I would run pirate faction just for the simple fact of Ship BPCs and faction implants. You might make faster isk in empire and be 99% safe from getting ganked, but the rewards are much better playing with the pirate agents.

Best time : About 10 mins for a Radar site in empire (probe drop and scan) Longest time : 6hrs+ with 2 of us scanning down a Radar site in Deklien near VFK. Was worth it...Net profit was about 600M each
