Mach and navy raven are two good choices. Shield tanks beat armor tanks for PVE. Better tank on shields and damage mods in the lows.

The Nightmare uses lasers, not missiles. The Machariel can do EM, thermal, Explosive and some kinetic damage. The nightmare can only do EM/Therm.

If you hate the raven, you have to find the drake as absolutely repulsive. As for what works best for 5 accounts though, that would be the dominix. You can have all the drones assist one ship. A good turret boat works best as lead.

Navy raven works a lot better than the navy scorp. It's better at hitting smaller targets. Spends less time reloading. More agile. Faster missiles means less wasted volleys. On paper, I much prefered the scorp but after using the scorp for a while...

Vargur has tank and tank. The mach has speed and DPS. Speed and DPS runs missions faster than tank does. Mach is more fun to fly as well. Come bastion mode, I look forward to reevaluating the Vargur but I'm a bit skeptical of the bastion modes 25%...
