I think being able to create alts and buy/sell characters makes it too easy to scam people. Anyways, I didn't lose a lot since I only invest small amounts of isk on this kind of stuff, and it was a VERY well done scam :)

Cormorant, or actually destroyers in general, have frigate sized guns AND a bonus for tracking. They will hit you when you go close if they have close range guns or medium range guns and web.
