Same problem here, random socket closed / connection lost problems since Oct 1. Absolutely sure nothing to do with local ISP, etc. cause I had multiple remote ssh and scp sessions at the time, plus other remote logins, none of them affected at all...

I have the same issues, tested several mouses, usb and bluetooth as well as trackpad. All the same, so no HW issue. As soon as I leave eve, mouse works normal as well. Pretty sure it's eve related.

deleted prefs folder, didn't work reinstalled client, didn't work deleted prefs folder again, then the client worked again after 10 minutes ingame, client hangs again, force quit only option and guess what: same thing, client doesn't start anymor...
