AFAIK ship mass affects the effectiveness of AB and MWD. A heavier ships gets less speed bonus.

Since the patch I don't fear these af/interceptor type frigates anymore to be honest. Ever since they (finally) also suffer from the MWD sig penalty, they die just as fast as any other frigate. 2 volleys of my 720s is usually enough to blast them ...

While I do always get webbed, I can't really recall being warp scrambled since a very long time. All NPC interceptors should be able to scramble, but they never seem to do so.
