As far is i know you build up a standing with a particular agent too. And if you start with a new one the pay in the beginning is lower. Also agents in lower sec pay more. THE reason i do missions in low sec :)

I have a setup for my Retribution (which i can not fly yet) and calculated that with the skills im gonna train for it my fitting fits with 0 PG left 1.5 CPU (or so i dont know exactly anymore) left :D

I do lvl 2 missions with my gimped skills and bad equip in a stabber. They are pretty hard but very doable imo :)
