yes you need an alt if you wanna do both. basically i have 2 accts one is a miner/builder of ships and my other is a mission/miner/pvp. depends on what my current mood/goal is but in todays game you do need an alt.

sadly the event agent's missions are about the same if not less interesting then normal agent missions. how 999 veldspire is worth a +1 implant is unknown to me, but I'll gladly do it since i don't have any implants atm.
