Last night a small group of us were out hunting PA. We find a target, I switch on mwd/scrambler and orbit him whilst firing lights. I'd say within about 15 seconds i'd lost ALL cap. A few of the other guys in the group said they experienced exactly the same thing...dramatic cap drain. If things had got a bit tasty I for 1 would not have been able to warp away.
Has any1 else experienced this since the patch

Ehm so your fighting a player right? Ever hear of nosferatus and energy neutralizers? It was a bug not drainers or nosferatu. There were 9 of us in the gang and only 3 hostiles none of them large enough to drain all the cap on several ships all at once.

I have seen this happen a few times over the past few days in specific systems. One jump away things went back to normal. Does that sound familiar?

I had the same problem with my Large Armor Repairers. Just after the patch they ate 2 times as much Cap as they should - so 800 per run instead of 400. But 2 jumps later everything came back to normal state. I will return today to the system where it happend so I'll check it. _________________

I noticed massive cap usage yesterday after the patch. My 10mn AB using punisher, pre-patch,was quite capable of running all three guns, the AB and two small repairers for... well a long time - 5 mins at least.
Immediately after the patch I couldnt even maintain a single repairer + AB with a nosferatu going.

I had somthing similar happen to me last night as well. In this case the cap drained instantly, then refilled then draind down 1 bar at a time, instantly recharged then started draining down 1 bar at a time util it reached the acctual cap level over and over. This seemed more of a graphical bug then an acctual cap bug

I've had the same thing, normally when flying my frig with two MWD's turned on. It was purely graphical for me. ====================================

I have experienced this too, one pump of a 1 mn mwd empties the cap totally. It seems to happen now and then, I cant find a pattern. And I havent been in a combat situation when this happened. Never seen it before tuesdays patch though.

I noticed that: When i assambeld a ship and the started with it, the first time I use a module the cap goes down to zero sometimes even the shild drops to zero.
This happens to my quite often, althoug only when ship was repacked bevor and used for the first time. But never after using ship for longer time or after several jumps

I had this happen in Jita. All other systems were fine but when I activated my MWD in Jita to head towards the exiting gate, my cap disappeared after one burst.
I have also noticed that Assembling a new ship, undocking, and then warping results in a loss of about 85% cap. Almost as if the client things I've activated an offline module.

I've been getting this 'cap bug' often myself. Unfitting and repackaging then refitting my modules seems to fix it for a while, then it happens again. It's only a display error for the capacitor quantity. You can still activate modules normally even if it tells you there is zero cap remaining. It is impossible to gauge how much you really have though--this is a big problem. ______________

Here also, but only active item I had was a 1mn MWD. One hit drained all my cap in my frigate. It's sparatic, sometimes drains, sometimes works fine. Haven't found any triggers to guarantee a repeat.

Getting same bug in Deklien area in certain systems. It's display bug though as I can run all my modules, but it's hard to fight without knowing what your cap is.
Has anyone from CCP looked at this?

noticed this on my osprey too. travelling through systems. Hitting MWD at gate results in 75-80% cap loss. The strange thing is even after u turn it off the cap seems to keep draining, thou not in 1 sudden burst as if i was using a module real strange
And other times i can flip my 3 miner2's on and it takes 10% cap (which is waaaaaaaaay too little), other times it works ok and takes 60-70% cap for all 3 lasers.
Real hard to tell wot cap i got left at times

Edited by: Altaireus on 16/09/2004 23:22:12 yep, same here, most noticable when flying ceptors.. even the shield recharge is bugged for me, sometimes it drains all shields by itself, and sometimes is says i have maybe 50% shields, but when i get hit i lose armor instead of shields, so apparantly i didnt have shields after all. not easy to stay alive in a small ship when you have no idea how much cap or shields you have

Been having this problem in at least Vale of the Silent, especially when flying my Crow (that has 300+ cap).
Hit MWD once = lose 95% cap
Warp 20 au = drain 90% cap
Not all the time, and not in all systems. p3en is particularly bad it seems.

This is a major bug, it's happened to me a lot. It's happened down in curse space as well as around x-70MU. I've had shuttles being drained in a 20au warp. My MWD would take off 60% of my cap; the bug appeared to be only visual though. Not knowing how much cap you have in battle is lethal.

Edited by: S'Daria on 22/09/2004 05:47:22 Ran a couple of Courier missions with a bunch of Overdrives, and a MWD and AFterburner.
I then have a Kill mission and change out all my low slots only to have all my modules use 2x the normal rate, while in the middle of fighting a Mutant Lord!!!
Luckily I realized the problem and turn off my MWD and Afterburner which usually only take a fraction (200+628=828 of 4554 cap), but instead take twice much cap for my MWD (200+1252=1452 of 4554 cap)!!!
Also all my lasers were using 2x as well.
Went back to a station and removed all my mid and low slots and then dragged them back on and everything seems ok now.
