Indeed, it is up to us. And we have found your "evidence" severely lacking.
From the fact that your so-called "expert" is a fraudster and a sham, to the fact that every single claim he's made has already been completely debunked by REAL scientists. There is nothing for the rational, logical person to conclude that the official story is anything other than the absolute truth.
As I quoted before:
"To try to convince people of missile attacks and rigged explosives and mystery jets is nothing more than an intentional assault on reason and common sense, one that damns the innocent and protects those mass murderers with our blood on their hands.
It's an obscenity. It's a filthy, God-damned, criminal obscenity. Nothing less."
Please take your obscene conspiracy theories elsewhere. They aren't welcome here.

The above is easily the most eloquent explanation of conspiracy theory that I've ever seen.
I've no doubt that the OP is perfectly intelligent. I've also got no doubt at all that the OP is applying all of that intelligence toward confirmation bias (i.e., attempting to prove that his preferred version of events is true) rather than scientific method (i.e, attempting to prove that his preferred version of events is false)
That's all a conspiracy theory is- a failure to apply the scientific method. - Verin "Stitcher" Hakatain. |

Whoa did you fail science??
That isn't even close to scientific method.
Scientific method
"Although procedures vary from one field of inquiry to another, identifiable features distinguish scientific inquiry from other methodologies of knowledge. Scientific researchers propose hypotheses as explanations of phenomena, and design experimental studies to test these hypotheses. These steps must be repeatable in order to dependably predict any future results. Theories that encompass wider domains of inquiry may bind many hypotheses together in a coherent structure. This in turn may help form new hypotheses or place groups of hypotheses into context."
What we are dealing with here is nothing more then flawed logic.

Edited by: Sokratesz on 02/03/2009 06:11:39 Merin I was setting up for a brilliant punchline :@
And I disagree that this has much to do with 'the scientific method'. I am presented with facts, observations but most of all a whole lot of opinions. I do not have the expertise to weigh them all for what they're worth so I am dependent on others to do that for me. Both camps take turns shouting why they are right and the rest is wrong which gets bloody annoying.

Nebulous,
It's quite obvious by your posts so far that you aren't interested in a discussion of the facts, or in even CONSIDERING that the conspiracy theorists MIGHT be wrong. Your only interest is in insulting me and anyone who disagrees with you. I'm sorry that you feel that is necessary.
Particularly since I have gone to such great trouble to point out that the PRIMARY "scientist" behind the website linked by the OP is a known shyster. I have attempted to help you by presenting you with the truth. You chose to insult me in response.
As a wise man once said, Insults are the last refuge of a scoundrel. I will not insult you, you insult yourself far more than I ever could.
Regardless, the 9/11 conspiracy theories are well and truly debunked. Please stop spreading such horrible lies.
Thank you.
Bish you have obviously not been reading my posts, I pointed out ealier that I did not take either side. Insult you? Please quote text where I have insulted you? If you read your own post you will see that you are the one that uses insults, like derogatory words that you use to describe people with mental illness.
..Or were you reffering to when I called you a biggot? (a word you like to throw at others) Well that isnt an insult, it's the truth, if I showed your posts to a mental health charity or mental health support group i'm 100% sure they would agree with me.
So Bish, next time please read before you reply.

The scientific method has yet to *prove* what gravity is, or why it exists. The founding blocks of what keeps our feet on the ground.
Many scientists have developed theories, including everything from a form of magnetism which works on a planetary level, to bends and warps in space time.
When you get down to it, science and scientists are no better than the rest of us. Wild guesses and estimation, in the best of times. They vaunt 'truth' just like the religious nutjobs they hate so much.
Words like 'truth' and 'fact' are more often then not easily replaced with 'opinion'. Educated opinions or baseless opinions, but still opinions.
It's a random as hell world we live in. Stuff happens, things we cannot explain and that make little or no sense. Use whatever bit of 'faith' you have to if it eases your conscious. But don't make the error of thinking that just because you see something one way, it is automatically right.
It's just your take on things.

Are you aiming for "most wrong post of the year" award? Scientists never claim to hold "the truth", and their "wild guesses and estimations" are always backed up by rigourous testing. ____________________
