I just did my first epic arc (penumbra). It was fun so I've decided to do them all. Problem is I messed up my standings with galls and matars when I was noob.
My current standings are:
caldari 5,71 (4,90) amarr 4,55 (3,52) gallente 1,59 (-0,02) minmatar 0,85 (-0,89)
social skills levels:
connections IV diplomacy IV distribution connections IV security connections IV social IV
I did all carrer agents for all 4 factions, circle agents for caldari, amarr and most of data centers for caldari, amarr and gallente. So few questions: 1) What to do first? Boost my amarr standing via cosmos missions and do epic arc for amarr to level up standing more. Then do circle agents, data centers and cosmos missions for matars, but keep up 5.0 with amarr (for epic arc)? 2) How much matar cosmos missions will reduce standing with amarr? 3) Can I do cosmos missions in T3 (any warp gates that would not let me in)? 4) Any standing reduction in amarr epic arc (for other factions ofc)?
"-What are you doing?"
"-Docking."(...)
-"It's not possible"
-"No, it's necessary."

Hello Jeremiah Saken,
Thanks for posting. I'll try to help as best as I can.
First thing to do is train level 5 in Connections and Social. The skill Connections will raise your current positive standings and Social will increase the amount of standing gained for completing missions.
Since you already have positive standing with the 4 main Empire Factions, all you really need to access the Epic Arcs is +5.00 standing with the Corporation of the starter Agents.
https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Epic_mission_arcs
I suggest running regular level 3 missions for Impetus (Gallente) and Brutor Tribe (Minmatar) to gain access to their Epic Arcs. Decline the Storyline mission offers so you won't diminish your Amarr and Caldari standings. Also don't forget to decline all Anti-Empire encounter missions
You can also run the level 1 SoE Epic Arc and choose one of the four main Factions for completion. In this case I suggest Minmatar since they're the lowest. Also all of the Epic Arcs can be redone every 90 days. There's a few missions that incur negative standings for ship kill but the amount is very small.
Once you have access to all of the Epic Arcs, it will be much easier to maintain Amarr and Caldari Faction standing while increasing Gallente and Minmatar Faction standing.
I use Mission Reports as a guide for the Epic Arcs. Be sure to read the comments section at the bottom of each mission page.
http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=MissionReportsEpicArc
Hope this helps to get you started, if you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

Anyone happen to know off hand if D3s are restricted from L1s? Feeling like getting started on clawing back some Minmatar standings this week and didn't know if a Jackdaw can be used or if I'm gonna run into gate troubles. It's either that or I dust off my old Hawk. Haven't been in that ship in ages it seems.

Since it's Destroyer class hull I don't see any reason why they couldn't be used.
Course if in doubt, the mission briefing should say if they're allowed or not allowed to access the mission site.

Don't forget that Strategic Cruisers are not allowed in certain DED sites even though Cruiser hulls (HAC, RECON) are.

Well, the mission briefing should list all ship classes that can access the mission site.
Worst case scenario, you won't be able to use a Tech 3 Destroyer and will have to use Tech 2 instead.
Anyway, thanks for posting. May you have much success repairing your Faction standings.

Hey, I'm not working the plan to repair anything in particular, but to make a gal trader
I started off as the plan said but have not alternated from minny to gal yet, I did the career, circle, data, and cosmos and am up to 7.84 minny and 7.05 gal
Now my understanding is that if I ran the minny epic arc it would really do nothing for me, is that correct? at least in regards to gal standings...
Also I know that derived standings go up to 8..,. so do you have any idea, even an estimation on how advantageous it would be for me to run minny missions now till my gal standings hit 8
Then moving to gal space and starting... career, circle, data etc etc as well as both gal and soe epics arcs
basically I wanna get as close to 10 as possible...
Thanks :) |

Ahhh, so you're working 'The Plan' to boost positive standings for a Trade character, good idea.
Yeah, that's correct, no derived standings for completing the Epic Arcs. Now if you've already completed all of the Minmatar Event Agents, then I suggest jumping over to Gallente and start doing their Event Agents.
The reason I say that is because it will take quite a bit of time grinding regular missions just to get a Storyline offer. Also you might have to decline the Storyline offer which will make it even longer to gain Faction and derived standing increase.
Just remember that the low level Gallente Event Agents won't show very much increase due to you already having high standings but still every little bit helps.
After completing the Gallente Event Agents, run the level 4 Minmatar and Gallente Epic Arcs every 3 months to continue raising standings and use the level 1 SoE Epic Arc to help increase / balance those standings.
Good luck to you and thanks for posting.

Ok, I'll switch over now... when all is said and done I'll post what standings I end up with
I know when I did it with my jita trader I ended up 9+ unmodified it'll be interesting what I end up with a gal trader
What worries me with gal is the apparent lack of cosmo content... I havent done an exhaustive search for a definitive list yet but at a glance it seems to be the faction with the least cosmos.
I've been tossing around the idea when I'm done just to take a char and run all 4 sets of cosmos and make a guide for all highsec cosmos for all 4 factions since it seems like everything out here has broken links and is hard to follow these days... I know most were done back when eve was newish, and that most ppl would say eve is dieing so no need for a guide but I personally think eve will be around for awhile yet. |

Well, the high sec Cosmos Agents were documented quite a while ago and CCP hasn't really done much to them so those guides are still viable.
Probably the most comprehensive one available at this time is this one written in German which requires the use of a translator app.
Also the EVE Special Agents Toolkit is another app listing mission info.
Then there's the old Gallente and Minmatar Cosmos Guide which is closed out but with the help of the 'Wayback Machine' you can still view the text.
Last is the Gallente Cosmos Guide listed in Evelopedia, however that doesn't offer much info, just a list of the Agents, location and mission names. It really should be updated with more info like the Evelopedia Amarr Cosmos Guide.
Anyway, I suggest checking them all out and do a Google search for more info.
Good luck.

I've completed all of the 'Recruiter' Agents in low sec at 'Fort Kumar' and 'The Alliance Barracks'. Their Level 4 mission is called 'Proving Your Mettle'. Basically you have to collect 'Certificates' and destroy a bunch of drones in a Training Center located in their system. I started with a cloaked T3 Cruiser and finished with a cloaked Force Recon Cruiser to use Combat Drones. Make sure you take out the EWAR / web-scram drones asap. I had Safe Spots set up and watched D-scan for other players. If local is busy, go do something else and be sure to check back at different time slots for an open window to complete the missions.
Amarr Military Training Facility
Minmatar Military Training Complex - 2nd room
The level 3 low sec Empire Cosmos Agents don't give any Faction standing increase.
The only two Empire Cosmos Agents I haven't completed yet is Ison Tiadala - Warlord (Minmatar) and Minas Iksan - Central Control Tower (Amarr). They each offer a 10 part mission series against their enemy Factions which require destroying a lot of Empire NPC's. I decided I would do them later due to no BPC's as reward plus I'd like to build up more standings to act as a buffer. I'll probably run them both at the same time so as to maintain access to both Agents. I consider those two Agents as the End Game for the Empire Cosmos Agents.
My next goal is to complete the Guristas and Angel Cosmos Agents followed by the Thukker Tribe Cosmos Agents. Will definitely need a large buffer on the Empire Faction standings for that. Last I plan to work on the Null Sec Cosmos Agents.

Well I decided to go into lowsec and mess with those before I flip to gall so for your reference with good social skills you can go from neutral to 8.41 Minny and 7.9 Gal... unmodified of course
Now having said that I did make 1 single mistake in that I also turned in 1 gall standings cosmos while I was in that lowsec system, the proving your mettle one
I also did the Ison Tiadala mission we were talking about and let me just say be sure to have a nice buffer as it hit my caldari standings pretty hard on my main combat char... I was however able to get through all that series with a tengu, though it took a bit of time.
another thing to keep in mind, that brought my modified minny standings up enough to turn in the first cosmos that get you BPCs, Mutama Czeik in Barkirk, my m odified after that was still only 8.72 so I stopped with Mutama, so I suppose if I was really anal about it I could grind missions till 9.6 or whatever it is and turn in Thoras tags and then to 9.9 and turn in Makors tags....
That would bring me up to 8 unmodified derived in gal but honestly, .1 gal standings is not worth that much extra work so I am just making the switch now.
Anyway... Tomorrow I plan on making the move to gal space so I'll keep you updated

Yeah, now you know why I said Ison Tiadala - Warlord (Minmatar) and Minas Iksan - Central Control Tower (Amarr) are the 'End Game' for the Empire Cosmos Agents.
Since there's hardly any info available on the Low Sec Cosmos Agents, my plan when I run them is to document them with screen shots like I posted earlier. Could document them in the Test server (Singularity), definitely wouldn't have to worry about interruptions from other players. I just don't like the idea of having to do it twice though.
Which reminds me, did you happen to document that mission series from Ison Tiadala?

Well that sux, makes it very tough to gain access to the other two Cosmos Ship BPC Agents. Oh well, at least we got the Epic Arcs to help gain access to them.
Anyway, thanks a lot for posting that info. Keep up the good work.

unfortunatly I didnt keep any real documentation.. I was doing it late and wasn't thinking.
I have made my flip to gal space and started at a 7.9 umodified and in case your curious heres what it was after each career area
8.09 then 8.26 then 8.41
my circle agent turn in brought me to 8.43
after that I did the data centers, did the 2 with only 2 agents followed by the bigger one they went
8.47 then 8.52 then the last big one brought me to 8.87 standings
Next I'll start hitting cosmos but that will probably take a couple days so I'll let ya know what I'm at when I finish that... then i'll move on to gal epic and lastly soe epic and finally on to just plain grinding missions if that doesnt bring me to my goal, although I would imagine this will bring me to 9.4ish when all is said and done so we'll see... I may just end up running missions for federation navy standings more than gal standings. (for the corp standing in dodixie)
anyway, that's it for now and on my next char that I do standings I'll be sure to document everything so we can get some up to date screenshots and info. I plan on having a guy in every hub then after that I imagine I'll do a lil repairing on my combat char lol. |

I want to switch Gallente Militia in a short time period, in this situation what is your suggestion to repair Gallente standing? Do I need to drop militia first? Thanks for your helping.
You can solve that problem by doing Gallente distribution missions. That means boring missions to transport small stuff between stations. A fast destroyer would be enough (relating to cargo hold requirements) for the level 1 missions to ease on the time it takes for jumping gates. After every 16 or so regular missions a special mission will be offered that will give a lot of standing. Basically it boils down to getting those special missions while the other ones are quite insignificant. In my case I had -5.64 standing with Amarr including level 4 diplomacy. After doing one special (distribution) level 1 mission it changed to -5.55 :-) Still have to work my way to above -5.00 in order to fly safely in space pockets to do more exciting security missions.
Have fun :-) |

So your still only able to do this once in a characters life time? Currently i hit my standings hard with amarr being in the minmatar faction warfare. But honestly i like to hop between the two or having options because atm i don't have a corp and don't really know in what space i will be flying in 3 months or even a half a year from now. This just seems so tedious and will be worse later on if i decide to waste it this time around with a standing. Am i missing something? does CCP plan on changing something in this area? i enjoy making the decision important but idk making it an one in a life time kind of thing seems a little harsh to me. |

Yes, almost all of the Event Agents listed in 'The Plan' can only be completed once in the characters lifetime. Currently the only exception are the Epic Arc's which can be completed every 90 days. Epic Arc's can always be accessed as long as the Faction remains above -2.00 standing along with +5.00 or higher Corporation standing.
Currently there's no definite plans that I know of that's being worked on pertaining to Standings. Course CCP likes to do things without giving any prior notice. I'm sure they have lot's of changes planned for this game which includes Agents, Missions and Standings. However most of their plans are nothing more than a 'Wish List', a nice dream that rarely ever comes true. The plans that do get worked on usually takes a long time to be put into action.
As for 'The Plan' being tedious, most players spend years creating negative standings so of course it'll take some time to repair those standings. 'The Plan' has proven itself time and time again to be the easiest and quickest way to not only repair negative Faction standings but also boost positive Faction standings as well.
Yes it's a big decision to get positive standings with all Empire Factions, definitely not something to take lightly. So if you're not sure about it and feel more comfortable playing 'Hopscotch' with Factional Warfare, then it's probably best to just continue doing that.
Thanks for posting and good luck to you, whatever you decide to do.
