That's a very good question. The Data Center Agents are the only one's who accept Pirate Tags for Faction standing increase.
It won't take very long to fix your Amarr standing. With Social and Connections skills trained up, at most just a couple of storyline missions will do the trick.
Now if Caldari Faction is higher than -5.00 standing, you can enter Caldari space and work their Event Agents listed in 'The Plan' to gain derived standings towards Amarr. IE, the Caldari Data Center Agents.
When Amarr Faction get's up above -5.00 standing, you can then enter Amarr space and work their Event Agents. IE, the Amarr Data Center Agents.
Hope this was helpful and good luck to you. My advice is to work the Event Agents whenever needed to keep your standings up.
Thanks. I am in Inari running level 1 courier missions for Joint Harvesting and I am at -5.20 standing with Amarr with all social skills at 4 so hopefully this won't take much longer. I just need -4.99. |

I made a mistake, Connections will only affect your current positive standings which doesn't apply in this specific situation. Diplomacy skill affects your current negative standings and does apply. Training Diplomacy level 5 will more than likely give you access to Amarr space. Also just wanted to mention the Social skill increases the amount of standing gained for completing missions.
However, right now if your Caldari standing is above -5.00 then I suggest going to Caldari space and complete a few of the Caldari Data Center missions.
That's probably a lot Faster than grinding 16 level 1 missions to get 1 storyline for Faction standing increase.
Anyway, good luck to you. Hopefully this info helps.

DMC I have diplomacy 5, meant most at 4. 135M SP. =D I think I may have done those data center missions when I was very young in the game, but I will check them out. Easy way to know if you've done those agents, check info on the agent and select the standings tab. It will show the agents standing towards you and if it's 0.00 then it's neutral and available. Any other number, either positive or negative, means you've interacted with the agent in the past and is not available.
Another way to check is in your character sheet, standings menu, liked by tab. Scroll down and search through the agents. If the agent is listed there, then you've interacted with that agent.
That takes some time, it's much easier to just pull up the agent info box and check the standings tab.

Just a little info you may or may not find useful. There are always threads asking about whether its possible to have high standings to all factions. I recently did a little math (using formulas found on the wiki) and found that, if you have Connections 5 and Social 5 and you chose the highest faction standing option for each epic arc (12.5% with max skills), you would get an effective standing of 7+ to all 4 factions in 2 years (8 x epic arc) and a base standing of 7+ in 2.5 years (10 x epic arc). This assumes you do nothing else to mess with faction standings, whether positive or negative.
Effective Standings after each run: 1st: 3 2nd: 3.872 3rd: 4.64 4th: 5.312 (L4 agent access) 5th: 5.896 6th: 6.408 7th: 6.856 8th: 7.248
Base Standings after each run (for POS Anchorage): 1st: 1.25 2nd: 2.34 3rd: 3.3 4th: 4.14 5th: 4.87 6th: 5.51 (POS in .5) 7th: 6.07 (POS in .5, .6) 8th: 6.56 (POS in .5, .6) 9th: 6.99 (POS in .5, .6) 10th: 7.37 (POS in .5, .6, .7) Bokononist

Zaxix,
Thanks for posting that info.
Yes, the Epic Arcs will indeed raise Faction standings quite high over time which is why I included them in 'The Plan'.
However, some of the Epic Arc missions do incur negative Faction standing hits for aggression and ship kill which you forgot to include in your calculations. Albeit they're small negative standing hits but they do add up over time.
Disregarding those small negative standing hits, it seems your calculations are based on a starting point of neutral standings towards all Factions. This is great for some characters but most characters have negative standings with various Empire Factions..
Also I'd like to point out that the Epic Arcs only give positive standing increase to the 4 main Empire Factions. There are actually 8 different Factions that control high security solar systems.
The main reason for working 'The Plan' is to repair negative Faction standings quickly and easily. Most players are looking to access high level agents or just want the ability to travel freely throughout high security systems without being attacked by Faction Navy NPC's. The added bonus from working 'The Plan' is that over time it will enable players to have high positive standings with all Empire Factions.
As such 'The Plan' is still the fastest and easiest way to repair negative Faction standings as well as boost positive Faction standings.
Thanks again for posting and please keep me informed of any alternate ways to gain high Faction standings. I'm always open to changing or adding more options to 'The Plan' whenever possible.

Yes, the calculations assume a total neutral start. In order to actually do the arcs, you'd need to get the corporation standing from missions (denying all faction missions). The purpose of providing them was simply to show that one could get high standings with all 4 major factions with a little patience. While your plan is focused on repair, everything in it is pretty good info for someone looking to plan ahead as well .
While there are some standings hits for particular ships in particular missions, it's simple enough to run the missions with a buddy/alt to take the hits for you (like your plan recommends). What I did not include are the standings from the SOE Epic Arc, which is 8.75% at max standings. If you did each faction twice (1 per year over the 2 years of my calculations, for a total of 2 per faction), you'd still exceed any standings hits in the missions (I believe the highest is a 3% standings hit in one or two missions in several of the arcs). So there are two options for standings hits mitigation.
True, it doesn't give POS standings in Khanid or Ammatar. I just noticed that there are some Concord systems that are .7 or below. If someone still had Concord standing or a way of getting standing, I guess they could anchor there.
Khanid Ammatar Concord Minmatar Gallente Caldari Amarr
Who's the 8th? I thought I'd done all my faction homework! Bokononist

Zaxix,
Yeah, don't get me wrong, I totally agree that the Epic Arcs are an excellent source to gain positive Faction standing and as I said before is exactly the reason they are included in 'The Plan'.. Also I always encourage and advise players to use the level 1 Sister's Of Eve Epic Arc to help raise and or balance lop-sided Faction standings.
Now I'm not arguing or downing your alternate plan or the calculations you've done (I hate doing math). I'm sure it'll work and can be very useful, especially for a Trade / Industrial alt character. Just gonna be a long road consisting of declining all Empire encounter missions along with accepting NO storyline missions whatsoever.
And yes, after 2 1/2 years the character should be able to anchor a POS (1 man corp) in systems belonging to 4 of the 8 high sec Factions (Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, Minmatar).
By the way, the 8th Faction controlling high sec systems : The Interbus
Now if that same character works 'The Plan' within the same time period of 2 1/2 years, that character should be able to anchor a POS (1 man corp) in systems belonging to 6 of the 8 high sec Factions (Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, Minmatar, Khanid, Ammatar).
Currently there's no Starbase Charter available from Concord or The Interbus to allow POS anchoring, but knowing CCP that is subject to change at any time.
Anyway, thank you again for posting that information and I wish you lot's of luck.

Hello DMC
I have some questions!
Today I have this standings:
Servant Sisters of EVE7.66 Mordu's Legion Command5.29 Caldari State4.72 Khanid Kingdom4.46 Ammatar Mandate3.02 Gallente Federation-0.48 Amarr Empire-1.34 Minmatar Republic-0,92
I Just did the SOE newbie arc and increased the minmatar standing.
I can Keep doing SOE distribution level 2 missions, 16+ storyline, till I get the gallente and minmatar increased.
But then, what is the next step?
I really want to avoid the SAW problem. Any suggestions?
MY goal is to have a +5 or +7 with the main amarr, caldari, gallente and minmatar factions, OK, will take some years, but is a goal! :)

Dino Ginger,
Thanks for posting.
Since your standings aren't too bad, I'd just work the various Agents listed in 'The Plan'. Can easily gain +5 Faction standing with the 4 main factions doing that.
Of course the very first thing to do is train up the various Social skills.

One thing to note on "The Plan", if you are going to do the COSMOS missions to increase standings it would be very worthwhile to try and do them all at the same time and flip-flop back and forth between them. This should give you the best return on increasing faction standings. |
