Someone post here the log of me aggressing them. I challenge you. Make sure that the log shows that it was within one minute of me losing my ship AND then I will take it to CCP for fair judgement to see if it is in their logs.
I'm really not too shaken about it. Yeah, it sucks and all but I know that it was not my fault for losing it. I mean, **** happens.

Im pretty sure the station guns would have insta-pop any of our fleet with the ships we were flying :P

There's something I don't understand, Siigari.
Let's say for argument's sake that you hadn't yet attacked anyone. You're still flying a rare, expensive ship with many expensive fittings. You were well inside the docking ring for the station. If you had no intention of fighting, why did you hit your modules at all instead of docking?
You had multiple points on you -before- you triggered your modules. The first point was there immediately when the fight began, so it's not like you were hitting your modules while you align to a warp out. In a very short period of time you had as many as 5 points on your ship.
The only conclusion I can garner is that you intended to aggress.. Making your argument that you hadn't moot, as it would have been just a matter of seconds. Moreover, the fact you DID engage your modules also shows that you had time to dock, but chose not to, as you were in the docking ring the entire time I was present on grid.
So I won't argue whether or not you crashed. Near as I can tell from available evidence during the fight, your intentions were to retaliate... Quite probably ending in the same result, unless you managed to very quickly kill 5+ points and warp away. So I don't really understand the reasoning behind hitting your modules, but complaining about not having sufficient time to dock while in the docking ring. |

For argument's sake, it was the first time I had multiple targets firing at me. My intention was see if I could tank under that much fire. Sadly, I don't even know now. All I know is my cap dried out and I exploded.

Congrats on getting one.
Least you got the logs, but I've not always gotten ships back, even if they do whatever was dropped is gone. Good Luck on the petition though.
(Incidentally they can't tank good from what I've been told by alliance mates, they tested some on SiSi and found that t3 cruisers seem to have worse tanks than some t1s)

Yesterday evening I was talking with my corpmate and a few friends about getting tech 3 ships. I told my corpmate that I'd buy him one and I would give a deal to a few friends so they could fly theirs too. It was going to be 2 Proteus', a Tengu, Loki and Legion. So, I bought the GTCs today before logging in, and wasn't going to try and get the isk put together until I could get ahold of my contact for a new price check on the new ships.
So, those aren't actually for MY Proteus (I can get another one myself) but for my corpmate's. I have a long history of giving away neat stuff to my corpmates and this is just the next neat thing for me, so instead of faction fleet, it'd be Tech 3 fleet.
And believe me, that ship was awesome, and so will the next one I get my hands on. Dunno how long it'll be though. Hopefully CCP examines the logs I sent them and agrees with me this is no bueno and reimburses the ship.
