The Fanfest venue is huge so I think we'll be able to squeeze everyone in. If not we'll just hire some of those subway people from Japan.
The Fanfest access pass was 75 USD last year, correct me if I'm wrong, and if it changes for this year it'll still remain around that number.

i have a question, i invite my buddies for an exclusive 21-day trial and he already become an EVE Online subscriber.so the system show me that Active subscriber, 30 days added to your account 2009/4/25 16:22:00 .but why do i not receive the free 30d game time ? what is wrong whit the system? please help me ! i use the ccp support system and i great my petition,but After five days I have not received any information for my petition so i want kown how tracking my petition. i have a petition ID.please help me !

Okay so now Ive booked the flight and hotel. Just waiting for the access
pass to be released for sale.
Ill be flying from Copenhagen Sundag the 27th of September and leaving
Iceland the 4th of October.
Ill be staying at the Hilton Nordica hotel.
As I like the Viking history, I hope to visit some known sites in iceland,
plus the natural phenomenas like geysirs and the blue lagoon geothermal
spa. Before the EVE fanfest kicks off.
Looking forward to meeting you all

Where do you buy the tickets?
I have looked on the account management page but donÆt see any way to buy fanfest passes.

This. Ok, so I guess the PLEX way works atm, but that seems like an awful lot of hoops to jump through to get your pass. We'll soon be able to buy passes directly with RL money, right? Just like previous years?

I was about to ask the same question. 
Using PLEX is a good deal more expensive for me. ($75 doesn't equal Ç34,95*2.5)

I was browsing hotel reservations last night, and I was wondering, is the Hotel Reykjavik a long way from the Fanfest Venue?
It looks like it's not that far off on a map, but a more detailed opinion would be most welcome.
It's next to the bus station anyway, so if the venue has a bus stop that's a valid method too.

Almost, but not quite - after pressing confirm (VISA payment) and waiting for a bit I see this:
ERROR
The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:01:00. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout.

Officaly CCP has lectures and is a conference.. with round tables and most Institutions need to spend grant money to get the same amount next year.
You have a good shot of getting some money for research

If it's value you're looking for then it's a good price in my opinion. I have organized a few jeep tours, not this one though, and granted there are different companies with different tours and sometimes you can get discounts for large groups and so on but I'd be surprised if the ticket cost covered the full cost of the jeep tour. It definately does not cover the jeep tour, spa and shopping trip and the Fanfest party, if you were to arrange and pay for those things yourself.

NO PLEX TICKETS ONLY PLEASE
The current policy for "buying" tickets:
CCP allows players to use PLEX for buying tickets by at this very moment its the only way to pay.
However, I have 4 accounts automatically payed by creditcard. I dont need PLEX. For over 2 years I have 4 accounts and I am satisfied.
Also, I have a hotel booked and flight as well for over one month now.
So, CCP correct yourself and allow payment in RL currency as well. Dont force PLEX upon anyone who doesnt want too.
I sincerely hope this is a minor oversight and corrected very soon. I bet other players are not amused.... by this kind of news.

You can purchase the passes with real life currency - simply log in to the Account Management section and you'll see an option to buy the pass.

Can i make a sugestion to CCP and Icelandair's.
We have in Germany a service from the Railway company (Deutsche Bahn in short DB) it calls Fly & Rail.
It means from everwhere in Germany you can travel whit DB to your Airport and back.
Icelandair offers Fly & Rail ticketes, but that they do that is mention somewhere deep in the FAQ.
Other offer from Icelandair offers Fly & Rail Tickets.
Maybe you consider to ask Icelandair to add Fly and Rail tickets to the option.
At the moment it is sending a e-mail whit a ticket request
