BattleClinic has been undergoing some refactoring, that included the directories that EVEMon uses to hold the auto-update data files. This should all have been resolved now, please do post back here or on BattleClinic if you have any further problems.

Hi I love EVEmon and I used to use it all the time, up until there was an update which kept going wrong so I had to reset the cache and now I've re added my character It comes up with no info what-so-ever. Just white. Can anyone help with this?

EVEMon 1.2.8 has been released, please check the Change Log for further details of changes since 1.2.7.
Auto-update will not be enabled until early tomorrow morning to spread the load on the BattleClinic download servers.

I just wanted to thank a lot for this nice program. Very helpful on my long journey of skilling :) Btwe, this last update looks very nice!
Two things whitch I would love to see 1) please if that would be possible, let wallet balance displayed on G15 display. Then it would actually make more sence for me to really use it.
2) New Overwiev tab is very nice. Would it be possible to add refresh button whitch would update all chars in Evemon at once. Or maybe, just refresh button next to each char, so I would not need to go to each char tab for update?

That is very generous of you, Scetrov is my main - if you tag it EVEMon I will try and distribute it between the contributors for the current release, EVEMon is very much an aggregated effort of many people all of whom I am sure will be grateful of the donation.

Great tool. I really like the new overview page. Quite often I launched EVEMON and had to wait for it to minimize, so I could see the pop-up overview from the tool bar. Problem solved!

Great App,
2 skill queue related feature requests:
1) In the skill planner, Would it be possible to highlight the skills that are currently in your queue, (maybe move them up to the top of the list?)
2) Add a warning somewhere in the UI for characters that have less than 24 hours remaining in their queue?
I find my biggest problem now is that I forget to queue more skills and end up with dead training time. :-(

Edited by: Zizou on 19/06/2009 11:55:57 Getting an issue with the new 1.2.8.1385 version where it minimizes ok and for a while it is fine to double click on its system tray icon to maximize and mouse over for the overview thing but after a while, though the systray icon remains, it stops responding and no longer maximizes or shows the overview on mouseover.
Have to relaunch program to get it working again.
Vista 64.
edit: Just seen it happen again and it was immediately after clicking a light bulb alert notifier in the systray for evemon to say a skill had finished that the main systray icon stopped responding. |

How would you use it, would a button, menu item or shortcut key that launched the Skill Browser alone in its own window be what you are after? would you also want this for the ship, certificate and item browser? |

Zizou, I will log that on our ticketing system. In the mean time if it is causing you a problem I suggest disabling the minimize to tray from the settings window.

to clarify: i would like to be able to access the skill explorer from anywhere where a skill is visible.
would it be possible to include the skilldescription in the skillexplorer?
Example: i see a skill in the certificates window, i wonder if the skill might be worth training. now i have to go to the skillbrowser to see what the skill enables/does. not a big deal but i thought several times already when using it that it would be nice if.....i could see description without having to go to the skillbrowser.

Just to let you know Evemon is awesome and thanks to all for providing it.
Updated fine on my main XP computer but had a few problems with Windows 7 RC1, the program would try and updated itself every time it was started.
Fixed by un-installing, then downloading the .exe installer file and doing a complete re-install, now working fine in Windows 7 RC1 build 7100.

That is interesting, I develop on a Windows 7 RC workstation without problem, can you tell me where EVEMon is installed? What you describe can happen on any operating system if you install EVEMon to say C:\EVEMon rather than C:\Program Files\EVEMon, the installer is hard-coded to install to Program Files, so when the updater downloads and installs EVEMon it updates the version in C:\Program Files\EVEMon but not the one you have a shortcut to. |

To answer your questions it looks like it might have been my fault I had two lots of Evemon installed (I didnÆt realise or check) one in C:\Program Files\Evemon and one in D:\Program Files\Evemon.
My shortcut pointed to the second instance (in D:) but I think the updater updated the first in C: (just confirmed by running each instance direct from the exe file and both ran fine), the one in D: was the one the uninstall program took out.
So my fault not yours, and thanks again for the program, might be worth building in a check for more than one install just in case youÆre a klutz like me and install twice lol.

Check to see if the alt in question has a paused skill queue, for some reason this breaks the API. Failing that make a post on BattleClinic and someone will look into it for you.

I have this too, but not a level IV recently finished, a Level V recently finished. My negative numbers are different though... SP: -2,147,378,742/250 and -858951497% Done and the skill is Analytical Mind

Well, i had an issue, today, when a skill finished (during the DT) the skill was not recognised by Evemon (missing skill points) but instead, it said, i am learning with 2729 SP per hour, which is obviously wrong.(wished it were so) in an attempt to clear the situation, i created a new API,and reinstalled Evemon. Now the Data is correct again, but it doesn t show me my owned/trained skills at all.

This problem "seems" to have recently sorted itself out. Not seen it for 24 hours ish.

seems the basic info given at each chars mainpage doesnt show, like 323 skills, 65 million sp, 70 skills at level 5 if the char has no clone installed.

Sorting can be done by clicking the column headers in much the same way you sort lists in other windows.

With the new scanning system skills got renamed and descriptions changed, but the old ones are still in the EVEMon data, as are the old probes and launchers in the item list. I'll quote the devblog on it.

The exception to this is the Virtue implant set, which keep giving strength bonuses. * Deviation implants stay the same.
