You get more minerals from NPC hunting that you do mining. What CA should really do is trim the fat, get rid of some dead weight, axe the miners, put them on the KOS list. Unless the mining corps are actually physically providing battleships. I don't know. Until now I assumed that VOTF was doing all the mining.

Edited by: BobGhengisKhan on 23/08/2004 22:23:50 Only asking questions cause I still have some friends in Curse
Does every corp have to pay the tax when they mine? Does it also apply to refining NPC loot? If not, wont the corps youre trying to tax just move to chaining npcs, selling the commander loot, and refining the basic mods to build with? Does it take a council vote to buy someone a ship with the minerals? Does the tax apply everywhere, or only to minerals mined in Curse claimed territory? Is there anyone monitoring these corps to make sure theyre complying?

Oh ok, I'm supposed to say you're better and always will be right?
But in short I agree with Jade. Basic Eve economic laws will always be applicable. Which the old CFS alliance structure during year 103 was a perfect example of. You might be able to 'dodge' them for a while but they will catch up on you. Unless the 'devine hand from above' interferes once again.
Are you so sure of yourselves you think you can keep attacking all those different alliances to prevent them from gathering resources and still keep up with your own logistics? What if they all would bond together and make life hell for every CA? Overthrow the CA council and reinstate a new government? That hell might freeze over but it probably won't.
It's just funny when every time a thread pops up mentioning certain suggestions to CA peeps tend to go berzerk. ___________________________ Favorite bumpersticker of the month: My head hurts! |

Here is an idea, why don't you worry about UNICOR. I don't really think anyone wants your advice tbh. How long did UNICOR last? I think you set a record for futility.

I'm not worried. We're still all great friends having fun. And I'm proud the way we work together. You can't buy that with all the ISK in Eve. ___________________________ Favorite bumpersticker of the month: My head hurts!

That's sort of what i was hoping for. We like being members of curse, we like the region, so do many others. However, through no fault of our own, we've ended up with brutal, greedy, tyranical overseers, whom everybody is too afraid of to do anything about or speak up against. It's done plenty in private corp chats, and to each other, but if it reaches the ears of those in charge... look out, lest you be sucking vaccuum with your corpmates for all eternity.
Curse is a great place to be, but the proverbial serpent needs it's head cut off.
I don't know why you have fear of speaking up. Maybe your talking to the wrong people?

This idea would be great if this were RL. I hate to bring in another one of those "reality check" things, but it's true. People arn't gonna like the proposed idea becuase it's ognna take a lot of from their current "gig". But I do agree taht coming onto the forums and whinning like a 9 yeard old is totally ridiculous. If you don't like it leave ffs?

RUS should stand up and do what's right. Claim Cache for yourself, you can easily defend it.
LOL, RUS have honour and stand by their friends. That was a weak attempt to **** RUS off at CA. Try again
I believe one of the rus quotes passed on to me about the situation were something like "You just send me list of people to kill" and "I send people to mine there" __________________________________________________

Originally by: Rover Vitesse I just want to clear something up..... This proposed tax is 20% ????
Hmm, i thought CA's official stance was 2.5% was way too much to ask for. They even went on a lofty crusade to free people in Period Basis from the shackles of the 2.5% evil tax.
2.5% was too much tax for another alliance to charge another when the taxing alliance had no presence and didnt give anything back to the taxed.
Wheras we are taxing to recieve alliance contribution form people who did not previousily contribute. People who have and do contribute will in turn recieve alliance benifits for their tax money.

Well miners have to come into it at some point. Hard to make ships and weapons if you don't have any ore.
Thats a useless statement. It is very easy to b e self-sufficient without an army of mining ebay'ers.
Not that I touch mining lasers myself, but even I realize that somewhere along the way you either mine the ore yourself or pay someone else to do it. ....................................... FREEDING FRENZY ______)\______)\_____/(_______ ______)\______\o/____/(_______ ______)\______/(_____/(_______

Unicor seemed pretty much alive and kicking to me last weekend. They made a decent fleet and kicked over some TPS stations. I think its a "rumours of their demise" moment monsieur CA.

I will happily accept your apology DJTheBaron. I've never surrendered to anyone or anything hence far in eve. In fact Halseth had to kick me out of the NVA so he could go on to surrender to people without me interfering with my Hawkish attitudes ;)
