How does it feel to work for an utterly incompetent company?
Dude, you are freaking RUDE. These guys are working their butts off trying to keep this game running and online, just so ungrateful people like you can hurl random insults. You don't deserve a internet connection, you know that?

Don't you guys know this is all on our end because
'There logs show nothing is wrong with Tranquility and the server is working as intended" Cause thats the excuse for every thing. Seriously fix it before you put it back up FFS!

I don't care if there's unscheduled DT, and I've been careful not to jump on the bandwagon of criticism, but this is ridiculous.
I say get the problem properly sorted before you put it back up, instead of half-fixing it like you evidently just did.
I got to agree with this statement. I get that **** happens...sometimes happens twice, but in the last 24hrs how many times has it happened.

if you compare a game with an online banking server ( which ofcourse does NOT need stability nor upgrades ), i rest my case.
Uhm, what? I was infact saying that you CANNOT compare the two. A gaming service needs constant fast drastic code changes. That's at the expense of perfect stability. Just check how fast they pull out revisions for EVE.
A critical service like banking needs perfect stability. You do not pull out dozens of code revisions a day and expect to have them live within a month or so.
So you would expect random ****-ups from a fast revised system like a game, and you would expect uttermost stability from a banking system.

In the good old days when things like this happened in EverQuest, the player base was told:
- There is nothing wrong on our (Sony's) end so it must be you and your connections. - The players are too stupid to understand the complex arrangement of servers so glitches happen. - A patch is being applied for the patch that was applied to the scheduled downtime patch. - Server down x hours (even double digits)? So what you losers...
So these small time outs are quite a relief to what I (and many others) experienced back in our original prime days.

I don't care if it's down for another 3 hours, just don't put it back up at 15.30 and have it break at 16.00. If you think it might do that...don't do it, you'll only have more angry folks.

Hours in a month: 720 Hours spent in SCHEDULED downtime: 30 Patches/Unscheduled downtime: 10 (if 1 patch a month plus some "database issues") Total unplayable hours a month: 40 Total playable hours a month: 680
680 hours for whatever the plex costs is not bad in my books.
Mind you, this doesnt take in to account those who live in the timezone where downtime directly coincides with leisure time.
