Tranquility is restarting following a database issue. It should be back online by 14:30 GMT / UTC.
plus the "0 seconds" which usually take 5 minutes.

Now get the server running or the Damsel('in distress') gets it (up her a**)!
I think I peed a little in my pants over this one. Rebooting undies now.

they should compensate us for lossing game time as most service providers do when you are not able to access the service because of the providers fault

If that's an issue for you; get a life.
i have a life. and a company, which it would be bankrupt in less than a week if our servers ( 2 banks, one insurance company ) would work like CCP's.
I doubt those services have to go through anything comparable to the amount of code and database changes that EVE has to be subject to in order to keep us entertained. With games you have to juggle between stability and evolving code.
i doubt you know what serious services means :)
if you compare a game with an online banking server ( which ofcourse does NOT need stability nor upgrades ), i rest my case.

Isn't the Tranquility server the database with an issue?
It could've been bring your kids to work day and they pulled all the leads out to use as a skipping ropes, it'd still be reported as a database issue.
It is a very complicated database. But what do you know? You can't even string a coherent sentance together.
Sorry, I didn't comprehend that last message, I don't know what a sentance is.

Originally by: Jannessa I was wondering if in fact compensation should be in order for the pilots of new eden? I mean we are paying for this server and i have to say in the 3 months i have been back the server going up and down like a french hooker on the busiest night of the week is not impressive.
I mean this is a pay service and we are not getting quality service, Most of these crashes are probably due to patching the server with those massive "Un-Tested" patches.. I say untested because had they been tested this stuff would not be happening correct? I say CCP should tack a few days on to everyones account to compensate for all the downtime weve been having no?
yeah coz 15 minuts of extra downtime is worth atleast a dayworth of payment, so yeah i agree, we shoudl get atleast a few months of extra subscription coz of all these crashes
*sarcasm off*
but seriously, you dont have to play(and thus pay for) Eve. So just stop playing and go play WoW, and enjoy their server crashes. **** happens live with it.

It amazes me how many people whine about the Devs not posting anything on the Forums.....
I think the last thing they need to be doing is *****ing about on the forums when there is a server to get back up.

ofcourse you dont :) you probably were still in kindergarten when we were coding CBOE's servers on Pentiums ( 20,000 transactions a second btw ). Dont worry, you'll grow up and learn.

Why don't you go click on that nice little eve icon to find out rather than pressing an endless amount of extra buttons to make a post just to ask?

change the hamsters for wombats, wombats are bigger, stronger, tougher and have a longer lifetime compared to hamsters. also wombats are more able to look after themselves, hamsters need to get feeding, wombats feed themselves. both are rodents, so thats a similarity wich probably means the wombats are well able to fill the same roles as the hamsters.
