Has started happening to me again on TQ. Normally caused after multiple hours of being online combined with gate jumping. Yesterday had it come up on multiple gates in Sinq/Genesis and some stations in Heimatar. If I see it again I shall get program. It's more common when I'm dualboxing and I wouldn't be surprised if it also is caused by low page/virtual memory.

It only hapens to the first (any) planet I open and if I open another planet the problem is fixed until I log and relog. This happens only from time to time and not everytime I log.
I have the latest drivers for a ATI Radeon HD 5800 Intel Core Quad Q9550 2.83 Ghz 8GB memory windows 7 64
Some tips from a fellow programmer: when I open the planet it takes 2 seconds and the grafics stalls, I checked it wasn't the CPU but the disk. It seams to be the bottleneck and the problem cause for this for some reason I think the texture wasn't loaded because the disk didn't delivery it on time, maybe a time out somewhere... hope it helps.
I also have a feeling that something like this is happening. |

I've gotten this as well on occasion. But only after the client has been running for while. However, I could swear it seems like it starts after I've been alt tabbing out of the client a few times after playing for 3-4 hours.
I have resource caching enabled.
After Inferno I noticed something similar after running the client for a while: Ships appearing white and textureless for a few moments after a jump. Then the textures would load slowly one at a time. It didn't affect anything except ships though. |

typical this error occurs after 4-5hours all grafik high; only resource cache disabled GTX 570 1280MB MemorySize 820MB used
i tried also all graphic low, error also shown up after hours of playing
some points - white ship with gatecloak - bubble around jumped ship - no warp effect - tactical view white horizontal axis - long bubble viewed in all "looked down" - defect icons from ships targeted and hangar (like background color in lowresolution) - and my favorite rainbow char after editing graphicsettings with this error

1) Time from starting eve to the issue occurring It varies. I've seen it happen anywhere from 2-3 hours after the client is started to upwards of 12-15 hours (I often leave the client on while I'm at work).
2) Are your graphics settings low middle or high? High, w/ AA and the Resource Cache disabled.
3) Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTS 240, 1024MB
4) Memory Size from GPU-z Seems to occur starting between 700 and 950MB.
5) Memory Used at the time of the issue occurring Task manager usually puts the client at between 1.7 and 1.9 GB.
I don't think this issue is necessarily tied to the amount of time the client is open.
What seems to trigger it is the number of systems loaded - if I log in, and start moving around right away, the issue can happen within a couple hours. If I log in Monday morning, then go to work and come back, it won't happen until I've been flying around for a few hours. At a guess, it starts happening somewhere between 30 and 50 jumps after login, but as the client doesn't visibly keep track of that information I can't give you a specific number.
Same symptoms as above poster, plus some issues with the map; stars in the starmap lose color (or appear with washed out and incorrect colors) and the solar system map's background loses its blue tint and is replaced with white/grey. |

I would probably echo that it is likely an issue with loading resources. What I've noticed is if I'm doing the same thing over and over... for example running Complexes in Black Rise, then it takes a long time for the bugs to appear.
If on the other hand I'm sat in my High-Sec HQ system doing mission after mission it can appear within a matter of hours. In-fact just going to Jita once or twice and trigger it very quickly.
I know full well that it has very little to do with any memory issues, as my Graphics card has 2GB local, 2GB Shared. With 8GB in total for the System which barely registers above 20% while playing EVE. |

So I encountered this for the first time in a few days, and have the following information: Client logged in around 12:10 EVE time
At the time I first noticed the issue, my video card had approximately 732mb of video memory in use.
At the time I first noticed the issue, the EVE client was using approximately 1,577 MB of RAM.
I had traveled approximately 32 jumps since logging in - I went to work after logging in - and had docked and undocked 4-5 times. These jumps were all within the same region, aside from a quick hop into a wormhole leading to a system in another region and back.
Hopefully this helps some. Vid card info and such are on the previous page. |

Hi guys,
I can confirm this problem.
I've experienced it several times in different computers/totally different configurations:
Computer 1:
- Laptop, Windows 7, 4GB RAM, Graphics NVIDIA 9300M
Computer 2
- Desktop, Fresh installed Windows 7 only with current updates and EVE installed, 16 GB RAM DDR3, Graphics Card NVIDIA 680 GTX 2GB DDR5
I also can confirm that this happens a few hours in in the game, it never happens during the first hour or two (at least to me).
I restart to the game, resolves this issue.
Hope it helps, good luck!
Cheers,
Artur |

yeah, that's the one. i get it within a few hours of running the client. i'm on an alienware m11x r2 laptop which has a nvidia gt 335m. i will try disabling resource caching but am not optomistic. but yes, glad to hear it's being worked on. :) i've tried various combinations of low to medium graphics settings, bloom and hdr are always disabled, experimented with different shader levels. lots of jumps seems to trigger it sometimes, but not always., also the fitting window has a green background and some ship icons are kind of transparent or low res. |

I had all weird issues from FPS dropps starting then the explosions start to mess up like half rings and then other effects messing up like jump bubble, then textures etc.

Fps issues, they come and go, with Vsync i get drops from 60 to 24 ro 30 to 24. Without Vsync i get drops from 120 to 24 and in a pattern shown in the pictures above. Mostly before or after i get the weird texture or effects problem. Only restart client works.

After testifying this problem a few dozen of times I've found out that this problem is always triggered/preceded by a "rat" ship explosion. After this explosion all graphic fx goes berserk (explosion rings, glowing planets and ship, missing textures, white ship, total absence of warp effect).

I strongly believe there is a memory leak in the graphics code. As I'm playing, the more I warp around, the faster the issue happens. I'm getting the same problem as everyone else and could easily generate similar screen shots.
It takes about 3-4 hours and the task manager usually displays between 1.5 and 2GB of ram dedicated to the eve exe.
The only time I've had it fix itself was during one session where my video drivers crashed and restarted (happens once every few months, but usually in other games) without killing the game first. RAM usage was still crazy, though.
I believe you could reproduce this issue in this manner:
- set up 2 grids with a large number of entities - warp back and forth between them - dock in a station or jump between systems regularly
Ideally with a smaller or older video card that has much less vram. |

It does not explain why I get it since i got 2GB Vram and it never reaches 2GB with two clients. I did have at maximum 1.7GB usage for two eve clients but thats it, and the problem started before.

Hello, I believe I tried to tell you guys about this problem months ago, happy your finally doing something about it...
the earliest I noticed these bugs happening was back in "2012.03.16" thats where my first screenshot is from, it basicly started after the patch just before that... if you want to find the core issue, look into what was changed back then...
on a side note... http://i.imgur.com/LRlax.jpg you should look into this also... don't know if it happens recently anymore... but basicly this happened alot to me when warping to and from mobile warp bubbles... what your seeing is the bubble somehow splattering all over my screen, emitting from the center of my ship... |

The bubble effect still explodes onto the screen on TQ atm, for both posses and warp disruption field gens
The white bug also occurred to me on TQ now.
My desktop PC got a RAM upgrade to 8GB now so that's not an issue. |

Ive had something similar happen to me on TQ (im not on sisi yet as im waiting for reactivation ) but for me, it happend to the 'cloak' effect, and i think even the 'internal' side of the POS Tower bubble shield effect. My Prowler looked normal when i was uncloaked, but any time i cloaked it suddenly turned bone-white rather than invisible.
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/7244/bonewhilteprowler.jpg (sorry for the cropped image, but full screenshot had some corp stuff in it XD )
I cleared my cache and reloged and the effect went away. I'll keep an eye out and see if it crops up again in TQ or Sisi (once i can get on the test server again =) |
