I used to shoot at people and incorrectly assume they would die from it. hardcore with friendly fire off is completely stupid though.

Found I spent most of my time furiously chasing after enemy bullets to attack with my chest. If there were mods to turn off airstrikes I don't think I would be quite so frustrated with the game. I just found that setting foot anywhere outdoors meant death by airstrike, if not by claymore or grenade or some guy across the map who kills me with a single shot from a pistol to my shoelace.

I played softcore once, on Domination, switched to hardcore to give it a try, been in love with it since. **** yes, I love my G36c, Supressed, Bomb Squad, UAV Jammer and Dead Silence. Sometimes RDS on it if I'm feeling more aggressive. Same with AKS-74u aswell. Oh, and my most awesome setup? THE LAZ0R SKORP. Skorpion \| ACOG RPG-7/Claymore Sleight of Hand Ex Con/Steady Aim/Dead Silence. This thing absolutely slaughters people, it's great.

If the pub gets some attention im sure we will have no objections to change the format or map rotation to more of a community based popularity thing i dunno. Hardcore is just dumb every weapon kills in 1 hit making other guns useless like the sniper. Hardcore is for hardcore amateurs :) who cant cut it on regular mode :P

It's amusing to see how many people don't pay enough attention to avoid it, including myself. It's particularly useful as I typically use a MP5, so I'm already pretty much in their face. Rush into a camp, die, and if I die close enough, watch them die. :)

However with enough interest we could change it to other settings. I am willing to go ahead and change the settings around to keep things interesting. Another option (if there is enough interest, and maybe some donations as this server and any future ones will be coming out of TFS members pockets) is to get another server (or 2) with various game modes. Anyway hope to see some of you on the server

I absolutely *dominate* with a silenced G3 + dead silence + claymores, but it's the class with grenade launchers and martyrdom that gets all the crying, despite the fact that they have a much better chance of beating me. Even last stand is a far better choice, since the extra kills you might get still count towards your kill streak. -----------

I don't know why you think snipers suck in softcore since we just got done playing with snipers in the server and they certainly do kill in one hit (you just need to aim above the knees FYI)

Softcore, hardcore, medium well core it doesn't matter when a SAW with grip/penetration/damage perks along with a player who knows all the corridor routes is on the map. Endless airstrikes.

Grenade launchers mostly annoy me because I keep dying to them. :P I usually run with a MP5, silenced pistol, claymores, martyrdom, and stopping power. I've actually gotten decent with the MP5 at one time, but it's been a bit since I played a lot, so my reactions have dwindled a bit. I'm not a very good sharpshooter, so my plan is mostly either to run in and shoot them before they can react or run in, shoot, fail and die. A lot of times, I'll camp temporarily when I can shortly expect someone to be around. Place claymores in the pathways and wait for them to come. I don't typically stick around in one place for long, though, unless the enemy's crawling everywhere outside. It's a rarity that I live long enough to accumulate enough kills to get a heli. Sometimes, I'll get airstrikes. More commonly, I barely live long enough for a UAV. It's incredibly fun.

Personally I'm a fan of silenced MP5, silenced pistol, flash + dead silence, UAV jammer and something else I can't remember. Been a while, and I have to get my levels up again due to reformat. Loooved wetwork. I tended to be quite aggressive on it and when combined with good use of flashbangs, the silenced mp5 with stealth perks was lethal.
