A continuation on the House Davion/House Steiner conflict?
Oh yes.
Any idea which mech that foot belongs to. I don't think it's one of the chicken-mechs, but that still leaves a ton of different variants. It's not an Atlas or Thor either. ______________________________________________ -My respect can not be won, only lost. It's given freely and only grudgingly withdrawn. |

Nah. The footjoint is shaped wrong. And it's not a Vulture either (which is my own favorite mech of all time). ______________________________________________ -My respect can not be won, only lost. It's given freely and only grudgingly withdrawn. |

Whatever it is, I hope it's done right. A return to the feel of Mechwarrior 2/MW2: Mercenaries would be incredable.

Nah. The footjoint is shaped wrong. And it's not a Vulture either (which is my own favorite mech of all time).
Catapult is vastly superior to the Vulture, (however the Vulture, admittedly is very awesome, i'm fond of the mid-heavy mechs, as opposed to the super ones such as Atlas or Blood Asp).
Catapult **** yeah!
Second Edit: Nah doesn't look right.

In my head it can, in my head it can, plus they had mother****ing jump jets!
Used to get a group of them and just rain the opponent with missiles in MechCommander 2.

FASA sold the rights to their games. Battletech went to Wizkids, FASA Interactive merged into Microsoft, and a relatively unknown company, Smith and Tinker bought the Mechwarrior video game rights.
As for the Catapult/Vulture debate, the Catapult was a fire support mech, it's main purpose was the LRM racks, but up close, it was weak. The Vulture had large lasers in addition to the LRM racks, making it a real threat. Not to mention that pretty much all Clan tech is superior to Inner Sphere. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

On a serious note. I've only played MW2. Which is better, 3 or 4, if I can get my hands on them?

Mech Warrior 4 was fuggin awesome. You have to get the Mech Paks innersphere/clan they add more Mechs to the game thus more chaos and destruction mwhahahah *evil laugh*
I would cry out in joy if a new mechwarrior is in the making I miss those games..

I never did enjoy 4, couldn't get into it as much as I did 3. I can attest 3 was pretty fun.

Smith and Tinker, it was mentioned in the Op's link, was created by the founder of FASA and original co-creator of Battletech, Jordan Weisman. so it's all good.
and was it just me.. or did MechWarrior 4 have vastly inferior graphics compared to Mech 3? (which even had you leaving mech footprints wherever you went). and obviously nothing can ever beat Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries.

The only game I ever really played in the Mech Warrior universe was the Mech Commander series, I liked that. Also remember having Mechwarrior 4 for a little while but couldn't get into it.
The series always struck me as more fun to imagine than to actually play. The mechs themselves are pretty cool I suppose but the games never really did them justice.

3. It better be First Person and not some bull**** third person Chrome-hounds knock-off.
Needs to be true the original, so I can dust off the old flight-stick and pilot those damn things again.

Mechwarrior 3 imo had better graphics than Mechwarrior 4. But Mechwarrior 4 was fun as hell to play online. I used to play it online for hrs at a time and then one day I signed in to find that I couldn't find any games to join thus resulted in the death of playing it online it was a sad day and I cursed Micro Soft for they ruined an awesometastic game.
