Bad Bobby Ugly Toys	Posted - 2009.07.15 12:22:00 - [1] Hey kids, In the light on the recent Bank failures and juicy scams, I've got to wondering about how often people suffer a total loss to their investment in MD and how much. Personally, I've never lost so much as a single isk to a scam or failure. Compared to the tens of billions that I've lost in PvP over the same time period the whole investment game appears pretty safe from my perspective. Interested to hear the experiences and opinions of others...

I have made that and so much more back from the primary and secondary market in EVE though, I consider the investment strategy I have followed to be overwelmingly successful. However in game scam, only twice, once for 100mil, once for 25mil. However both instances I was in Jita and clicked "Accept" on a contract I knew was a scam. It was like I was drawn to the button anyway, a real brain fart moment. I've actually given away about 500m - 1b ISK to friends and people that I know and have never seen a ISK back from them. All in all if I didn't give away ISK, didn't give away assets in Jita for fun and games, I think I'd be maybe 2b ahead of what I am today. Amarr for Life

That's the sum total of my losses and I've made around 10B in profit from my investments in the secondary market so I'm hardly upset about it.

Other scams: Well IF you count Dbank as a scam i lost 3 bille there.But i don't see it as a scam but a faillure of someone to afraid step up and say: 'I fckd up big time , sorry guys'. So overall loss through investments is 4 billion.Wich makes my % of interest accumulated throughout investments and the loss i had there be in a big negative number .Think i earned like 2 bille from investments so am 1 bille in red BUT i'd still see it as a fun way to play with isk.
