The Eve gate pre-can cleanup.
Seeing hundreds of secure cans all representing at least one person who visited the place and best of all the rings of cans that lined a route to the centre of the system

Getting a meta level 4 Invuln field and selling it for 10mil, then buying my first Thorax ranks up there....

Being two months into a wonderful game, having joined Fountain Alliance, and having moved into the Fountain region.
Setting up shop in MN5N...shooting alliance mates (mostly Jazz Associates) outside the M15 station..."fleet inspections" ...alliance-mandated, regularly-scheduled combat patrols to D4KU and back...chasing and running from Cpt. Pugwash, ZUDD samthedog and the other Rubra guys.
It's all pretty silly by today's standards, but back then it was new and fun.
Another fond memory would be helping build Morsus Mihi from a two-station alliance into the undisputed masters (albeit of a fairly crap) region with stations from M-0 TO PNDN to QFF--- all the way up to the point where we defended against and repelled an invasion of Fortress Tribute by BoB and friends last year. Good times.

I did a level 3 mission called sabotaged.. and there is a faction fleet at the start you have the option to shoot ot not. so i did shoot it all. got a modulated tachyon from it. sold it for 45m isk. I thought i had hit the jackpot. only 3 months old too. even got wuestioned where i got that kinda isk from .
Another thing i remember is multiple mwd's, made my crusader do 25kms. bot did i have fun having curse alliance chase me for 3 hours? lot my pod too in the end.

When i started playing this game, 5k peak online at the same time was a rarity. The devs/PR people had a much more intimate relationship with the player base, they actually at times seemed to listen, they actually seemed to care.
I remember mining my butt off to get a thorax to mine in, then a megathron, then to an apoc, which at that time was the best mining ship in game, barges let alone exhumer's werent even a thought yet. If you had an apoc with the skill's to mount up 8 miner II's and fly ten harvies, you had hit end game as far as a miner went. ( yeah, ten harvies, back then before they created bandwidth and fiddled with mining amounts, you flew ten). Every race had just 2 battleships and 1 BC, and the curent lineup of cruisers. No hac's, no inties, none of that. A CNR was rare, probably rarer than the current number of MOM's in game, you were rich and leet if yah could get your hands on one then.
Warefare wasnt as much as a blobfest that as it is now. Real pirates actually existed, they had honor and integrity too. You paid the ransom, you lived, as promised. There were no POS's, no sovereignty, no meta gaming.
While they were some real buttnuggets here and there in game, for the most part everyone had a lot more respect for each other. Now, it's just a cesspool all around for the most part, no honor, no integrity, no rhyme nor reason, Mostly just zombies running around now eating peoples heads and they themselves dont even know why for the most part, the only goal is to feed an E-Peen with no real goals for what they do in game other than that.
Wish i had a time machine.

Gatebombing with motherships. The hilarious sport of kings (with too much ISK and a love of killing shuttles and newb ships.) I loved the whines these camps generated.

The first time I got killed in PvP, because I convo'd the guy to ask him what I could've done better and we wound up having a nice 30-minute+ convo in which he gave me several pointers... and I won my next pvp encounter :)

Some of my fondest memories...
1. Finding that people thought my songs were funny and starting an album...
2. Winning Eve Idol...
3. Certain ridiculously long and fun threads in the forums.
4. Winning a 5,000,000,000 ISK heads up poker game in Eve Poker.
5. Starting Eve Poker.
6. The first time my tank could handle running the hardest L4 mission solo while aggroing the whole room.

My fondest memories...
Those would have to be the days when an individual pilot still mattered. How everyone feared TankCEO's Raven, or how relatively fewer people feared my Zealot. Nowadays, there are no heroes, no ships to truly fear.

This, I remember belt pirating with my friend. All we flew was two Rifters and we would actually find and kill people ratting and mining in low sec.

I remember when I first got caught in a low-sec gatecamp. I was promptly escorted to my new clone and out around 60mil (ship and +3s), but that was a wake-up call to be more careful.
And....more recently, running through low-sec camps with my blockade runner. Fun times.

Static low sec comp****s. Great isk if they left you alone and great pvp when they didn't. I understand why the 0.0 plexs got cut out but ffs the low sec were like 50 mil or so in bounties and they never dropped anything good. I loved taking my curse into the angel plexs and tanking the whole room as I ratted or blowing up some nub who never moved away from the warp in point and was under full aggro as the 5/10 and 6/10 had some mean and nasty initial spawns.

I had just joined the Stain Empire and was moving my stuff there. This of course meant going through HED-GP. After asking a billion times in Alliance chat if it was clear I jumped in, only to be pounced on by about six meanies. My Megathron was doomed, except that every low slot was filled with a warp core stab and I got out with about 50% structure.

Good old noob times.
- First hours of staring at ships going "oooh" and "aaah".
- Getting my first industrial on the 2nd day I played eve. Putting a gun on it and going to shoot rats on some highsec gate :)
- Finding my corp, moving to 0.4 for a corp mining op and getting blown to pieces on the first ratspawn :p
- Mining for my first cruiser and battleship
Things are too easy these days. You can get enough isk for a cruiser with just a slither of luck. I spend days mining veldspar for that in a t1 frig.
