It is a start, i won't thank you for returning the old icons, as it was clearly a mistake putting in new ones. But with these rollback i hope and pray it is the start of ccp focusing more on eve.
I look forward to see ship spinning and a cargohold window that will stay open again

Thank you for returning the working functionality and graphical assets to the game. Please do not remove working and usable "stuff" again without serious consideration. And if it was a time / money problem, please take the extra time needed to, at the very least, keep usability at a constant level. Those turret renderings were a visual abomination and should have never been given the go-ahead.
Also, thank you for recognizing that the act of docking and using CQ can potentially result in a significant ramping up of system resource utilization. It is one thing to throw every local resource available at the client when major in-space activities are taking place and another when a pilot goes to dock and afk for a bit. Seriously devblogs like this actually make the consumer base happy, only thing missing...

Still hoping we get more devblogs related to other things coming, the rebalance, the supercaps, the nullsec changes, the new gun effects, the engine trails, nebulas... so many things i wish we had info on.....
Its a great update though and all 3 things are great that are coming, though honestly the icons and the "leave ship" button are sorta not new features but things taht should have been done hehe... Hope still that ship spinning got a little bit of spit polish in this new version that would be nice :)

O/ I still don't think it was- they were just following the standard established with ship and drone icons, since turrets actually look unique, finally. They just needed to implement it with a background or backdrop like the ship and drone icons (if possible, it could be conditional based on where it was used, so it would be noticeable by the target indicators for those who can't see them, but wouldn't clutter up the fitting window or such). That was the biggest mistake, not using new icons, to me. |

I hope i'll be able to play eve again ... since Incarna eve is crashing all the time. I know CCP claims that the Intel Driver is the root cause, but from a player perspektive it's hard to believe when things worked out well before Incarna.

However, my point was they never bothered to create a 'new' effect (until now, it seems), they just used the new gate-jump effect for all jumps, regardless of capital cyno or stargate use. |

I would much prefer if the fitting window effectively replaced the "ship boarded" background. Much more functional as the fitting window is usually a PITA to have open and is always in the way. Why not drag mods to the ship in the background to fit? I don't think anyone who wants to spin a ship actually cares if its visually in a hangar or not. |

So really we are only getting 1 new thing and it's not even that big a thing. We ever going to hear something about 0.0 changes or super cap changes or anything in space game changing changes?!?!
More space stuff, less station stuff. |

Question for CCP: Right now when we are on the balcony we see a hangar space that looks quite different from the hanger spaces we were seeing pre-incarna. With the coming return of ship spinning, which hangar space will the ship-only view be in, the new one or the old one? If its the old one, then that is rather immersion breaking. Somehow the hanger magically changes in the blink of the eye when I leave the ship. CCP employees should never proclaim a feature to be awesome. Only subscribers should. |

If only you had bothered actually reading the bazillion threads posted during CQ testing, you would not have been surprised by the demand for a low-intensity hangar view option (aka. ship spinning) and the pure logic that a CQ toggle functionality ..
