that's not reduction, is it?
Yes, that's a reduction. It is 1/5th the size now.
Originally by: Bel Amar What does this line mean?
After you have probed down a cosmic signature to 100% strength, it is now possible to warp to it with less than 3 probes without throwing an exception.
To probe it down, you need 4 probes. If you've only got 3, you can't get a warpable hit, so how does this exception ever arise in the first place?
Once, the site has been probed down, if you pull a probe back into your bay you might only have a couple (or none) still in space. I usually just bookmark it right away and then just warp to my bookmark at whatever range.

Works a lot better if you read the full patch notes for that out-of-context quote:
Faction and Navy ships have been revamped. For details see CCP YtterbiumĘs blog Adding flavour to your faction meal .Ships that are in space, in a station (either active or in the hanger), or stored in a Ship Maintenance Array structure will have their modules moved to their cargo hold. Ships that are stored in a Ship Maintenance Bay aboard a carrier will have their modules removed to the carrier's cargo hold.
I did read full patch notes, notice that my quote has more included in it than the "out of context quote". I didn't think the first part "faction and navy ships..." were important for understanding the meaning.
Edit: ok, I think I finally found the reference, this is just talking about moving items to your cargo hold during deployment of the patch, and not during regular gameplay? The devblog doesn't explicitly state anything, just that it's recommended you dock incase stuff is moved to your cargohold. I now see this, but it isn't like it's an obvious point that was made.
Is it so hard to say that its going going to occur once during deployment instead of just quoting stuff back to people?
The left out parts are the most important. They're saying that those faction ships that are being revamped are going to have their fittings stripped and placed in their cargoholds. They put the part about being in a carrier's ship MX bay so that people wouldn't try to cheat and keep their fits on anyway. good game

I wish CCP nothing but a smooth deployment on the first. Thanks for working so hard to change the game for the better, because at the end of the day, its still just a game.

So why are we nerfing the Nag back to worse than it was last patch when it was finally made to be on par with the other dreadnoughts?
Why don't you guys listen to feedback?
Also on the other issue of moving mods to cargoholds you can't do that as far as I know since you can't place a ship with anything in cargo other than ammo into a ship hangar array, if this results in the ejection of ships your gonna have a lot of mad folks.
Thoughts expressed are mine and mine alone. They do not necessarily reflect my alliances thoughts.

What was wrong with BCU's before?
Other than that question, I have to say these patch notes are LONG AS HELL and I'm extremely excited to see the outcome of the expansion.

I want to try and give some feedback here to queries. Please note that I may not have all the answers in which case I will try and get the relevant teams to provide details whenever possible.
Quote: There's no mention of the 5 minute cycle time for Triage modules, was this removed?
I did not hear anything about this being removed. I will check with the relevant team in case it was omitted in error.
Quote: You can now pull PLEX items out of the game and into the redeeming system so that these items can be used on the Eve-Online website.
What this change essentially does is allow people who have had accounts expire to use a PLEX from the website to reactivate the account. Previously they would need to submit a petition and request a grace period to make the account active again. This allows people to have a much faster turnaround time and to get their accounts up and running asap.
Quote: So where is the Assault Frig Revamp. That was the **** and made them useful
Although I am not 100% sure on this I believe that the Assault Frigate revamp was put on hold until a future patch or expansion. I will double check with the relevant team and try to update this as I know more.
Some people were confused about a patch note concerning module removal from certain ships so the patch note has been amended as follows:
"Faction and Navy ships have been revamped. For details see CCP YtterbiumĘs blog Adding flavour to your faction meal. Please note that only ships who have received a change to slot layout; be they ships that are in space, in a station (either active or in the hanger), or stored in a Ship Maintenance Array structure will have their modules moved to their cargo hold. Ships that are stored in a Ship Maintenance Bay aboard a carrier will have their modules removed to the carrier's cargo hold."

So why the bonus change on the nag. It seems like you're going backwards. Minmatar now need to train twice as many weapon skills as anybody else in a dread and despite that will have undoubtedly the worst dread.

The Phoenix has a new bonus: 5% bonus to kinetic missile damage per level of Caldari Dreadnought Skill.
Uh, what? It has that now, I believe?
Quote:
The Naglfar has a new bonus: 5% bonus to Missile Launcher rate of fire per level of Minmatar Dreadnought Skill. In exchange, the Naglfar has lost its bonus to projectile rate of fire.
Does this mean that Naglfar keeps +7.5/level projectile damage bonus, or is that downgraded to 5%/level, too?
Quote:
Tracking computers have had their accuracy falloff bonus doubled, and the stacking penalty has been scaled up to account for this change.
2*0%=0%? "Scaled up" stacking penalty? And no word on tracking enhancers. Tracking links are at least mentioned elsewhere...
Lots, and I mean _lots_ of missing information or major changes from SiSi. I doubt the below is a comprehensive list, but those came to mind immediately:
- Triage duration. - Titan HP change. - Projectile ammunition change. - Typhoon turret/launcher change. - Typhoon and Tempest shield/armor hp switch. - Moros drone bonus change. - Capital weapons changes aren't even mentioned, except for the addition of the capital cruise launcher. - Artillery alpha changes.
I have to say that this is a pretty poor showing from the teams in question. -- Gradient forum |

I have another question semi related to the patch note concerning courier contract limits. Previously you were not allowed to create a courier for more than 120,000m3, while as a freighter pilot I applaud this change I believe this is a design flaw that is opened.
Currently I cannot place a rigged battleship in my cargohold as it is still assembled. However, if I use an alt to create a courier for this rigged battleship I can put this in my cargohold and transport it. Up until now this has only been a concern with smaller ships (120,000m3 or smaller), but with the new patch this won't be an issue anymore, ships of any size can be contracted.
So why still have the limitation of not allowing rigged (assembled) ships to be placed in the cargohold? As I pointed out in a different thread earlier, either moving ships should be allowed, in which case it needs a fix (hint hint, not to late to sneak one in). Or you do not want us moving rigged ships, in which case courier contracts should get fixed to not allow them before the patch.

Could someone (preferably a dev) clarify whether the Moros will stay as is, or whether it will still get neutered (Drone bonus reduced/only applicable in siege mode or whatever) and the info about it is just not in the patch notes? My finger has been hovering over that self destruct button way too long already...
Also would be nice if we could get some solid details about all the projectile changes... And if you are reading this, you have arrived at the signature without noticing...

Thankyou for the patch notes ccp. I am still a tiny bit concerned about dominion but I look forwards to it all the same. Especially the new planet graphics
this made me very happy! -> "# The jukebox now uses MP3 format for its music. Additionally, custom playlists may be specified. # MP3 based Jukebox now supports custom play-lists in .m3u / .pls / .ram / .pink format. # Jukebox supports folder loading."
Also it seems a few things are missing from the patch notes...... can you clarify?
thanks again.

"Ballistic Control Units now correctly apply their bonuses to missile damage." Can this be explained? Are missiles now doing less damage or more damage? Was this a problem on all setups that used that module?
This whole using dev blogs in patch notes and on feature pages is a very bad idea. It looks very unprofessional, provides outdated info and makes it harder to get the info you want.

WTF?
- Covert Ops ships have had their attributes fixed so that they now correctly reduce the flight time of survey probes by 10% per covert ops skill level. The description of Covert Ops ships has also been updated to reflect this.
I beg your effing pardon?
If I read this correctly it means covert-ops frigates have lost their SCAN STRENGTH bonus and instead have a reduced flight time for survey (i.e. MOON) probes.
We may as well use cyno-recons and stealth bombers for our probing now - which suits because they carry a lot more firepower.
If this is right, and they've lost their scan strength bonus, then you've effectively destroyed their "ecological niche".
Bad idea guys, bad idea.

Hey Beldurnik - As far as im aware, you can have the game translated into spanish....
To do this, just log in as you would normally , then go to the options screen once your 'actually in-game' then go accross to the tab at the top that says 'languages' then change to spanish.
If I got you wrong mate and you meant you wanted the patch notes in spanish, then sorry lol =] Hope this helped.

^ This.
It's fairly important to know seeing as previous statistics have suggested caldari mission running characters make up a good 40% of those ingame, and thus this would be a fairly widespread nerf/buff depending on which way it goes.

No change what-so-ever in damage, it's just that checking the missile (ammo) information on a ship with a BCS fitted now shows the correct increase in damage for the missile rather than just the unmodified info.

Try grinding from -8.0 to 0.0 using only L1 agents There are still consequences, just not permanent ones!
TBH, this change (or something like it) was long overdue. For game universe immersion reasons it might make sense to have permanent penalties like the standings lockout today, but from a RL game perspective it doesn't make sense to lock players out of content. Especially since most players ruin their pirate (and other) standings early before they really have a chance of finding out they really didn't want to do that!

Patch note are looking. Good. Just one question. Why are you changing skill requirements? IMO (not necessary correct but what's life without opinions?!) this is reducing the pay for the reward on most cases therefore reducing players commitment.
