Sure, many people don't need or won't use some features but I think a lot of the resilience about using something new is just because people tend to like what they are used to just or don't like change. Vista got a bad rap from the get go (and deserved it) but it was fine after SP1. Plus, with 64-bit, it means I get to use all 4GB of RAM. I never did bother with XP 64-bit because driver support was never there. I'm still using Windows XP at work and there are countless things I miss during the day that Windows 7 offers. Anyways, no, I don't work for Microsoft. I just thought I would plug/defend Windows 7 a bit. For those XP die hards, you might be pleasantly surprised with Windows 7 if you gave it a good shake. Keep up the great work CCP! Can't wait to play EVE tonight. i totally agree... windows 7 really surprized me

That is a reduction. ;)

I wasn't expecting much but god, was I surprised. Awesome one and a half hours. And to those who are doubting a game made with graphics engines and voiced by English people (Rule Britannia)... just try it. You will be surprised. Patch download in progress and my housemates are cooking up an Eid feast... nomnomnom.

CCP are allowign everyone to download whilst they are still working on the migration to the new version. Just cos the patch is downloading and you can't log on don't take this as a bad thing, it's actually a good thing that you been able to download the patch before the switch is flipped :)
