No moros change? Good news :)
Why don't ship changes include nothing about the moros nor the titans? o.O
And is the 0.01 volume of carbides mean that it's complex reaction products? That'll be just marvelous if yes.

Originally by: Welktickler Patch note are looking. Good. Just one question. Why are you changing skill requirements? IMO (not necessary correct but what's life without opinions?!) this is reducing the pay for the reward on most cases therefore reducing players commitment.
The requirements were unreasonable for those skills. More people should try out exploration content, instead of grinding missions all the time. The skill requirements were an obvious barrier to this. They are now properly balanced, and there is still benefits from training them to the highest level. Good thing imo.

Quote: You can now pull PLEX items out of the game and into the redeeming system so that these items can be used on the Eve-Online website.
What this change essentially does is allow people who have had accounts expire to use a PLEX from the website to reactivate the account. Previously they would need to submit a petition and request a grace period to make the account active again. This allows people to have a much faster turnaround time and to get their accounts up and running asap. Quote:
thank u for answering this ive had a thread in test server feed back for weeks asking the same i thought i`d never get an answer.
any chance u will be extending it to pay for portrait swaps and stuff from the eve store ?

the infrastructure hubs are 750 000 m3... HOW is a small alliance supposed to get that to it's destination... a small alliance won't have the manpower or logistics needed that the large already established ones do. If the size was reduced so that it could fit in an orca that would make it MUCH better for someone like us (it can SS and cloak when hostiles get to close). Because a freighter moving through 0.0 WILL be hunted by pretty much everyone and face it.. none of the current holders are gonna want anyone else into 0.0 with exception of people joining their blob.. sorry alliance, the most usual response you get when approaching any of the current holders is ''go back to grinding missions and ganking noobs, nub''... i highly doubt that will change.. err off topic...
point is: how is a smaller entity which wants to(and which you (ccp) wants into 0.0) supposed to be able to do a freighter run and live, especially if it is deeper into 0.0! Question We want to, but how we are going to get the freighter in (and pref out) alive is to me a mystery... even with nap's/blue's.
it's not like we can just get a titan to bridge it in...
also, would just like to add that i think the current high end anomalies are pretty decent, especially as i very regulary get faction drops from them Very Happy (the problem is finding enough of them which with the upgrade will no longer be an issue)
Did this ever get addressed... not been able to log into sisi for a while Being in a small 0.0 corp we have the same issue
** i can't see anything about the sizes of the hubs being changed...

Still no answer on what happens to the ihub and flag hitpoints when they become untargettable due to destroyed stops and when ihubs and stations get their rf-timers back (do they need to be repped to full hp or what)?
Also limiting overview tabs to 5 is fail fail fail.....

no one said anything about making 0.0 space more friendly or accepting to smaller corps.. will the big alliances hold less space? yes.. but if you try to live near them you just get to be the nice small soft squishy target thats easily accessable.. One of the things we complained about was this: still no reason for small corps to leave high sec to try 0.0.. its just death and lost isk..
otherwise patch notes look great! projectile RAGE is nice :)

Quote: ò You can now report players as 'ISK Spammer' from the right click menu of a character in chat. This will remove all their messages from that channel and report it to the GM's
This is very interesting, and very welcome, but the opportunities for abuse should be clear. Could you tell us what the penalties for such abuse would be? I would also suggest that this option be disabled on trial account so that noone can make a trial account and just randomly report everyone to GM's
Also, for clarification, would that mute be local or global, i.e. am I just shutting them up so that I can't see them, or are their messages removed for everyone?
Quote: Science and Industry ò The Tech 2 ship component composition has been changed. Full details can be found in the blog by CCP Chronotis The streams must flow. ò Manufacture time for some construction components (armor plates and microprocessors) has been reduced. ò The volume of carbides (advanced materials) has been reduced to 0.01m3 from 0.05m3. ò The quantity of Sylramic Fibers required to produce the armor plate construction material has been reduced to 10 per unit.
These changes are also very welcome, we've had something like 7 weeks now to play around with the numbers as they have been on Sisi, which for instance lead to the adjustment in Sylramic fibers req in armor plates to avoid unballance between racial construction costs. There has been a lot of discussion on how much this widens the moongoo bottleneck for T2 production - and where a new bottleneck might lie.
Could you tell us if there have been further changes since the previously revealed 'reduced reactor/thruster requirements in exchange for increased microprocessor/armor-plate requirements' situation that we have been able to test on Sisi, which may not have made it to the patch notes yet?

I hope that people making bad reports far in excess of the number of good reports are also getting themselves in line for a ban. Abusing the GM's when they don't deserve it (and sometimes they do) is not a nice thing! --Altaree

Yay for dumbing down Eve even more. Talk about doing things in which without caring about any consequences - because there are no consequences any more.
Try grinding from -8.0 to 0.0 using only L1 agents There are still consequences, just not permanent ones!
More like train Diplomacy 5 so that you can get from -9 faction down to below -5 faction so that you can enter that factions system without being KOS. Once better than -5 you'll have to grind up to -1.99 using lvl 1's so that you can start to pull lvl 2 missions. Thats gonna take a while
Thats gonna be rough but a nice change for those willing to do the grind.

CCP are looking to make certain careers easier for newer players to get started in. Its fair if you think about it but it takes from everyone who had to go the longer route. |

Quote: It is now possible to view the content of containers and ships remotely. Note that you can not view the contents of password locked containers.
Now that's very useful.
Quote: Drones would sometimes refuse to attack certain structures; they've been given a stern talking-to and will now obey orders with more diligence.
That's good to hear. I don't suppose it will apply to ships too, will it? You know, when you tell your drones to kill the ship that's warp scrambling you and half of them take off for a cruiser 60km away instead so you die...

Does this only apply to silos, or all starbase structures like corp hangar arrays? Since it should not even be possible to store bookmarks in silos today. If it applies to all structures, what are we gonna use for labeling the hangar tabs with instead? Small cargo containers? I think at least most WH corps use bookmarks for labeling the tabs.
I hope we will get the ability to name the tabs individually for each hangar in a future patch.

Originally by: Windryder Edited by: Windryder on 29/11/2009 09:11:09 "So why still have the limitation of not allowing rigged (assembled) ships to be placed in the cargohold?"
I think you'll find its a fundamental difference in how packaged objects and assembled ships are handled on the server. The courier contract is effectively "transmuting" one object into another.
So then hauling rigged ships should be allowed in which case the Devs have a bug regarding placing assembled ships in a cargohold. They "fixed" this by not allowing them to be placed there.
A better "fix" would be allowing us to shrink wrap our own toys, the best "fix" would be to allow us to simply place assembled ships in our cargohold.
Other comments: Gnulpie, regarding access to lv 1 agents. It's not dumbing down Eve. There should be an are consequences to everything you do in Eve, as one person pointed out, grinding from -8 back to 0 standings with level 1 agents will HURT. This was, as far as I've ever seen, the ONLY place in Eve where you could make a mistake and absolutely nothing and no amount of work could fix it. It is also balanced by the change to declining FW missions gives you a standings hit again. Much needed fix, go CCP!
As for abuse of the ISK spammer petition button. I recall someone saying that in SISI when you clicked the report button a warning would pop up telling you that abuse would get you in trouble. I don't know what the warning said or what exactly would happen if you abused the system, but the warning your talking about should be there and when we log on in a few days we'll find out. I'm sure CCP has considered the potential for abuse here.

Mostly im somewhat okay about the proj changes in that thread EXCEPT for nerfing the long range ammo... come on, they need BETTER not worse ammo....
