Get used to it, we have to deal with this **** every 6 months. Not to mention the 20 patches to follow to fix all the ****ups they create with this expansion. Than you have to deal with all the *****boys suckin CCP ass! Screw your expansion, I want to play the game I payed for.

But it does fill this forum with unnecessary negativity, and forces everyone else to sift through irrelevant posts (like this one) to find the information they're looking for.
I'm sure wee all agree, so no need to respond to this - let's just relax and enjoy the anticipation - and maybe focus on Dominion.
By the way - patch is downloadable, now.
Just passin some time doc...

No, sorry you're wrong. .05 is a larger amount or number than .01 no matter how you look at it. It went from 1/100th cubic meter to 5/100 cubic meter. So, it is 5 times bigger.
Maybe they meant to state it went from 0.01 to 0.005 which would halve the size.

that's not reduction, is it?
Yes, that's a reduction. It is 1/5th the size now.

After you have probed down a cosmic signature to 100% strength, it is now possible to warp to it with less than 3 probes without throwing an exception.
To probe it down, you need 4 probes. If you've only got 3, you can't get a warpable hit, so how does this exception ever arise in the first place?
Once, the site has been probed down, if you pull a probe back into your bay you might only have a couple (or none) still in space. I usually just bookmark it right away and then just warp to my bookmark at whatever range.

Works a lot better if you read the full patch notes for that out-of-context quote:
Faction and Navy ships have been revamped. For details see CCP YtterbiumĘs blog Adding flavour to your faction meal .Ships that are in space, in a station (either active or in the hanger), or stored in a Ship Maintenance Array structure will have their modules moved to their cargo hold. Ships that are stored in a Ship Maintenance Bay aboard a carrier will have their modules removed to the carrier's cargo hold.
I did read full patch notes, notice that my quote has more included in it than the "out of context quote". I didn't think the first part "faction and navy ships..." were important for understanding the meaning.
Edit: ok, I think I finally found the reference, this is just talking about moving items to your cargo hold during deployment of the patch, and not during regular gameplay? The devblog doesn't explicitly state anything, just that it's recommended you dock incase stuff is moved to your cargohold. I now see this, but it isn't like it's an obvious point that was made.
Is it so hard to say that its going going to occur once during deployment instead of just quoting stuff back to people?
The left out parts are the most important. They're saying that those faction ships that are being revamped are going to have their fittings stripped and placed in their cargoholds. They put the part about being in a carrier's ship MX bay so that people wouldn't try to cheat and keep their fits on anyway.

I've extensively multi cliented eve on XP, Vista and now Windows 7. They have all worked well. Or is it just that I build good machines with non shoddy hardware, and don't update to an OS till I know it is 100% stable on said machine?
I would have to agree. I run two win7 pro machines and on the main I generally have 3 clients running on two monitors with max resolution and max graphics with no lag. If I play all day I will start having client bugs but all I have to do is restart the clients, not the whole PC. Turning off caching on all the clients helps keep it down to a minimum. The machines aren't anything special either. One has a dual core 2.6GHz intel with 4GB of RAM and a 8800GTS and the other has a 2.6GHz AMD X2 with 6GB and a GTS250.
If I run 4 clients on the main with graphics maxed then I get some chop. Part of the reason I love Eve. I don't have to drop a couple hundred dollars every expansion just to keep up.

I think the solution is to download a patch for this problem.
This is a joke, right? You can't possibly be that daft, can you?
I think this is far superior than the spammers who surprisingly keep friggin asking "Is it up yet" (Even in posts to follow the one I'm quoting and am sure to follow this) Wow, can't find the seconds to think for yourself. Oh, here's a news flash, in the time it took you to LOG IN to the forum, find the thread, hit reply, type and press submit, you could had already found for yourself.
Thinking: try it out sometime.
Really! My office is 25 miles from my house. It take far less time to log in forums and find out whats going on than to get in my car and drive 25, boot up my PC and wait for eve to load! Only good thing about patch is logging into game is pretty fast the 1st couple weeks than its back to 5 minute logins

To answer an old question, I'd guess that the Phoenix gets the 5% / level to kinetic missile damage so it applies to capital cruise missiles as well as torpedoes.

My 3some ghz .45 core 2 duo with "only" 2 gigs of ram 3 clients with no chop. I run XP.
I fix peoples computers for them all day, and I know my stuff. Windows Vista and 7 offer nothing I want and use tons more ram.

I, like an idiot, downloaded Build 101786 to 117738 and installed. Its just coming up imcompatible protocal no auto patch, downloaded this, http://www.eveonline.com/patches/patches.asp?s=&system=win&edition=&n=117806, but it wont install in my eve folder because it was expecting a different client version so i assume i download the 117806file that isnt the latest one?

Servers are up but not accepting connections yet--there are 17 users logged in, probably devs/GMs making sure things are working properly.
