Had it happen to me when I bought a 60d GTC yesterday.
30 mins after buying the GTC and paying for it through the account management page I was disconnected and couldn't log back in because my account had 'expired'.
First I filed a petition under EVE TIME CODE ISSUES (or whatever useless category similar). After waiting 24h I logged in my other account and filed a STUCK petition linking the thread where I bought the GTC as well as the thread in the Known Issues forum.
After 3 hours a CSR corrected the 'Stuck" petition but I've somehow lost 7d on my account. I then deleted my as yet unlooked at time code problem petition.

Same thing just happened to a corp mate
Bought Timecard, 30 mins latter Bam Disconnected and i still had 8 days left on a plex...

Its true, doesn't seem to be affecting everyone though. For me it was after cancelling a card subscription for my main account & accepting a 60 day code from here, not sure if the script is the same for everyone.

its buggy as hell. This account is fine , but main account expired within an hour(was paying attention to time) after adding the gtc.
guess its random. My mains paid thru March but its expired

Dont stress it too much. You know CCP will fix this and everyone will get there time codes beacuse they pretty much keep a log on everything. I had a few costumers myself saying they never got there time codes but on my side it shows as sold, and when i try to resend it, it says Error: Time code does not exist. *which pretty much means it been activated.
All in all, they come back later on and say it went threw, im assuming there is just a big delay some people get hit with. It can range from time you bought the code up to a week id say.
Dont get all panicky or worried, i know it must be frustrating for those who cant log in to train skills, but you will get you time code and everything will be ok. Its prolly just another glitch which is expected with "expansion packs and updates".
Just give it time, im sure they are working on this problem already, and im sure it will be fixed in no time.
As for now you guys posting this up in a time code sales forum is not cool, beacuse not everyone is getting affected. No need to make my sales more difficult to sell then they already are. Post this topic where it counts, like maybe the Help subject. Not to be mean but i can understand why you are posting this here and getting upset, but don't ruin others people game play. $$$ bLinG $$$ |

I know of 2 people now who have TC there accounts (60 days)to have them turned off. Dosnt seem to effect plex ?

3rd day of this shi*e now, earlier today I tried creating a another stuck petition (to go with the one that a gm had already moved to payment issues bucket without commenting on) taking Erimisha's advice from earlier in this thread about linking the thread for the purchase of the code & the problem itself.
Got a form response from GM Nicky within about 5 or 10 mins but the petition was moved to Timecode Issues so not hopeful of it being sorted quick.
Basically this is ******* apalling, i'm up to a total of 3 peitions now, 2 with this character & one using the tool on this site. Plus i've sent a very polite email to the support inbox.
Getting pretty jaded with the whole thing now.

I sold 14 yesterday and all were fine. This seems to be limited to a group of GTC's. In any case, I hope those of you affected get help soon. It's amazing how fast the GM's get on you if you do something wrong yet they are so slow to respond to their own issues. Too bad.

Its a real problem that has been happening there is a fault CCP need to fix.. For some people their only account is disabled due to this bug, And i bet you would be crying if it was you Sable. So until then the more people that realise they can potentionally disable their eve charecter the better.

yes its a real problem, I said as much. But as that thread says the issue is being dealt with through the petition system one case at a time. So the very idea that "CCP have not acknowledged the problem" is wrong at best. As for "no response", again, the petitions being dealt with are a response to the people effected. So whats your point again?
In balance, I think its only fair an proper that your warning was posted Four Head, however, the cries of the sky is falling in, CCP is doing nothing etc etc. are misplaced and just a tad irritating. --------------------------------------------

We are now into day 5 of not being able to play on accounts that purchaced a GTC for ISK and still no response from CCP.
I did follow the advice of a couple of you today though and resubmitted my petiton on a account which was still active. Hopefully that will speed it up as petitions that are submitted with out being logged into the forums or in game have the lowest priority.
Hopefully that will speed it up.
In the mean time don't even think about buying a GTC on the forums. You are running a very high risk of not being able to play for a week or more. PLEXes purchased in game are fine though.

that is pure bull**** at a mediocre level. Acknowledging the problem comes from actually acknowledging the problem. Not from having a support ticket system available for customer use.
CCP just acknowledging THAT their is a problem would fix most of this. but people buying gtc's atm should know the risk. for me its been 50/50 this account is fine, while the other is unplayable.

Agreed.... the least thing they could do is post a notice saying they're working on resolving it..... It's gametime bought with real money (someone did buy the GTC at some point) which is running out.

what this thread is about is totally different. For some random new weird bug(feature) that i cant figure out. This and my mains payment detales are identical. we bought gtc's from the same person and applied them withing mins of one another, he shows expired and im here posting away for giggles. more and more people are getting this. so something is up somewhere in the system

For some reason EVEMon updated the skill training for my main account so I dont know if they account was reactivated for a short time or if they activated ghost training or something, cos Im still locked out :(

Calm down guys, it was acknowledged already on the 12th that this was a known issue.
I'm sure they are trying to get through to each petition, but with the massive amounts they get and the lack of personnel in their ticketing department (also with the holidays coming up). It is bound to be a slow process.
Took my almost a full week to get my account unbanned for security issues.
Just be patient and wait, it is not like CCP will let it go broken for extended periods of time.

Bumping the topic on principle, but also wanting to point out that expecting the issue to be instantly fixed because you want it to be is irrational.
For all you know they could have put a full team of devs or whatever are used to work the system, on it the instant it was detected. But if it takes them an hour/day/week/month/whatever to track down and fix the problem does not mean they're not working on it or whatever other crazyness you may think is going on. Sometimes, just sometimes, things take a long time to track down and fix because they're really complicated and you have to take extra care cos RL money is involved.
Lets face facts. CCP is a business, and if this issue isn't fixed people will stop buying GTCs (and I don't mean the people buying them with isk), which means CCP will lose money. Therefore, they have all the insentive in the world to get this fixed as quickly as possible and saying otherwise is madness and childish trolling.

They will do something im sure. But i know people are losing time and worst of all knowing how we are all eve addicts the holiday season is approaching. I know one of the guys was saying he has been playing eve and paying/playing via numerous methods normal card and tcs since 2003. You would think ccp would at least email a reply.. How many people on this thread have actually had their accounts re-started??

from what i understand. adding another gtc wont help. just file a petition under Billing and account and then in eve time codes.

It is also happening if you bought the GTC weeks ago and you switching from credit card payment which is expiring after the Dominion update. It just won't switch, although you see you bought the GTC in payment history.

True, but making an official notice about the problems at minimum should be expected. If there is a glitch in the game open for exploitation within hours of them discovering it you got devs hopping out of the trolley ranting about it, yet this bug which has gone on for quite some time now apparently(cant say for how long as just came to buy one and saw this thread) has had no official word that i can find.
Yes, they are a business, i used to buy time with a recurring card subscription until exchange rates pushed the price too high so started purchasing with ingame currency then that hit an alltime high of 700mil so i personally stopped playing.
I wont be buying a gtc even at these low prices until at best there is an official word from ccp that the problem is being resolved, i have 8 days left on my account. Will i go buy with my cc instead? NO, if this kind of customer service comes with gtc's what guarantee do i have if a problem arised with my cc payment? alot of business' forget the knock on effect of poor consumer services in one area will often reflect poorly in another.

My account was finally fixed after roughly 22 hours...
Two rather nice storyline offers expired and I was completely pushed out of the markets.
I'm estimating the damage at 150 million isk.
CCP really needs to be spending more of the EVE subscription money on hiring people to prevent and fix this kind of thing and less on side projects like COSMOS and DUST.

Well this happened to me about a week ago on 3 of my 4 accounts and i figured it would be fixed by now. Took them 17 hours to get my other 3 accounts back up. Reactivated a 4th account today with a 60 DAY GTC and BAM it happened yet again. Going on 4 hours with no response or comment on my petition. Submitted it as Billing Issue....Eve Time Codes. The funny thing is that is was an account that they offered me 5 free days to reactivate so I did.....and decided to keep it going so i got a GTC. So technically i should still have 4 free days but suspended atm b/c i bought the 60 day GTC.

i had a problem with one of my alts & it took them 2 weeks to fix it but the account is up and running now so i think they are fixing them as fast as they can. i suggest if you buy a game time code copy the # down or the transaction # when you buy one here in this forum so you have a refrence to go off of this will all be fixed soon i think

Curious, were you reimbursed for the time spent off while your account was suspended (meaning, did you get the 3 days or whatever it took waiting on your petition added to the time remaining)? I would hope they extend your gameplay accordingly and not make you eat the time in suspension which you legitimately paid for.

i had that propblem a few days ago where i added time to my acct and than i got booted so i sent in a report to cant log in and ccp has worked fast to get the propblem fixed for me so you might want to try the cant log in petetion. as it worked for me and they responded fairley fast. gl all and happy hollidays

I have the same problem. Just bought a 60 days GTC for my main (suspended) account and it didn't activate. All went well, I got the confirmation message after I completed the web-site purchasing steps, the transaction is listed in Subscription Details (all other transactions are missing tho, except for this one and the 1st 14d trial one). Filled a petition about 9 hours ago but still no answer. I think i remember now why I left eve in the first place.

CCP is not known for being very fast about anything other then hitting people with the ban stick and then making them wait a month and saying "Sorry. My bad"
Anyway, they still get your money, don't have to service the account, it reduces the load on the servers and it would cost them money to disable the service. Don't look for a fix anytime soon. |

This is a paid service. The GTC i applied to my account has a real-world monetary value. I'm not asking for some measly ship reimbursement because the net hiccup'd and I lost my new shiny toy, I'm asking for a service provider to do just that, provide a service. I don't think asking them to be timely about it also is asking too much.
Also, as of right now, I've still had ZERO response from GMs for my 3 petitions I've filed on this. I'm going to bed, if by the time i wake up something hasn't happened, I'm going to petition once an hour till someone either fixes it, or I get banned. At least then I'll know someone has bothered to at least notice the petitions.
This is not a broken game mechanic that makes some people upset. This is a SERVICE STOPPING billing issue that should be at the extreme top of their list of priorities.

Applied a gtc earlier and it all looked good and showed the correct new expiry date and that it was active again.
Can't login to game.
Account now shows as suspended again yet I can see the timecode transaction.
Hopefully it will start working after downtime.

I just sumbited another petition. Did any of you guys noticed something different in your Account Management -> Subscription Details -> transactions list? All my previous transactions are missing, only the most recent one (60d gtc) and the 1st ever (14 days free trial) are listed. I used to pay with my credit card and I made a quite a few payments, but they are all missing. My account was suspended/inactive for a few months (reason: Account subscription expired!). Anyway, almost 24 hours have passed since my 1st petition and still no answer. Happy New Year! to you too CCP.

The fact is that they don't care. A friend of mine and I have been waiting for 3 days after filed petitions about our accounts got disable after purchasing a GTC. No reply of any kind so far.
Just yesterday, another friend of mine submitted a petition to bring back a cancelled account for 1 day so he could apply a PLEX, and GM responded within 10 hrs.
All of us created petitions under Bill & Account\Cancelled & Suspended Account categroy. So it's obvious that they DO NOT CARE about the broken GTC system. At least GMs don't.

I have 2 accounts, both were suspended/inactive. I used that 5 days free promo they had to activate this account. I sold everything i had on this account and bought a 60 d GTC on my other (suspended) account in order to activate that one and return to EVE. Well... that was my plan anyway, but it seems that CCP has other plans :) Now, after more than 36 hours since my 1st petition, still no answer, and i begin to remember why i left EVE in the first place. Being an old player (since 2004) i had quite a few problems that needed assistance from CCP, so i'm kinnda used to this "we don't give a crap about you" customer support policies but i hope that CCP instead of "harden the f*ck up" they better wake the f*ck up, cz when Black Prophecy and JumpGate Evolution will hit the markets, they will lose some serious players. This GTC bug\problem\issue is more that 2 weeks old, more that enough time to fix it, but they just don't care. As long as it doesn't hurts them wallet they don't care about anything. As far as i know the only petitions regarding this GTC problem that got answered and fixed were submitted under different categories, like: gameplay, stuck, can't log in, technical issues, etc. So i think we should file petitions under every category, this way maybe some other GMs will see them and maybe/hopefully fix em. Or we'll get banned and this way we'll know for sure that some GM saw our problem :)
I hate you CCP for ruining this game, for making it more and more dumb proof with every patch in the last 3 years. I hope CCP will see this game again as an adventure, as a fun thing to do and not as the business they see it now and if not... i hope EVE will fail and shut down... and i pray to God for this to happen, not because i don't like EVE, but because i hate CCP.

I lost my hope two of my account was suspended with the gtc bug on 31/12/09 after 3 petitions ( one deleted to make a new one) and some mail..................NO ANSWER..
the 5th day without available to log on no a single reply from gm email or anything else.
My lost atm: one of the skill queue is finish.... lost of isks I(m thinking about 1B now. Lost of my pvp quality and presence. I'm just sitting up here and waiting, while i see some ccp staff reply in forum resolve some other petition but me not a single reply to say work in progress..

I bought some time on Steam for a steal (holiday special). When I installed the Steam client and tried to activate my other account, it told me it couldn't (no reason as to why).
I received the 5 days free offer and activated this account with one, and tried to activate my other with the other invite. This one worked, that one still didn't. While online, I bought a GTC (hadn't seen this thread yet). My other account activated for about 30 seconds, then is suspended again. No answer to any of my emails or petitions!
It would appear that my other account is just simply gone!
CCP, I'm sorry I let my account lapse. We're in a recession! It happens. Please allow me to use tools that YOU PUT IN PLACE to play my character in this game! It just goes to show you that you shouldn't kneel down in front of the third rail, grab it with both hands, and **** on it from three feet away. |

I tried to reactivate my account using my debit card but I got this message.
"We are sorry but you can not update your payment details unless you have less than 30 days playtime remaining on your current subscription.

My account is active but suspended.

Wow, I just noticed the sticky in General.. it's been 3 days and no response and I just noticesd that post.. wait? anyone think maybe I missed it cause it's stickied IN THE WRONG SECTION? Smooth move Fallout. Last I checked the people that need to see that post are looking HERE, not there. "I'm gonna go buy me a GTC, Maybe I should check general discussion for any official posts about GTC's before I go to the section of the forums dedicated to GTCs"... Common sense error anyone?

CCP fixed my problem after almost 3 full days and several petitions. AFAIK, the problem still exists and this needs to be visible until CCP confirms that this bug has been squashed, so without further ado... Bump
