More Seriously, they should have drawn a couple of the larger alliances onto the Test server to help them test. Offer each participating alliance a bone for helping, then have them duke it out on SiSi over a small area of space with properly seeded markets.
#1 it would have been fun for all those involved (pvp w/o repercussion)
#2 it would have put the sov system through it's paces.
Instead.. here we are in the production environment doing #2. I'm sure that CCP is working on a fix, and it's probably not going to be rolling back to how it was.
They did that with the moms, remember? And after all the testing and stuff they showed the community the middle finger...

Since GM's are forbidden to intervene in any way, they cannot do anything whatsoever, and devs are very scarce to sort this apparantly.
After a gazillion petititions, where we cant get anything sorted, we'll just do what everyone else does; threadnaught.
So here you go, set all your timers to come out during downtime, and you will never loose anything.

Well my opinion is why bother helping them test things? I mean, after all, we all tested the motherships and all of us thought they were good and CCP in their infinite wisdom threw it all out and said we didn't know what we were doing. Why should they listen to us about sov mechanics?

So posting to CAOD is the new high-level petition process?
Sort your internal processes CCP. You are only making more work for yourself if these sorts of issues have to be aired in public before you actually respond. If you had fixed the issue privately through the normal petition process, a lot fewer people would have had to hear about it.
Now, you're going to have to send GM's all over the place to fix this manually until you can fix your code.
This particular episode isn't really about a buggy patch (that's a separate issue). This is about your demonstrated inability to reliably and quickly respond to major gameplay issues until they appear on a public forum.
I'm sure you can see what the problem with that is. Please fix it. |

the test server is really just for practicing for alliance tourney, armaggedon day, and was for fitting ships prior to EFT

I wish now that rather than agreeing that the past *broken game mechanics* were indeed broken and supporting those who made posts about them due to ****ty CCP responses (most our enemies) I'd have just said tough.
It would have been so much more satisfying than empathising with fellow gamers.
