Circle-Of-Two	Posted - 2009.12.16 21:37:00 - [132] Yeah, having just been a part of a station system takeover I have to say that the new sov system fails to deliver anything new or better, instead of a POS grind we get to shoot the hub / station with several times the POS hp for three times each... and if the attacker misses one of the five needed shootouts with defender choosing the time, it's all back to square one with the system instantly....

IT alliance doesnt have the ability to fight goonswarm yet. Dont take this the wrong way I support IT through and through its just the goons have titans and cap fleets and IT is still getting them. Plus goons have alot of allies able to come help them and PL doesnt. PL was strong once but the only reason they really survived was because they were able to DD everyone into oblivion. Now goons have money problems so they wont help PL much and SOT isnt even able to form a good fleet. As long as IT doesnt make some huge mistake they should be able to remove PL and their pets from fountain. Then they can just lay back and stockpile. Once they have their cap fleets and no enemies fighting head on for sov they can go take back delve and the like.

We attacked it a third time and instead of it falling we got a ~3 day timer. Multiple petitions and a bug report have gotten no reply at all after 3 days. Not sure how to proceed, if at all. ---------------- We're recruiting quality players. Check us out.

That's only reasonable. By the same token, it seems pretty crazy to me that some people seem to be shocked that there are major unforseen/untested issues arising from the implementation of the new sov mechanic and that it will indeed take some time to fix these bugs. This situation bears all the hallmarks of past bugs/exploits. Frankly, anyone timing major attempts at someone else's sov shortly prior to and immediately following a major patch (especially one that completely re-vamps the sov mechanic)should be assuming that there will be major, game-breaking issues that arise and their invasion timetables and operations may be disrupted by such. Seriously who would have thought that such a complete game breaker would make it through the QA? That and the 2h+- "variation" on the Sov timers needs to be fixed ASAP. Else 0.0 will be the most boring playfield ever been created in any mmorpg....
