Mielono Caldari SWARTA	Posted - 2009.12.27 18:58:00 - [10] As a hulk pilot myself I am happy that this contest is going again, if it drops the total number of bot miners or total afk wacks just a percent I will be happy. I am tired of spending hours sitting at my screen watching my scanners looking at local talking to my guards etc, all to have my profit eaten away by a few thousand people who mine on their second account... with the screen minimized, or while a program does something I happen to spend hours doing happily (much to the mystification of my fellow corpmates and probably most of C&P). I have narrowly avoided suicide ganks, lowsec ganks, and even null attacks while mining in my hulk, all it takes is constantly watching your scanner, aligning, properly talking to your scouts and your guards. I have yet to lose a hulk and I do not think I will lose it during this current Hulkaggedon (but its still possible I guess, anyone can be killed if enough effort is applied). In the end this will be a drop in the bucket against the problem that mining has become, but if it causes a few more full time miners who pay attention like they are supposed to it cannot be bad at all.

My main is a miner and has a head full of expensive implants, the previous event did not come close to where I was but this one will be different, my corp are all active miners, not macro miners who annoy us intensely and we have been talking about this event and how we will deal with it. You are not imbeciles at all but adding to the fun, in my role playing point of view someone is doing this to create a demand for Hulks at the new higher price... Have fun!!!
