But to be a bit cynical here, you can thank the pirates' legion of alts and spies for the fact that JQA are a bit uptight about it these days - we (3rd Front) have pretty much the same problem, and at some point one simply gets enough of <1 month old chars (not knowing if you are) who claim they are just there "for exploring/mining/Agent running/buying stuff", not mentioning the temporary influx we got in lower Syndicate of people looking for good post-exodus launchpads for POS'es, etc. At some point you simply get enough. Personally, I sympathize with those who are actual upfront people, who just came there by freak incident, but the only thing I can add is "watch the cans", and study where you go beforehand, so you have an inkling of chance to know who to contact, and who to look out for. On an endnote, Inferno corp are pirates. Them letting you go would be enough to make most people suspicious, actually. First of im alot older than 1month, Inferno let me pass cuz i paid them, and they are "Honest" pirates if there is a word like that, i paid and they keept their word, i get in to syndicate to do a mission, 3-4 jumps from empire i got litterally GANKED by JQA <<Sig>> NPC Corp because i dont need anything else? More specifically in this case they have JQA member corps formally assigned rights to the individual systems in the constellation before JQA constellation. These JQA corps consider these systems part of the JQA and will shoot you without warning. However, in addition to these two constellations some, I'd have to say core members of JQA, will also shoot you if you are in a corridor between these two constellations and empire even though they dont claim that corridor and even though that corridor is also the only way between empire and solitude region. So if you are trying to get to solitude from empire and you see JQA camping a gate maybe 10 systems from JQA constellation they could very well try to kill you depending on the phase of the moon.

It's quite obvious where they are if you take the time to look up any alliance information page (or map). I've been considering to go visit them for some time, but havn't gotten around to it yet. So, let's take a look at this character that claims to be in a n00b corp because she don't need anything more. You claim to be 7 months old. Yet you travel in a frigate without mwd (or oversized AB). You claim you have access to a tech2 cruiser bpo. All these things DO indeed tell me that you are an alt, with minimal skill training, and with a main char in a corp of some size (or at least with a nice corp wallet). So, just to humour us, why not tell us who you're main is? Maybe a claim coming from your main would be more acceptable to JQA? There IS a reason why the first time you jump into 0.0 space a warning pops up, informing you in kind words that you WILL be shot at in this type of space. I find it irrelevant wheter or not it's a pirate shooting you or an alliance member, 0.0 is lawless, with the rights of the strongest beeing what counts. You weren't strongest, hence you had no rights. I use alt (n00b) chars all the time to scout myself. I do understand that defenders shot first, as if you don't the frig will have warped out LONG before you're done checking. That's also a good reason why scouting in a frig is better than in a shuttle. The price is just about nothing, and it can fit warp cores. My suggestion: Stop trying to flame alliances for doing what they are supposed to do, ie protect their home turf. Don't go into 0.0 space if you're afraid of getting podded, stay in empire. 0.0 space is for those who like a bit more interesting gaming experience, if you prefer safety you're in the wrong place. If you worry so much about the implant, how about selling a couple of those support cruiser bpc's and buy one? Much easier... Oh, and finally, I'm NOT a member of JQA nor will I ever be. I'm a solo player enjoying PvP in all it's forms, hence I formed a merc corp (yeah, I don't mind if you call us pirates) with a few friends. --------------------------------- Merc for hire, no job too small, no payment too big!

You can check the map, but I'm pretty sure both the JQ and MK constellations that JQA claims are dead-end constellations. This makes it unlikely that anyone near JQA space is there without their eyes on JQA space. The system where Jasmine got shot down was one of those corridor systems that lead toward the JQ/MK constellations. I wasn't there, but from what I gather, she was behaving much like a pirate alt does (eg. not talking in local, even after being shot down; not trying to contact the local alliance prior to venturing near their space, etc.) While it looks like Jasmine was evidently not a pirate alt, I still say JQA were justified in shooting her down. We'e heard it from everyone, the general consensus is that unknown alts/noob corp members anywhere near alliance space are KOS. JQA are no more pirates than any other corp. I hope this clears it up, and I'm sorry for telling you to get a clue, I've had a long day running errends,and my discresion has taken a back seat to frustration. JQA are not pirates, they try their damnedest to defend the small bit of territory that they do claim. My Raven's insurance ran out before it ever say what I like to call any sort of real combat. It could just be due to me not being on at the right times. The targetless environment is one of the reasons I left Syndicate, but that's neither here nor there. Anyway, what ever happened to USTA? did DNA, MAFIA, CK, and others all just go their seperate ways?
