Goonies have been feeding CCP false information. There were no 80 carriers killed. Goons are about to lose 49-U. Last night they got decimated in 7 different engagements throughout the night in late NA TZ. They failed to destroy any SBU's and the allies completed all objectives. 49-U is filled with blues. Now its time to see the goonswarm damage control. This is your update.

I will cover this in my next ISD-Article. |

Loss mails on both sides didn't register. The kb numbers are suspect, whether you claim it went one way or the other.
Some folks had little lag, others were crippled by it regardless of dialing settings down to Doom1 mode. In the end, we ping ponged around the system and each time Goons/ZAF warped off the field.
In the end, it was just under 1000 in system. iHub was put into its second r/f cycle and towers on both sides were saved.
AFAIK, there was only one carrier lost last night, an unfortunate AAA carrier warped to a Goonie pos and was bbq'd. Both sides kept their cap ships off the field as there were tons of titans waiting in the wings. Carriers assigned fighters and rep'd friendlies was about it.
The station r/f timer is up in a few hours. ZAF and Goons have CTA's set around 0100 EvE to attempt to rescue the station.
Hopefully, the devs who were cruising around got some good data to address the silliness that is large fleet warfare (defined as more than 20 on 20 ships). -------------------------------

LOL Farham.
Lots of losses on both sides (check) Good guys held the field with each battle (check) Strategic objective met (check)
Its been reported by folks on both sides that lots of losses never generated mails. I know because my Claw mail never appeared-folks on the other side said the same. Even assuming (had all mails registered) that Goons killed more ships, we held the field and completed the r/f of the iHub.
There, that should be clear enough for you to understand. -------------------------------

Just to break it down.
AAA + friends formed a sizable gang of about 500+. Caps were already pre-deployed into system before hand. AAA gang entered 49-u in preperation of a good fight to come. System had around 200 hostiles at the time POS'd up in preperation for more to enter at a later time. Goons setup multiple cyno's to bridge in another 200+ hostiles at a 600 au safe. System lag was bad at times (The Usual 1000 people on grid) but still very manageable. Goons then bridged in another 30+ carriers at there pos and then our first slugfest commenced at the hostile pos. Lots of pretty explosions on grid. Regroup was sent. Then goons attacked the sbu's in hopes to cripple our efforts of reinforcing the I-hub. Goons made multiple attempts on multiple gates. Each attempt was swiftly followed by warpins and more explosions. After 6 hours of battle , The I-hub reached reinforcement and our objective was complete. It was a great fight. Thanks goons for bringing it. Lots of killmails for everyone. |

We killed some stuff, we lost some stuff. Maybe we lost more than we killed... it's quite possible. We gonna spin this into k:d ratios again? And how exactly is this "living vicariously"? You guys really try too hard sometimes

ISD is fast becoming tabloid journalism - they'll print any interesting story from any source regardless of whether it's true or not. It's unsurprising that alliances are increasingly unwilling to talk to ISD. It would be nice to see some retractions made, and maybe an editor fired!

Not so much. During the first engagement, I dropped Sentries. Only two drones actually launched, one 5km+ away from the other(I was moving ~100m/sec).

"Decimated" means to lose 1 in 10 - OP says you had a 90% survival rate.

It means you guys post an awful lot in threads about wars/battles that often star a primary alliance doing all the heavy lifting. I didn't think I was being too complicated.

Actually its your outpost thats coming out of reinforced not iHub...(well, both i guess :p). But yah, goons far outnumber sys-k atm and will hold the field trough the night. Had some good fights over the weekend, hopefully some more to come in the near future See you out there!
