I already had PS3, which is well worth it's money. I got the Beta key and when Dust Beta v2 came out I decided to buy PS Move and Sharp Shooter. I love Dust and I will keep spending on it, just like EVE. This is very little money for the number of hours I spend having fun every day... cya out there... |

If CCP would want men to play Dust then it would be available to all platforms.. But I guess they (CCP) just figured out which of the camps is the easiest to fool.

Microsoft wanted to control everything, the servers and charge for updates. Would have cost CCP more than the players to keep it updated.
PC, well, if you want to gut your own player base, go in direct competition with planetside, and not work on spreading your brand name to market and raise the interest in other titles to more players. EvE and WoD.
The madness... has its reasons.

I got a ps3 because i was bored of the lack of 360 exclusives... when i heard of dust being a ps3 exclusive all it did is make me not get rid of my ps3. I was getting bored of it, but along with PSN+ free games, and some good exclusives coming. i kept it and i am glad i did. |

I didn't buy a PS3 as I already had one, but I did go out and buy a headset for the game :D haven't cared to use a headset since my days in Left 4 Dead. |

You should get GT5.
Completing a lap of Nordschleife in under 6 -+ minutes with no driver assists switched on, is close to gaming Nirvana.
Especially in a V8 RWD car.

I will never buy a ps3 .. especially not to play a fps game, since console fps is inferior to pc fps in many way. Although I did hear you can use mouse.
Anyway I have a pc and will not be wasting vast amounts of money on a soon to be outdated console. Sad because i'd really like to buy dust and play it. |

Considering it, assuming I could connect it to my 3D monitor and Logitech Z-680 5.1 speakers and use my current Logitech keyboard and mouse. I don't have a TV at the moment and I don't really want to go out and buy one just to use with the console.
This is where I wish it was possible to purchase a software emulator as I really have no need for a console. This whole strategy just shows how inferior it is playing a FPS game on a console...

Well , it's just typical! After an especially bad week at work I found myself in need of some retail therapy so bought a PS3 and the mere pack.

i played the beta and its just cool. same market and skills like eve. the battles are interesting. only thing they should do is to increase the resolution in menues to 1080p :p |

I'm working toward a PS3 for dust, as well as for Gran Turismo and Metal Gear. I bought one when they were released and a year later it red blinked on me. So it's about time I bring another home, most likely used. |

Does your monitor have an HDMI input? Or could you get an HDMI-to-DVI converter?

i guess im one of the lucky ones,,
i have a contract mobile which i use for work, so i just renewed it via carphone warehouse in the uk and got a ps3 as the "free" gift,
win/win as i wrote off the contract as a tax expense and used the blue ray feature to blag it too the missus and as an early birthday present for my son. |

Nope. Not going to. A game like Dust belongs on the PC, and I won't buy a console just to play it. I was really, really looking forward to Dust before I found out it was console exclusive.
Does CCP really expect the PS3 player base at large to enjoy the persistence, skills, etc that PC MMO players are into? At college I lived in a building full of console gamers. Hell I joined in from time to time. But they don't go for this kind of stuff. Consoles are usually enjoyed in the presence of company, and if you die and pass off the controller, you don't care if the guy your giving it to gets the tank blown up.
Just imagine the first time someone logs in and realizes that they have to earn the money for their tank, and when they lose it its gone. Yep, this is going to end well.
If this PS3 shenanigans falls through, the loyal CCP player base will still be here. On the PC. |

Agreed, that is insanity spending that kind of money on a console that will most likely be upgrading to a new console before long anyhoo. We all know the xbox/ps come out with a bigger/faster edition every few years. Besides Eve is a PC game...why is there no PC version...deeeerrrrrppp. |

My story might be one of the crazier ones...
So a close friend told me about Eve a time ago, but I wasn't into PC games much, I've always been a hardcore console shooter guy. Then he tells me about Dust514, and how it coexists with Eve. Finally his and my skills on both platforms could be put to the test as one. But alas, Dust was only for PS3, and I only had an Xbox...
So in my state of sadness, I joined (and became addicted to) Eve. been playing for about a month, I've nearly abandoned the Xbox games and I've also "aquired" a younger sibling's PS3, and decided to download the beta once CCP started giving them out... in short, I believe this was all perfect timing |
