I suggest you buy your self in for a measly 20Gé¼ if you don't get lucky in access pass lottery.

I am not a huge fan of consoles to begin with but I love eve just don't have time to sit down for 4 hours at a time anymore what with real life and all. EVE ruined every other game for me as they just don't feel as immersive without a single shard server and a skill tree that takes more than a decade or two to fill out. Hopefully DUST will be as fulfilling and complex as eve without requiring at least a 4-8 hour game play session to get something out of it. But I will feel stupid if they release it for the PC a year after the PS3 release.

Main reasons for that were DUST looks pretty poorly both in visual and gameplay compared to BF3. But if CCP will make PC version some day I'll give it a try. Hell I joined in from time to time. But they don't go for this kind of stuff. Consoles are usually enjoyed in the presence of company, and if you die and pass off the controller, you don't care if the guy your giving it to gets the tank blown up. Just imagine the first time someone logs in and realizes that they have to earn the money for their tank, and when they lose it its gone. Yep, this is going to end well. If this PS3 shenanigans falls through, the loyal CCP player base will still be here. On the PC.

You have it backwards mate.. You are suppost to buy a TV and use it as a monitor.. Not use a monitor as a TV.

Just bought it 2 months back for the beta, with a Move with Camera, Nav controller, and Sharpshooter. Then a Hori TAC3 for the KB+M support. I went out last weekend to get a PS Vita to get onto the Neocom beta (which isn't even a full game, just an app for Dust). I think I may need some counselling...but Sony and CCP probably wouldn't think so :p Edit: And I'm pretty sure I can find some other uses for the hardware other than playing Dust :s

The skills and weapon selection and the customization is very nice but skills are just there to eventually get a weapon or tank or dropsuit to what it should be, so just put that carrot on the stick for everyone.... I am worried about the pay to play aspect that you can level your character faster if you pay for boosts, therefor directly influencing the fact that people who pay for the first months for boosts, will have a significant advantage as they will be higher level then everyone else if they play the same amount, and higher skills = more dmg and accuracy. I'm excited by what I see so far, it seems like an eve version of halo with some added things, and some nice changes. Also very worried that with the cost of gear people will camp way too much and only move in groups, I guess its more realistic because people don't want to die, and won't suicide rush as much which can be nice... we shall see, looking forward to a more polished version, more maps and more open environments, etc. Lastly the ability to use keyboard and mouse I think any pc game would agree is far better then the joystick controller, except for maybe some young kids brought up with one of those in their hands (that was pretty much me tho since the NES) so I don't know how I can compete with people who are using a mouse at home... debating whether to hook mine up and get to work or if I should try to learn how to be good with the joysticks...

We can't say much here with the NDA still on but I don't think there will be perceived skill problem with early starters in DUST like there is perceived to be in EVE Online. Not in DUST (although some stuff is Eve-similar, a larger degree is completely new and, well, undocumented), but in the PS3. Single thing I REALLY hate about the PS3 is that I have to use TWO difference headsets on this thing: one for in-game chat/chatter/communications (USB), and a different one entirely for listening to DVD/BluRay stuff. Really poor implementation on Sony's part. Honestly, this might be a make-it-or-break-it for me personally, and strictly because of the console chosen. XBox is much more the "all-in-one" console/media center device, and PS3 just ain't it. And no, I won't buy a PS4 when it comes out because I just forked out for the PS3. Both are wired and both use USB to connect. love your sig. troll. when and if i decide to play again it will be with the same old office cherry mechanical keyboard and microsoft 1.1 optical replaced a few times because i screw up the mouse wheel. they are perfect, you can't improve on them for what i want. i just ordered a kana because i'm down to my last 3 new mice and can't source any other good mice :) zero accel no ****, it works outa the box. always did. i'm betting this new steelseries has bugs i will find. sadly the people at ccp china cant and couldnt make it work. and yes i bought a ps3 to play dust on.
