Mine was selecting a null system at random after DT, putting a shuttle on AP and going off to the movies. A few hours and over 50 jumps later, came home to find myself deep in null. In my shuttle.
Set AP back where I started - went to bed, got up in the morning, found myself back home - still in my shuttle.

Went solo into red-occupied Syndicate space in a nano and MWD Drake with a cloak (experimental fit  ) and had a few friends in various ships with me.
All the rest of them got popped by a red Cerberus and friends, and I managed to get home in one piece. |

Back in my first couple of days , I went mining in some 0.0 ( after I finally figured out how to leave a system) in a velator. I was mining a big veldspar roid since I thought a bigger roid would be worth more. Then this ship shows up as I'm mining. I was thinking hmm why is that guy shooting me. I got worried when I was down to half armor. I tried to warp away but I was pointed and ended up getting podded. I didn't even know about about warp scrambling and disruption. I was so pissed I ripped out my mouse and threw it at the wall. After calming down and talking to my friend, I finally figured out how to play. Then I found out that it was him that killed me. I'm waiting, waiting patiently for the day when I enact my revenge.
I'm thinking back as I write this, and I can't help but think man what a noob. |

Perhaps my weirdest escapade started in my second month in EVE and lasted for a month. I'd gotten into an Iteron III and trained a couple of anchoring skills, so I was good to go on moon goo. I practiced mining a cheap metal for a few weeks with a small tower that I'd earned from missioning, and that eventually gave me enough to get a medium.
So I started doing a 3-input complex reaction on the medium tower -- Phenolic Composites, having determined that this was the reaction that produced the highest profit going from raws bought off the market.
But wait, I hear you cry - you can't do a 3-input complex reaction on a medium -- they don't have enough CPU. Well, yes: a Caldari medium has 3750 tf CPU. Here was my setup:
Input: Three coupling arrays at 155 tf each: 465 tf
Complex reactor: 3000 tf
Output: One coupling array at 155 tf
Total: 3620 tf -- 130 to spare!
However, there's a catch, which is what made it weird: each hour the reactor produces 2200 Phenolic Composites, at 0.2 m3 each. That's 440 m3 per hour into the 1500 m3 output coupling array. This means that if you don't clear it every three hours you'll lose product. And that's what I did for a month between my low-sec runs back and forth to Jita to buy raws and sell Phenolics. I didn't run it 23/7, quite -- I shut it down before bedtime each night, then fired it up again in the morning.
I was very glad when I'd finally earned enough for my first large tower at the end of the month! |

Stupidest: Not checking intel.
Woke up, logged on, jumped Nanopest into 75 strong PL gatecamp (note to self, always check intel channels). Jumped camped gate and bravely ran away to search for fresh underwear.
Still can't figure out how I wasn't insta popped. |

Nothing BIG...
Saw an ORCA mining in a belt with 5 Harvester Drones. The ORCA Pilot was afk so I stated bumping the orca to get him of grid so I can pick up the Drones to sell them since they sell for 80mil each.
Got him 260km of the belt before he woke up and realized what is going on. Missed out on alot of isk, Should have fitted a better Bumping ship.
I did manage to get harvester Drones from Retriever. Used a Legion with Medium Lasorz... The Sound those lasorz make is just awesome. Warped into belt targeted the retriever and the closest roid... Shot the roid right next to him. Retriever pilot must have pissed himself since he warped away really fast.
Picked up his Harvester Drones.... Scored many iskies.
I will add that under weirdest....

Weirdest - Self destructing a jump freighter with a full cargo for no apparent reason, I can't remember what possessed me to do that... I wasn't being attacked or anything.
Stupidest - If not the above event with the jump freighter, the stupidest thing I've done would probably going into a Wormhole without a scanner... I got lost in there for a couple of days.
Ballsiest - Probably one of my old sabotage assignments during the days when I did RP; the task was to fly through a gate guarded by a corporation's security division, gain access to their POS, loot it and then casually stroll on by the security again as I leave with the goods. Sadly the job failed as they had a habit of scanning anyone who left the system. |

Flew a Hulk through like 10 jumps in hostile low security space with no real tank, thinking warp core stabilizers would protect me. Only met one person, he tried chasing me down, but I was too quick for him. This was when Hulks were still over 400 million. I guess I was lucky.  Dunno if you would consider it ballsy, or stupid. I lean toward stupid now that I look back on it.

Sure enough, in came a dread with rep carrier and about 20 subcaps. Logged in 2 x POS gunners and tried my best to take out some of the subcaps. Repping carrier just kept repping them because locktime on POS guns is pathetic.
All the while I was getting angrier and angrier about why my tower was being hit! So I did something really stupid.
I got sooooo angry, I logged the POS gunners and jumped in my Chimera and cynoed myself in on a guaranteed suicide mission, determined to take someone out.
Warped right on top of the subcaps and started discoing while I put the fighters on the carrier. Total waste but I had a ball when they saw the cyno and thought a fleet was coming in to pop them. The reaction in local was priceless.
I did get kudos in local for being so brave but the +-2b ISK loss hurt after I calmed down and realised how stupid I was. Been hoping they get caps out of low ever since. That's if they want low to be populated anyway.

If this ever happens, ask around. There are many, many groups that love to drop on small groups bashing poses in Lowsec and will happily assist you pro bono at the chance for some cap kills. Ask around a bit and you should get connected with the right people. It helps to have a reputation of being reliable, but even if you just provide intel it'll probably get checked out.

This was actually offered. By some lowsec locals that I had blued (so I could get around) and my alliance blues said they would bring in caps for the kill. (We're talking bigtime too).
Problem I had was that my local blues (whose friends were bigtime) and my alliance blues (also bigtime) were red to each other. Who do you ask? Since both offered to help and knew the timer, I felt that it'd start a massive cap fight to save a 200m tower! So I chose to negotiate out.
I made a 24 hour "get out of lowsec" financial deal with the reo people, which they honored. What they did was tell a different alliance to come do the kill. So I lost it all. |

Was many years ago, I was in Torrinos and jumped into EC-P8R and the gate was bubbled, I unloaked and was instantly webbed by a Rapier, Jammed by a Falcon and popped by 3 Raven's that decloaked off the gate.
Then the red mist decended....
I logged on my alt that was still in Torrinos and jumped into EC again to pop the Rapier since I felt that was the ship that most fouled up my ability to get back to the gate....
And yup, same thing happened again, lost 2 ships on 2 characters within 3-4 mins to the same camp.
I launched my wireless mouse across the room after the 2nd death, luckily it hit the curtains and I didn't end up smashing it to pieces. |

Got drunk and took my Tempest on a solo roam. Played a cat and mouse game in an enemy system with a vaga, myrmidon, falcon and various tacklers. Finally succeeded in getting the vaga alone for long enough to kill it. Got a tackler or two as well. After losing all my drones, armor at 40%, and significant overheat damage I made a run for it. I had 8 jumps to cross with a group that had grown to around a dozen chasing me. Took an alternate route and shook them but it was a stupidly close thing. One hell of a rush. |

Way back, when I was looking for "easy" isk, and ha gotten myself a Bustard, I thought "hey let's check out some good couriers"
So I saw one from Null-Jita wich was about 18k M^3 and a "hefty" reward of 50 mil, now I had no Id+¬a about the whole docking-rights thing, but for some reason i was "smart" enough to think "I'll accept it when i get there".
Now when i pop Into the system, there is a lovely gate camp (ofc) but no Bubbles o.O, and since i was paranoid/wimpy back then i'd smacked 2 warp-stabs on.
Long story short, got out of the camp, couldent dock.
Was chased by 2 guys for about 12 jumps that kept trying to put a point on me :D
Last jump back to high, I take it easy and don't spam the warp button.
The 2 guys jumps in, target's me -> point -> CONCORDOKEN.
I follow up with typing "thank you Concord guys" :D
Ah the good old days :D

I was brand new to the game, after coming from WoW. I was trying to buy a new module for my ship, and didnt know how the market read. I was use to wow where the colors mean alot and so was focused on the Bright green buy orders, and thought that meat the market contianed those items, and tried to buy the module from the green buy orders, ended with my almost leaving the game, but thought I would try one last time to make it work, and so headed to a low sec station that had a green buy order to get my module, and was podded undocking without my module, Bought a 15 million sp clone and drained my isk account for it. Alos quickly after that realised I had to pay attanetion to the non colorful words in the market and those mattered more for me. Trained now not to ignore the dull grey words. |

This was just a couple weeks ago--back when modules were randomly offlining. I sold all my assets except for a Dominix and some spare modules to buy a Scorpion Navy Issue and the spiffiest deadspace shield booster I could find. Got out to a mission site and realized that one of my shield hardeners was offlined. Barely had enough cap to do it, but I put the module online and started getting into the fight just as I got tackled by three warp scrambler frigs.
You can all guess what else was offline; I'll skip past the details of my humiliating loss of a billion isk worth of space shinies. Now I find myself back in the station with nothing to my name but a Dominix and a bucket of assorted tech 1 modules.
So I frankenstein-ed together a passive shield-tanked Dominix, kitted it out with auto-cannons, and spent the next week earning the hell out of a new Scorpion Navy Issue and a deadspace shield booster to match.
The daftest part of that was that I could have used part of the proceeds to buy a Megathron, or a Raven, or even a simple armor repper...but it was just too much fun! Every time I warped into a mission site I couldn't help but laugh at how bloody stupid I felt piloting a passive shield-tanked auto-cannon Dominix, so I kept on going.  |

ballsiest: autopiloting through low sec my first day playing back in 07 while heading to join my first player corp, which i didnt knwo anything about simply because they offered to pay me to mine and run missions
weirdest: thinking i was being attacked by another player in a 0.5 system when i first encountered a named npc in a belt (not an officer, jsut a named guy chilling in a belt) i still kill the npc from time to time

Well, back in days I lived in Great Wildlands and was in Foundati0n allaince. We were in war against -V- and I was moving from NDQ to 7JF to make some ISK in my ratting raven, fitted with prototype cloak. Intel was good, but still somehow I managed to jump in small -V- patrol. Vagapond and some other ships. I uncloaked and cloaked and started slowboating with cloaked raven. Well, about 20-30 minutes laters I was still in middle of those hostile ships, cloaked in a raven and they couldn't find me Eventually they just shouted something at local and left.
Second ratting raven story I have from the borderzone between Etherium Reach and Great Wildlands. I had bit different fit, I had buffer shield fit and double large smarties at highslots. I was engaged by four recon ships. Rapiers and Arazus and they throw drones on me and damps. Well I smash the drones with smarties and they are chewing my tank. After 5 mins they are still chewing my tank...... Not enough DPS to bring down 200 dps ratting tank, oh the smack on local against those four useless recons...
Third memory is from M-M, fight against Red Alliance. It was just before I left from EVE. We were engaging in sniper fight, and they had lot's of falcons. Yeah remember sniper BS's and falcons?? Oh those were times, dropping AoE doomsdays. Well I had just lost my Typhoon (my char in that fight was Coros) and I had actually been podded. So I grabbed one of my vagabonds and undocked. Fight was still going and I burned towards those falcons. The battle was large, something like 400 in local (NPC space) and I reached first falcon and engaged it. It was jamming and I had ECCM so it couldn't start jamming me straight away. I burned through his shield really fast and it went down. Then I burned against second and it actually started jamming me, but jam didnt land and it went down too. At that point their FC apparently noticed what was going and their whole sniperfleet started engaging me, lonely vagabond chasing their falcons. Their falcons also started warping off when and switched locations. I was caught and podded, again.
Well, -1 M SP from Minmatar BS V.... FUFUFUFU  IIRC sold the character in next day |

I'd just got back to Hek from a mission, and decided to drop a can in a belt to pick up a frigate to shoot at. When the Brutix picked it up, I made the mistake of opening fire. x_X |

I used to do level 3 missions in cruisers for the challenge. After awhile, I got good at it using a Caracal, so I decided to look toward other ships. Everyone trash talks the Moa, so I decided to take one into a level 3 Angel Extravaganza (back when it had 4 turrets). It was a what I thought was a crappy ship going into what I thought was hard mission. It actually worked decently, much to my surprise and my corp-mates.
Ever since then I kind lost respect for AE and gained some for the Moa. |

I once visited UPS space, in a Nightmare, did somewhere around 230m ISK worth of sanctums and havens then headed back to my home system because i had to do something else. That was their main production system, and they had between 12 and 15 people on local at the moment. System had no outpost (this was before the sanctum nerf, mind you) They were neutrals to my alliance, and mine to them.
I went, i did and i returned unharmed and untouched. Wasn't defiance though, i honestly didn't know that they werent our friends and that they were free to shoot me and vice-versa. |

Had decided to fit up a PVP drake as i was lacking ships in my wormhole system, closest market system was Hek. Fitted out the drake then thought "**** it", i-¦ll take the low route back (turns out was the fastest) which pasted through Otou, Miroitem and Rancer. Knew i would most likely die going from the Miroitem gate to the Croliere gate in Rancer so jumped from Miroitem, didnt anticipate that that gate would be camped. 2 Hurricanes and a Drake.
Decided that i-¦d aid the gate guns and see what happened as i wasnt too fussed about losing the ship, decloaked and straight away one of the hurricanes was the first to get aggression so the missile spam began, cane lost shield pretty fast and ended up deaggressing and jumped out (sadly not fast enough to die). Then started nailing the drake which had gotten aggro, that ended up warping as i ended up capped out trying to keep the hardeners up, the last cane got aggro but then friends started arriving, decided to deaggress, managed to jump through to the single cane i had been hitting before, managed to warp back to otou gate without the cane trying to get a lock and back to hek. No kills but no losses and a whole load of an adrenaline rush |

most stupid thing I've done so far was flying a freighter from Rens to Jita manualy (that itself is stupid), then at one point warped to the wrong gate and suddenly found myself in low-sec with just over 1,5 bill isk worth of cargo...
Being more lucky then I deserved I slowboated back to the gate and jumped out without anyone noticing ^_^

Probably qualifies as both dumbest and ballsiest...
Participating in an Agony 'Wolfpack' roam with my desktop still on wireless Internet. Held up surprisingly well until Caldak warped to that POS (graphic effect freaks out my card sometimes).
Needed to head to work by then anyway. :-) One 7 Mill Thrasher for five hours enjoyment, good trade-off.
Another 'dumbest' would be trying the first iteration of PI, realizing it was causing pain in my wrist, and training a PI-based char on release anyway. The char got shelved for six or so months until v2 of PI was released. |

When I was a mega-newb, I got greedy (or cheap, rather) and started buying skillbooks in low sec systems - got gate jumped on my rupture by 7 people..
Shrugged it off a minute later after a person in rookie chat gave me 10 mill for being the first to google an answer to a question I didn't know. Wah000!
I'm still a newb.
One thing that intimidates me is not being able to understand what I should be able to understand - or at least, people telling me what I can or cannot understand.

Dumbest: make 54 jumps tru 0.0 from my previous alliance base to my next one with all my belongs in a Blasterthron.
Attempt to gank anyone not blue in the way meanwhile... almost got a republic fleet stabber, who almost got me when his falcon friend show off good thing i was able to deaggro and warp bacl tru gate.
Weirdest: after a couple of weeks of utter boredom bought a clone jumped to hi-sec and began to travel from jita to all the know trade hubs looking for wartargets , ended up killing a couple of small scan frigs the enemy used for suicide ganks.
To do: Clone jump to my old 0.0 HQ get my neutron fit DIEMOST and travel back to hi-sec shooting anything on my way |

My corp was moving to a diffirent region after things went south in 0.0
was moving my stuff from Amarr to Hek. moved all my ships and all i had left was an iteron 4 with about 1 billing in T2, Meta 4 and faction moduels and other stuffs.
said iteron had no tank Fail
I was so tierd with moving 9 ships all those jumps and i just wasnt thinking "hey its the pipe between 2 market hubs"
got about 3 jumps from amarr when 2 Arty BS auto lock and pop

Not sure on weirdest or ballsiest but I have a story im proud of in the balliest category.
I'm all about wormhole corps. Our C4 home had a door open to a C5 couple years ago. This by the way was the highlight of my Eve career. In the C5 was a festering mass of big-time Russian pirates. As usual when a door opens we send our expert cloaky scanner through to see if it's active. He sees 3 Helios scanning already, 3 Large starbases on scan, and a ton of Battleships and advanced Cruisers at the towers.
We're proactive because we have one tower, and we were in the process of completing our defenses, resources being short between 15 members. Our scanner came back through, reporting. We had to close that hole, they would be coming through any minute. We'd had this threat before but not on such a magnitude.
We get our Orcas, with the scanner on their side watching to be sure its clear and our babies get to work dropping the hole's mass.
I still don't know what happened but on the final trip, before it could return the final Orca had a mixup and got the session timer lag bug just after a 40-man fleet of pirate battleships and cruisers appeared on their side of the hole. It were stuck in enemy territory. Up went the bubbles. My ballsy move was that, knowing the whole force could not go through to defend them until they could pass as it risked stranding the entire corp if it closed, I rammed my Scorpion through, appearing in the center of the furball on their side, ECMing like crazy, getting locked and rocked. I don't know if 40 ships could take down an orca in the minute or so they were locked in there, but I know alot of ships switched targets to me, evidence being I exploded after holding the line. I darted my pod back through exactly as the Orcas unlocked and passed through, and we all popped out in our home, the hole was gone, stranding a pirate Domi that chose the wrong time to head through.

while on a WH i saw a shuttle in local, grabbed my jaguar, Dscanned it and warped to it, knowing that 15 mins earlier a small fleet of cloaky ships and T3 had been around, killed the shuttle, and then a frig pointed me, funny thing is.. i set my jaguar to approach the ship, and a proteus is following me to bring the kill dps. thing is... i keep following the ship ahead of me, the proteus could not catch up with me after a while the scram ship warps away just about to die , and i on some insight of stupidity decide i can take the proteus too... as soon i get close to the proteus a brutix and 10 friends of him warp towards me neut the hell of my ship and all i get to do is to kill a drone and a shuttle -.- |

Stupidest: Forgetting my drones when trying to deagress and jump/dock a couple times. Also brazenly warping my non-buffered dual-rep Domi into a fleet of 10 gank cruisers as bait. Yeah, they took that bait - and fast!
Ballsiest: Most recent I'd say is bumping a Rorqual as it undocked in Stain (T-8) and keeping it from aligning out to the POS it was trying for with absolutely no backup of my own. Eventually I got him outside the docking ring -- his friends in station never undocked to help. However, another enemy fleet scout HAD taken notice and local spiked with his fleet as a rapier uncloaked to grab tackle. I gave the rorqual one more bump for good measure and headed my tempest back to docking range for safety. I also fired a few shots in case they killed him in time. I'd done the legwork to setup the kill, I figured I deserved some credit. Sure enough, he died, got bubbled, podded and rage-logged for a good while.
(Maybe not the ballsiest, but the biggest bang for the balls by far)
Weirdest: Ages ago in lowsec, a small corp pissed off my corp and then they decided to put up a POS in our home system. I took great pleasure in slowly peeling mods off one at a time ninja-pos-bash-style. The best part was catching one of their guys outside the tower repping his guns one day in a battleship. I happened to be in a Domi with lots of drone control range mods up top and was using my Ogres to pick on the their POS from outside 150k point range of the tower. The guy had to have been afk because he sat still while my 5 Ogre IIs covered 160km distance, tore him apart slowly, and then took at least another minute for one of the Ogres to get enough tracking to pod the poor sob. They eventually left our system :) |

third or fourth day in the game, in a Kestrel, saw a guy in a pod with a huge bounty on his head (mind you I was in game three or four days. "Huge" may have been as much as five million), thought OOOO If I kill him I can get the bounty!! AT A GATE locked him and fired a single light missile.

A few corps back, our CEO (dude's name insnt important cause he sold that character after this - no joke) decided he wanted a POS in low sec. We were a highsec corp, mostly mission runners and miners, a few ppl interested in PVP.
We'd joined a fairly large industrial alliance the day before.
They had no PVP corps
Anyhoo, our CEO finds this neat little pocket of lowsec surrounded by jumps and jumps on highsec. He decides this is the perfect place to put it. A friend an I scout out the area and tell him it belongs to S I L E N T. an we really dont wanna **** with them.
He says this:
"Its OK, theres highsec all around the low sec area. The only way they could get cap ships into the area would be to have built them in the low sec pocket an that would be stupid."
-mind you I had at this point never even SEEN a cap ship, an had no idea how jump drives even worked, assumed (lol) he knew what he was talking about, I let it go. My friend, was trying to talk him out of the idea for a week.
The POS is anchored, and onlined. During this process, a Proteus is seem in system, but it doesnt bother anyone. We decide to name the thing something like Aegis Shield POS and are all proud that we have a low sec POS. My friend is saying we may wanna think about leaving the corp.
An hour later...
Im on Teamspeak when a random guy in the POS starts yelling about ships warping into the system, and seeing reds, stuff like that. Im curious, engage a jump clone, grab a shuttle, and hop to the POS.
There was a Revelation, another DN and a good 300 support ships all in a tight cluster around the POS, blowing the hell out of it.
The fight was short, we hadnt had the chance to put much into the thing so it didnt last long, we didnt even have guns on it. The alliance guys kinda shook their heads at our CEO's stupidity, and was gonna move on.
Then they war decced the alliance
Our CEO went "Well... good luck with that guys, im gonna leave an go to 0.0 to see how the big corps work"
He docked, an I didnt see him again for like 6 months
We quit the corp the night of the wardec, given that the writing was on the wall for that corp, I watched S I L E N T.'s killboards for a few weeks afterwards, an yeah they were having fun.
Thats about the stupidest thing I can really think Ive seen in this game lol |

On my main... on a op deep in enemy territory, somehow fell asleep while on a gate. woke up 40 minutes later realising what I had don't. Apparently friendly gang was sitting in a safespot a few jumps away while the FC was sitting cloaked with me. Didn't lose my ship even though the enemy gang was in the system so apparently they thought I was bait. Kinda got shouted at by the FC but was rather funny |

For me it was probably when, as a new player, I decided to start killing NPC convoys outside of stations in empire. I just wanted to know what was inside. It was a great moment for me when I realized CONCORD didn't intervene... and I started killing lots of them. I hosed my faction standings w/ many a NPC corp though...

two things for ballsiest/stupidest things and one definate stupid moment
1st Ballsy/Stupid one, Flying an Orca with a Hulk and mack and various other mining ships in cargo and hanger 30+ jumps through high sec during the height of one of the hulkageddons.
2nd Ballsy/Stupid one, Whilst evacuating from ATLAS space when my alliance was renting from them, No WH so decided to fly from ATLAS 0.0 to Octanneve in one go with a billion isk clone in my pod. Made it too :)
Stupidest Moment, Jumping into Jita when we were wardecc'd by the orphanage. I had dropped roles and just had to dock to quit corp. Docked in 4/4 and bought something shiny then undocked locked and podded within miliseconds goodbye faithful billion isk clone :( |

I was so excited to have finally 1) Gotten the ability to fly a freighter and then 2) bought a freighter.... it was exciting!
I discovered moments later that I despised flying a freighter because it takes ... for ... ev.... er. So autopiloting I did go with my empty freighter. I had flipped over to my other account, and then back about 30 minutes later, to find out my route to Jita for the freighter ... took me through... yea, you guessed it....

Stupidest 1: I was changing corps and moving ships and decided to autopilot through high sec with a low security status... in my Legion.. came back just in time to see my ship esplode.
Stupidest 2: Running a epic arc mission couldn't hit a scramming rat and lost my ship then proceeded to lose two more ships to the infernal rat. Due to angrily and Hastily fitted. |

Dumbest noob mistake: Lost my very first ship, a Harbinger, in low-sec. I was ninja mining, had 2 lasers attached so I could kill the rats. Drake lands in belt 50k off, then he warps off. I think "Oh he must be ratting!" 15 seconds later he lands at 0 on me and subsequently melts my face.
Dumbest mining mistake: Going afk with my drones out to protect me in a .6. Came back to a pod after the rats killed all my drones and then destroyed my covetor. Actually did this twice!
Dumbest mission mistake: Not paying attention to the trigger while flying my Absolution in a neut heavy lvl 4. Popped 2 triggers in a row, scrammed by frigs and neuted dry.
Dumbest trading mistake: While playing trading games on an alt I see a contract to buy a plex for 343,000.00. My mind saw it as 343,000,000, so I bought a plex off the market for 313 mil and sold it for 343 k. I felt absolutely ********. |

I got an interesting story from back in the day.
So, I was pulling a corp theft at the time all by myself. I was in an Ares for a quick get away. So I started off deep in Catch and took all of the BPO's, some +5 implants, and whatever else could fit. Then I made 20 something jumps to Stain where they had a Carrier BPC chilling (back when carriers were a big deal and new). Then I make my way back to empire space. I notice my path is taking me through HED-GP, notorious for ganktastic times. This was also when the Bob/Goon wars were first flaring up. I figure I will be ok though. I think this was before warp to zero but I felt confident I could make it ok in my inty.
So I jump into HED and notice local is flooded with tons of people. Not good but I keep going anyways. I warp to the gate and get pulled off by a bubble about 70 km out. ****! There was also a massive fleet there with Bob and Goons shooting the hell out of each other. DOUBLE ****! So I kick in my MWD and burn toward the gate straight between the two fleets, missiles flying over my head, lasers burning everywhere on my path. I thought for sure some joker would decide to target the one lone inty streaking around.
I got lucky though. I managed to burn through that wall of fire and jump out into empire space where I promptly found the nearest station, docked up, and heaved a massive sigh of relief. |

Me and my friend started up a corp, just the 2 of us. We wanted to make a POS but we didnt want to have to do thousands of missions to get our standing up. So we desided to make it in lowsec. We went down to 0.4 space and set up the POS, as soon as it was up a Dreadnaught showed up and tolled us we had to take it down, but to do that we had to online it and when we onlined it he and 2 other Dreadnaughts showed up and started fireing at it and us. We where podded and 4 hours later we got a email say the POS was destroyed. (Our shield was at 56% to start) |

Most Stupid: Going into a wormhole flying a minnie ship (I was the ONLY one in corp that flew rust, everyone else flew caldari, those snobs), and without any skills what so ever for scanning. The result? I was stuck in a WH for a bit while I trained up Caldari Frigate to fly the Heron sitting in the Corp Hanger dealy, there was also the basic skillbooks sitting in there, next to the Heron.
Ballsiest: Flying my partially deadspace fitted Macherial from 6vdt to highsec with no scouts and the intel channels closed. I still have that same Mach :D
Weirdest: Was in a wormhole with 1st corp, was warpin around planets "discovering' stuff, and i noticed something strange, it appeared that the star in there was following me, as in it was always directly behind me. I need to stop going into wormholes |

Stupidest/Ballsiest: though the rest of my fleet was 12 jumps away, i solo tackled a carrier. after being popped i kept bumping the carrier in my pod and was being really annoying till they podded me.
Wierdest: My friend Breia Starbeam decided to autopilot from our home system in null to jita, something like 40+ jumps i think, in a shuttle. Somehow he made it there and then autopiloted the whole way back. |

When I was very new to the game I decided I wanted to see the EvE gate in the new Eden system. So I did. In a Rifter.
I then found out about all the cans people had anchored there, some as memorials but most just like 'xxxx was here!!!'.
Wanting to do the same thing I started looking for a place to buy a small secure container. Erhm.....what?!? Nearest is 11 jumps out?
Then and there I decided it would make me serious Isk if I would be the supplier of those containers in the nearest station, which happened to be in the Angur system.
'Ok, lets do this. Zip to Amarr, buy a Sigil, load it with all the small secure containers it can hold and zip back to Angur.'.....
In an unfitted Sigil, without having a clue about low-sec, and without getting shot at once.
It then took 3 whole months to sell 21 containers for a net profit of 4200 Isk.......
Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format.
Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

It's hard to pick just 1 thing...
Taking an Apoc fitted with 1 ML and the rest large smart bombs 36 jumps through hostile 0.0 with no bookmarks before warp to 0km when there was only warp to 15km... and lived.
Taking a badger mark II through 40+ hostile 0.0 systems with a cloak on it to unanchor and retrieve a tower the alliance I was in had left behind... and lived.
Chasing a lone hostile through 0.0 for about 5 jumps in my Rifter and finding the other 300... then the station. |

Joined a new corp, moved down to their area and had a look around.
Went into a 0.4, and saw a ship many km away, so wasn't worried, and I sat there as he proceded to melt me from 150+km, I'd always flown ravens so had never heard of sniping ships.
I sat there stunned and didn't warp off, or even slow boat it back to the gate. Needless to say, I learned about snipers, and maybe it would be a good idea to move away when you're getting shot at.

-¦ had just enough skills to fly a harbinger and joined a corp. I was running lvl3 missions. Then my corp involved in a war. I thought hisec was safe and kept running lvl3 missions. One day i warped out of a mission pocket at half hull. When i reached the station I saw a red flashing player in my overview, i was just writing in the corp chat "What does a red flashing name in the overwiev represents when i noticed he was targetting me. I was in a big panic. I disconnected the internet cable and quit the game.
When i came back 5 minutes later i found out I had been killed and podded. I deleted that character and started this one. :) |

In an old corp of mine we got bored of chasing down our wartargets, so went into low sec for a change to see what we could find. When one pilot in the corp I shall only call Dax gets into a fight with a pirate at a belt... we go in to assist... more pirates show up and ends up in a fleet battle of which we were out numbered... the only person in our corp to get out was this Dax despite the pirates desperatly trying to catch and kill him. |

Probably worst ever though was a 3b tengu fit that was just pure tank for 10/10 plexes. Not in a null alliance so had no support or intell. Was scanning and tanking with the tengu and bringing an sb in for dps.
Actually worked ok for a whilekept having to replace the sb though and i eventually sobered up long enough to realise that having a ship like that in 0.0 was gonna end in tears.
I even had t1 rocket launchers on it cause i decided to refit it to take the frigs out and there wasn't much else for sale in the area.
So, 3b, t1 rocket tengu in null thats gotta be a contender, no?

While part of a draaaaake fleet roaming back in the old days, we were chased by Darkside. Into a PL fleet. I got seperated as the fleet I was in disintegrated - so I am sitting at this planet, the only guy not in Darkside on grid. Fortunately, I was a bit off, and had ECM drones - they didn't get me. I warp to the gate - and PL fleet is sitting on gate, with bubbles. I break my fingers hitting MWD and aligning to different gate, just manage to get out... and land on gate next to Darkside Fleet. I jump. They jump. I burn like hell back to the gate while my drake is melting into armor. I jump... and PL Fleet is on the gate. I align to another out gate, and manage to warp off to bookmark off gate. I think I'm good. Inties begin warping around me. I warp to another gate, jump, and keep running - and cross jump Darkside again.
The drake survived. I had to replace my chair. |

I was in a gang with a friend from a different corporation when somebody warped in and ganked her. 
I went chasing after the rogue with all guns blazing, followed him into hyperspace to a nearby station, relocked and was promptly wasted by the Concorde turrets. Doh!

I had been mining in a Hulk for just a few days, and was a carebear at the time, not understanding agression. Had a guy in a rifter can flip me, so I figured I would let my drones chew on him while I waited for concord to show up....
They never came. That was an expensive mistake. |

back in 2004 in lowsec I was jumping some stuff a few jumps in my Badger II, I got attacked by a Battleship from about 200km afar (he only hit with his criticals I mean "wrecking shots") took him 3-4 shots to kill me: Stupidest because: Instead of just warping away I tried to fly the 15km to gate, most of his shots missed anyway but he got me 1000m from jumping range.
Lost quite a bit of money that day because I didn't think of warping away ;) |

I spent a month building 10,000 condors, 14 hours moving them to a POS with a rorqual and ejecting them into space, then blew up them with a manticore. Dotlan registered it as 20,000 kills due to the wrecks. I still think this is the largest number of kills in any one system in Eve history. This was done in DBRN a few months ago. |

Sucks that your computer was seriously flawed. Don't blame CQ, your GPU wasn't getting enough cooling. Honestly, I'm amazed how people can put blame on CCP for this. I stress test every comp I build for 12+ hours to make sure it's stable, and CQ comes nowhere close to stressing your gpu as a stress test does.
As for stupid things I've done... lets see. I logged out to avoid a 50+ roaming frgate fleet with my 3 accounts in nullesc, 2 domis and a drake. But then I logged on 10 minutes later because I was drunk and was only 1 jump from my destination. Got bubbled, lost it all and got podded on all 3 accounts.... ya that was awesome.
I should've just passed out and finished my trip in the moring, but instead I lost 500+ million isk.

I frankly run CQ and Eve in High with only a G-card and it has a built on fan Mine hasnt died yet and im on eve alot. And stress testing my computer has proved very good results. =) yey for new Gen-Tech-Durability.
My Worst situation was recruiting my RL friend to play eve and run his corp when he goes awol for 5 months after spend 400$ for PLEX's after running his corp to better standings. (he wanted a POS and was making me do all the work even though he was capable of doing it too). So I dropped from his corp and am waiting for him to give up paying for the game if he wont play. (he too complains about CQ -but keeps sayin his computer is better built then mine )

Long, long time ago, when I was a pilot in ASCN and we fought against BoB 1.0 I decided an AFK-travel to highsec in a shuttle. So I renamed my winged little coffin to "I don't care", set the route through the war-zone and let the autopilot move me. After a working day when I arrived at home I logged in, ready to buy a new clone, and it was a huge astonishment to see my shuttle intact and my poor clone alive in the hisec system, my destination. Made it through bubbles, gatecamps. :)
Still I have that shuttle with the same name in the same system. |

Well the wiedest thing I have ever done was. When I was mining ore in high sec I was playing with my D-scan and saw an orca unmaned. I thought it was wierd so I move my miners to my Pos and got in a cloaked ship and started hitting the other belts. Low and behold I fine a miner mining in a hulk next to an unmaned orca. This guy fly out here in the orca launches his hulk gets out of orca in to hulk and starts to mine. Funnest dam thing I have ever seen. So I fly back to my POS after bookmarking the positon of orca leave my ship wait 20 sec then warp to the orca. I get there an able to get into orca and fly away with it. took it one jump dock it. And had to tell everyone. But wait it get better the next day the dumass is doing it again and again I steal the orca for him LOL greats two days in EVE so far. |

My Stupid thing was back in the days with NFC (Northern freedom coalition) an alliance Lasted all of 5 minutes, IRON and D2 previously G alliance. They were fighting over 3jn in decklien, NFC ala me and others were trying to hold the system.
For some strange reason i thought training Achoring Lvl 5 was a step in the right direction of pvp uberness back then, and because of that landed up until this day that was the right to anchor warp bubbles. The trouble is despite FC's saying it very clearly i could never keep my chat channel out of local.
Anyway with local full of enemy pilots (Inlcucind Bob - i recall crystal was leading the bob offensive) i preceeded to give a report of the exact location of all the bubbles in the system to eveyone in local instead of fleet chat. Needlees to say i was riddiculed relentleesly in local and given a damm good dressing down on TS in a manner that was fully deserved The FC took what seemed to me to be ages to decide whether i should be podded or not.
I wasn't podded, by the FC. although i lost a lot at that time...

I was in my newly aquired "invincible" brutix. Red flashy "megathron" warps into my belt. I begin to shoot and release drones. Battle lasts for a few minutes, he pops as I enter hull.
I'm thrilled and shaking. can hardly dial the numbers. 1st friend thinks I'm awesome for killing a bs in my 3 week old char.
2nd friend points out that the megathron was actually a rifter.. they both had the dual hull thing at the front

Probably the ballsiest/stupid thing was a suicide run to a station into the Great Wildlands (back when i couldn't afford losing it), which was overrun by Unthinkables. I was able to get into the station, but on my way back i was followed by a Sabre and a Cane for about 6-7 jumps.
Right before entering low-sec, the Sabre bubbled me...
I was saved by fitting warp cores, but I shot back at the Sabre first, so i couldn't jump into low-sec right away.
It was nerve wrecking to wait for that timer to run out. |

Hosted eve's 1st and only game of 3d ship snooker using 100mn fleet stabbers as the cues.
Warped on top of miners in an orca to drop 80 shuttles on them with the intentions of making them crash if they have **** pc's, worked a few times then i got told off by ccp :P
I've done tonnes more but i have a raging headache atm so remembering hurts >_< |

When I was younger, I went mining into lowsec in an Osprey. Wow! Big rocks! Nice ... and no one around too.
Eh what is that ship that just warped in? Oh it's just a cruiser (don't remember which) in the belt. I went blissfully back to concentrating on the rocks.
Amazingly, nothing happened (he probably thought I was bait) ... so I thought, hmm ... lowsec isn't so bad at all, I might get used to this.
End of story, I got back safely to station.
My Osprey didn't blow up

Was there, heard the gates got locked down. got pissed... fitted an geddon with smart bombs and jumped into Perimeter got 5001m off the gate and started pulsing, got 6 SB's going and my client froze. On TS still heard blue's going nutts that it was still going.. Police arrived in about 10seconds. Offcourse you can understand that was an instant -10 standing. Took me alot of rats to get back to -1.9 sec standing.

Dummest: putting up an hauling contract to the corp to move my **** from one 0.0 system to another 0.0 a billion lightyears away.. offcourse i lost it all to an alt of someone. Was about 1.6 billion + BPC/BPO's.

Sent a fleet worth over 20 billion into an OTA with only 1 logi because someone leroyed the gate before the other logi (who dc'd on the gate) had L'd up in fleet chat.
...and no one lost a ship...did the whole site with just 1 logi |

Tonite I was doing a DED site in low sec. I'd been playing with my overview settings earlier today. Somehow I'd managed to untick player ships. I was diligently d-scanning while running the site, keeping a eye out for any enemies. Suddenly I see a drake and I'm like - hmmmm since when do enemies use drake models. Turns out it's another pirate. The room aggro + drake kills me.
Stupidest mistake ever. Also somehow unticked show probes.

i was 30 + some odd jumps from "home" out exploring and didn't want to fly all the way back so I uncloaked my SB and threw a volley at a strategic cruiser.
I was back home in about 8 seconds including station load time.

I barely escaped a WH with my life once, having flown into one in a T1 frig to see what it was, realized I'd forgotten my 4 probes in space and went back.
Needless to say, the probes were not recovered.
Oh, and I pulled GCC at a gate in my jag. That didn't go well.
Oh yeah, and I melted everything the first time I tried overheating in combat. Long before I was even damaged my guns were destroyed.
I doubt I could count the amount of stupid **** I've done, or keep doing.... |

Dunno if this is ballsy or dumb, but I decided it was ballsy.
As was my wont up until a few months ago, I was sitting on the Hek undock (yes, reading this thread a lot of bad **** goes down in Hek) swearing at the locals until someone grabbed my can. I saw a damnation flashing red and consulted various sources as to whether my proteus could kill this damnation. They said yes, due to small DPS giving me enough time to redock against my gigantic buffer, so I engaged. The damnation pilot started with smacktalk that became less and less frequent as his armor dropped to 20%, then 10%, then 5%, while his frigate-sized missiles only got mine to 35%. The reason for his silence suddenly became apparent to me as three repair battleships dropped out of nowhere and started repping the bastard. I was forced to dock up. I was ten minutes in to my aggro expiring, then I thought "Maybe I could kill one of those RR battleships before I have to redock."
So, I undocked and commenced firing on one repair geddon. His compatriot was nowhere to be seen, and the damnation pilot had also made himself scarce. I was having fun, and had him at 50% armor when he docked. For ten seconds, I sat there doing nothing. Then I saw the vagabond speeding towards me at 4km/s, 50km away from me. I realised **** was going down, so I did what every station brawler does and desperately tried to get on top of the station to prevent being bumped away.
As I climbed the sides of the station, more flashy red things appeared on my overview. Two more. A vindicator and a bhaalgorn. In my haste, I realised my drones were still out from fighting the geddon, and they automatically engaged the vindi pilot, who had until recently been flying a damnation. I quickly got the wee flying bastards to get back in my drone bay (ungrateful *******) and set about determinedly spamming "fly upwards" to prevent myself from being bumped off the safety of the undock. Then, the two battleships opened fire and, safe to say, I was shitting my pants. at 5% armor with a 3% structure bleed, I finally managed to dock up, having shaken off the relentless bumping of the vagabond.
All I have to say is "thank **** it wasn't a machariel".
Weirdest thing:
Me and some mates were setting up a wormhole POS. We had an orca full of POS parts, and all the rest of us had jumped inside the wormhole and were awaiting the orca's arrival. As it warped to the hole, one idiot in a raven suddenly shouted "****, I forgot torps!" and jumped out of the hole. It collapsed.We had one scanner frigate left, who promptly scanned us an exit, deep in lowsec space. We decided, for some ******* stupid reason, to get the orca pilot to fly through low to this new wormhole.Three jumps into the journey, he was locked, webbed, scrammed and generally ****** from moving by pirates. Long story short, they accepted his ransom and let him go. He arrived at the wormhole safely.
I didn't know you got pirates who still honoured ransoms these days, but there you go. |

Flew Omens to tag along in level 4 missions when I first got started. Got me used to losing ships and not caring, which is useful these days.

Stupidest (recently anyway): I was afk reading forums and waiting out GCC in a safespot and tabbed back to EVE when I heard missile explosions and turret fire. I had been probed out by a gang of ~5-6. They had a Curse, Arazu, Drake, and 2 Hurricanes and maybe a Brutix, I dont remember. I was in a shield/720mm cane. They were off me by about 40km and the Arazu had point on me but I was able to OL and burn out of range before I was scrammed. After making a whole bunch of noise in Vent I had a few corpmates in BC's help me out and we bagged the Curse and scared the rest off with me still intact |

Not sure how its possible so many people think a game can break their video card. Either the card already had a problem or you do not have adequate cooling. There is literally no way any program can break a modern video card.

Took on a goon fleet solo in a Geddon.
It gets better. I had just fitted it for an emergency Logi run. All the high slots had remote shield reps on and it had 5 large shield rep drones so when I locked a guy I was repairing his shield asking myself what the hell I was thinking.
I'm sure I did alot of stuff in my earlier days that I never knew I wasn't supposed to do. My first loot was a daredevil and it went pretty much everywhere. I tried docking at BoB stations, used to fly to belts to look for loot. Yea, I'd go 15 jumps in to null and come back with a really cool Meta 4 thinking I was the cat's meow for finding the loot. If I couldn't fit it, I left it. I'm sure I don't even want to know how much stuff I left behind for that 800K Lazor gun. |

Not really very stupid, but a bad decision: I decided that rather than bother to exert the tiny effort to pick up a shuttle to travel a few jumps to get a new ship I'd bought in another system, I would just go the short distance in my pod. The route was entirely in hisec. What could go wrong?
As I warped to gate, someone else was there being suicide ganked. The gankers were also using smartbombs. Guess who came out of warp right next to the smartbombing ship just as it went off?
At least my implants were cheap ones... |

When you die your ship gets blown to tiny, burning pieces. There's no "corpse run", no "respawn". You're dead. That's it. You just lost everything you were flying, perhaps even your body. Worse still you may have lost the space you controlled or resources you were gathering.-áTake that away and EVE is no longer EVE. TL;DR: Fix war decs. |
