lol 1 fleet guarding the gate and 1 fleet running the mission?
how much money do you think 5's pay? if you even have to split them 5 ways you'd be better off soloing 4's. that's the whole issue with level 5's. they don't pay enough to be worth doing in a fleet and they're impossible to do solo because any ship that can solo them is gonna get ****d by pirates
if moving out into the "real" world of eve means getting a supercarrier and doing 5's in it then i dont' know what to tell you. that sounds ******ed to me

And that's the rub brother. It's even possable that the new Incurrsions mite end up in the same boat as well. New people will try after a spell it will cool back off becouse the ship loses probly will not be worth the reward. And the only people that will end up doing them mite be the pirats. And I always think thats awsome to have pirats doing pve

My only wish in this game is to be able to "Play" and have "Fun" doing what i like in the game, and for me is runing missions with risk vs reward acceptable.
Atm lvl5 are not interesting for me, wy? Risk vs reward unacceptable. It's my opionion and I don't care a single sec about those pirate/deviant/masochist tears and coments.
I just don't do them and never do them. While those scums are waisting their time probing some fools in low/null i'm running more lvl4 alone than your fleet is able to run a single lvl5. Thanks to scum, instead of taking some risk i'm taking any.
Go ahead keep asking more for scum, take lvl4 to low and 3 too, i don't care, realy. ________________________________________________

One wonders how CCP can fail for years to get it working properly. I mean how difficult can it be to check if the selected system has a security rating of 0.5 or higher and simply start another selection if it has (and then checking again, etc).
Pathetic...

To do this they should start by fixing players base attitude with rules.

I agree, I've wanted to try L4's for the longest time, but i don't want to risk a super-expensive ship for marginal awards. This just makes me want to grind out l4's even more now :(

Well the patch note's say that no level 5's should ever hit high sec now. Any one do any testing on this after the latest Incursion patch?

I was so happy seeing that patch note. I was so happy because now the 6-9 shuttles that come to roll missions every 4th hour around the clock would stop. (Yes, potentialy thats some sort of macro lvl5 farming going on. missions are to predictable to not be macroable.) I even try to roll a lvl5 for myself. I get one in hisec on the first roll after patch and I'am like: No!!! and yeah the shuttles are back, none have bothered redoing their face, they just keep going at it. But possibly... somethings happened because this time they dont leave to pickup mission ships in nearby hisec... So maybe its a 1% chance to get hisec mission now? ^^

CCP, while you're at it, could you remove any load balancing code from 0.0 pirate faction agents as the numbers running those are way smaller? :D ----------

Does this mean, on the side note that they posted, that lvl 4 missions that start in highsec will be less likely to occur in lowsec or more likely to occur in lowsec? I know that currently with my two lvl 4 mission givers, out of 10 missions they will send me to low sec for at least 7 of them.

I have this novel idea for you. How about CCP changes all hisec agents to pay lp& mission reward as if all agents were in a 1.0 system.
OR
You move to a system with agents not bordering close to lowsec, likely giving higher rewards for being close to dangerous space.

I fly the same system as Vim, and I haven't had a hisec offer since the patch, but it is early days yet.
BTW Im *not* a macro, but I am selective about which faction I run lowsec level 5s against. So I do tend to check in periodicly every 4 hrs or so until I get the ones I want, in local or nearby losec systems. I used to run some hisec L5s when offered, but now I should get more losec ones to make up for it.
As a player with limited time online each week this suits me well. I run some L4s if I cant get the right L5s.
I also sell LP items to region buy orders only in losec so the merchants have to travel to losec to get the items they paid for, lol.

Now were all done ****ing BS at each other. I omost positive that he was thinking whats good for the goose is good for the gander.
Low sec level 5 mission runners gain greatly from not having to turn down high sec level 5's. For thoughs that run them in Caps.
High sec level 4 mission runners are just asking to gain the same greatness. It do's not take a brain surgen to know that if you are being sent to low sec for missions from high sec your not geting the right rewards for it.
Secondly CCP at lease says they want to spread mission runners out to ease the servers. That can be done for real if they would stop trying to send high sec mission runners to low sec. It's counter productive. It just do's not work. Not counting New players that just dont know better yet. But they learn fast. Yar

I agree with this man if you want to make a mission a lot more risker, with a biger pay out at the end start up some level 6 missions for 0.0-0.4 secs for the 1 year to 2 year players, and keep the pot luck chance level 5 missions, so there is a 50/50 chance that players can have a feel of level 5s for the first time with out looking over there backsall the time.
Originally by: MindRanger I'm about 80% of my time in nullsec pew-pewfng, ratting, etc. The rest of the time I'm in highsec, carebearing for what its worth.
I did a few of those Level 5's in highsec (usually alone), and I found it a very welcome challenge, a diversion, from the regular Level 4's. I don't find them very rewarding, not at all. If I want to make money, I'll stay in nullsec or plow through Level 4's while making dinner. I did those Level 5's more because they are the best carebear challenge you can get in highsec.
What I don't understand is why those Level 5's have to be in lowsec? Makes no sense to me at this point. 3 years ago, yes, the game was different. Now we have more expensive toys, more DPS, more Tank, a more mature and experienced player base. The game has moved on. Keep those Level 5's in empire highsec, and make some new Level 6's for lowsec. Thats my $0.02
Cheers

should be simple really, high sec agents give high sec missions with appropriate rewards. Low sec agents give low sec missions with appropriate rewards. No one can convince me that it is logical for high sec agents to give low sec missions and then turn around and say that low sec agents shouldnt give high sec missions (lvl 5 being the sticking point). if the ccp staff wasnt so busy dealing with all the issues linked to the incursion patches, perhaps they would do a quick check on sub loss and high sec mission activity to see the death spiral that is now in place.

sorry if i didnt read all the replies.. but i think the biggest problem with this is forcing pve ships into a pvp environment.. this would be all well and good if the fits for pve and pvp are the same.. but they are not.. no one will risk a 2-3 billion pve ship in low/null sec especially when that ship isnt set up to fend off other players. its bad enough having an expensive ship in high sec with the risk of suicide gankers
ccp need to think of other ways to entice players into low sec.. like incursions.. which will be based around a different play style and ship fitting type and leave missions in high sec where they belong.. its silly that i progress through the game to the point where lvl 5's become a challenge(and lvl 4's not a challenge).. but then i have to face pvp gankers to do it.. the cost/reward doesnt make sense..

Well all you can see ATM is that low sec crown is comming to high sec doing those but, I'm not sure at all they are going to clean their own if some day there will be incursions in low/null witch I remeber you guys are supposed to be the hardest ones.
All this mess around lvl5 or lvl4 of high sec or low/null sec is a neverending story. The day come if this day ever hapens, that CCP will finaly figure out that combat scan probes are the reason wy so many systems are empty or only with bots, mabe something will be done and this day you gate rats will be able again to find juicy targets like the brained ones have always did.
Now no matter the guy with a tchiken sized brains is able to scan down everything and be on top of it. Has this braught more options to pvp? NO, just easy targets that quickly got away to some relative security in high sec space, now the killmails runners can take their ****ing probes and put them in their ass to get some fun.

ROFL....Low Sec incurssions to date have achieved one thing. You now think all pirates were boy scouts as there are that many "camps" on the gates leading to the incursions.
