Rupicolous Higher Ground	Posted - 2010.11.22 17:34:00 - [1] You have got to be joking ......... - After training several characters ('not specifying exact number) for over 3 months each to lvl 5's across the board for PI - After spending millions on skill books and Command Centers - After using countless hours to create and deploy colony placement and strategy - After training myself to endure the clickfest of extraction You simply 1 expansion later try to turn the extraction into a virtually 1 click affair so that every pilot in eve can produce something on a whim ??? To say i'm dissapointed would be an understatment. ***ed off and outraged would be closer to the true feelings I have developed for this new PI and it has very little to do with anger management.* Please convince me i'm wrong, please tell me the prices are NOT going to plummet along with the profits for the unbelievably strong efforts i've put into PI. There has been 1 other occasion where I felt like cancelling each and every subscription to this game and now ........ i'm truly considering it again.

The whole gad domn idea is to work for something and now due to all the ****in and moanin of "it's too hard", "it takes too long", "my mouse is broken", "i have metacarcpal" etc. CCP has degraded it down to meaning next to absolutly nothing in the large scheme of things.

They are trying to bring people to do PI, I have trained up alts etc and spent loads of isk but I'm not going to rage quit because of this, and yeah prices will go down but thats just like real world things and this game is the best example of a "real world economy". This is also an example of the old saying don't put all your eggs in one basket.... finally like another post said Adapt or die end of discussion!

That aside, I just wanted to say that I am very sorry that your isk/click ratio is going to increase dramatically. I'm upset, dissapointed, angry, dissenchanted, afraid of profits diminishing ......... So I start to imagine all the fun things I can do even easier now because the prices are so low for materials etc. that they are affordable on massive scales of quantity. The only difference is quantity and price. the forementioned going up and the aft going down. Good for noobs, bad for vets - no other issue really. Why doesn't CCP just wack our wallets in half every expansion, would be a great start huh ???

Um so you spend a little up front then guess what it is all profit from there after it doesn't cost you to extract the materials from the planet and produce something like POS fuel, yes there is a "fee" when exporting it from the planet by its still negated by the price you sell it at. It wont drop 90% in value i think up to about 50 maybe depends on if it jump starts more people doing it or not...

I'm actually beside myself trying to figure out where all the rage came from. Guess it was because I put so much into it and then realized it wasn't going to be worth as much. I basically gave up on it months ago because it required hundreds of clicks a day for already minimal profit (compared to say, running missions), and it's not so much all the clicking that did me in, it's how all that clicking is MIND NUMBINGLY BORING. It's fine when you have one or two colonies, but if you have 6 on multiple characters, it's insane. So yeah, bring on extractor hubs and all that jazz. What I don't like is the apparent yield reduction that has come out of it. I haven't tried the latest version, so I can't really comment much. The profit is there and worth it because in comparison to some other forms of income the risk is very little. Sure if your only lvl 4's and 1 char what's the point ......... but if you're "all in" with several alts, producing anything and everything in the chain and then get hit with an INCURSION nurf, the only natural response would be WTF !!!

Like it wasn't enough that they left the NPC goods around long enough for players to buy them up for next to nothing then sell later at 4,5+ times the original amount. Also the devs said months ago, that this clickfest will be recreated, that is what I and I think the most players waiting for to start PI, cause we are not mads to click 8762384726 times a day for ISK like you. Hmm, I do not think that you login through each of your characters every few hours to click-activate the extractors again, or to be a little blunt, I do not think you personally do this part of the PI management that was just worst time-sink imaginable. Most likely you have paid RL money for a bot that logs through your account and characters, restarts the cycles and so on. With the next expansion your PI bot is as useless as the player behind the program and that is the real reason why you are mad. As someone else has already written: Adapt or die.
