No. We're all getting 12 points added to every attribute. Characters with 5/5+5 in learning will be 1.4 attribute points worse off.

Yay, another epic success for Goons in their lasting effort to dumb down EVE to "Hello Kitty Online" levels slowly. Well played, Goonies!  And yes, I do blame you! 
Next expansion we will prolly get perfect trading skills for everyone as well as the trading mechanics in EVE are terribly complicated, right? I mean, two different buttons for selling and buying, the choices, the choices... Outrage! 
And hey, CCP, ever heard of the saying: "Never change a working system"? Used to be popular in the IT branch. But then I guess EVE in current state might not rank as "working system" after all, does it?

I knew it! I guessed one half of the christmas present.
Secondly how is this dumbing down the game?
The learning skills add unneeded depth, it was an extremly concequental skill to train, some of these skills didnt refund thier learnings worth for 2 whole years so with 5 of them thats about 10 years before you saw return on the investment.
Nessecary depth would be like planetary interaction creating customer products which help fuel industries
vs unneeded depth of having npcs simply sell it.
Also only advantage older players have is flexibility and multiple options but they cant be those multiple options when it comes to a situation at a certain time and it may be even working against him at moments.
For example a maxed out barge, freighter, and megathron pilot goes on a mining op as one of the miners, an only maxed out drake pilot comes along and blows him up to peices even though that guy was alot younger than him.

And this is why I cannot support this change. CCP are alienating older players once again.

WoT is almost universally liked here because it's fast consensual pvp at any time of day with little drama. WoW has similiar "nerd relief" thing in form of battlegrounds but less fun than tanks. For tears, complexity, logistics, griefing, survival, and politics there is... EVE.

This is only halfass good to know.
One you will have the mass of idiots who can't really play eve (aka carebear pirates), assembling suicide ganks rapidly to utilize the popular "exploit" -avoiding in game mechanics to loot others is- This will likely discourage new players even more when they lose thier loots and can't afford an implant anyway.
Implants should be a lootable item then, and exchangeable with this change.
-and all you carebear pirate wannabe's don't flame over your exploit. Go have a real fight and shut your hole.

If this was a NGE, they would of removed skills and adding in classes, since it would be "easier" for players.
if you had any skills outside of your class you would have them refunded to place in skills that your class could learn.
actually that's exactly what happen in SWG :P
