EDIT: Since this post keeps popping back-up I just want everyone to know I posted this while in Alcatraz, The Foundation. 
Last night saw a large conflict near the E02-IK system in the great wildlands. Although we suffered greater losses to the larger enemy force in the initial contact, a honourable fight was had by all.
A small raid force remainded behind after our withdrawl with unconfirmed reports of them managing to down some smaller targets including Assult Frigates and a BB.
Although unsure as to how diplomacey broke down, it looks like a new war has broke out for the Great Wildlands region...

I was in this system last night sitting outside the station.It was quite amusing to see pod after pod flying back to station. Within minutes they were back in brand spanking new ships to enter the battle again and again.
Nice to note that even when opposite factions were outside the station they resisted the urge to gank peeps there but waited until they were in the battlefield m-m.
As for who were involved, it was very confusing of who was on who's side but I did pick up on the Kheritsu , if thats how you spell it. They seem to be a growing force in the area. This the new CA ?

CORE (Im not sure about these guys)
MAFI (I know I shot one of these last night, not sure if there in our conflict through)
These are Corps that were hostile to us at some stage last night... PNGU was definatly in the battle as I distintly remember a Tempest pilot who took a dislike to my BB... Poor thing was in serious need of some tlc when I finally nursed it back to a station.
Losses: 5-6 BS
Kills: 2-3 BS
[OC - I'm not sure of final figures as I went to bed after first conflict. Also we didn't count anything lower than BS class... I know we lost at lest 1 BB and 1 Tristan]

This was one problem we encountered! They were a lot closer to home for new ships than we were! But still a very friendly battle if such a thing exists!

Harcole, you guys deserve INCREDIBLE credit for coming on the forums and openly admitting in this battle, you came out worse than your opponent. This is surely a rarity in alliance dealings.
I don't know the politics of the region, as I've never been to GW, nor do I know any of the active corps on either side of the conflict, but you and yours manned up. I salute you.

Within the next 48 hours we aim to have a short announcement about the growing tensions in the Great Wildlands region. Until then all I can say is that it was a spectacular and bloodthirsty battle. Both sides showed exemplary conduct before, during and after the battle. |

From what i know the group of ex FU corps are moving into GWL and gonna call themselves Foundation or somthing, dont know their standings but thatll be a larf.

curious as a stain guerilla in the wildlands as to what is happening, gl to all involved and to the folk i contact with from CA nice peeps even we ganked each other from time to time

gotta love the foundation, they provide us with targets and thats all we want, we dont want you to leave, we want you to keep comming back in new ships all the time so we can shoot at them :-)
and you guys drop good loot, kinda sad to kill you i allways try to keep one alive and chain a spawn but sadly it doesent work :(
but i guess we just have to fight it out :-)

I wont turn this into a flame - just making an observtion. Those of us who play in the EU timeframe see that part of the game and the Foundation - hopefully your emergency talks may prevent the crumble so that you can give us EU players something to shoot at. TBH without foundation we would be bored

However MUUH  did show up.

I think some of the Keiretsue are confused. You ever wonder what group keeps blowing up your ships and your alliance's? Hi my name is Zster, you will be seeing alot of me ;). I work with the Foundation, an alliance set to kill you because of your policies in GW. Just last night we had a group of 15 controlling most of GW. Where was the Keiretsue? Asleep I guess, getting ready for the next day. 2 groups are battling for GW at the moment, try not to forget =).

... and no doubt you also were asleep during the massive fleet battle in E02 between our two factions in which your friends were totally outclassed... where were you then?
Dont worry friend, we have many friends that are ready to come and disrupt your night time candle lit mining sessions - and I guarantee it will not take much before your GW experience resembles that of your European team mates - running out of oxygen fast. |
