Heck Yes!
Make sure that this precious fitting information is sent to your client, so people who tweak the python or run Inner Space can see how everyone in local is fit! Not that our DDOS friends PL would never use this to help call targets or anything!

I think it would be better for the game if each ship had its own hull (i.e. interceptors no longer borrow from the t1 models). Also, all high-slot items should have a model.
It would just make the game more immersive and fun.
Duh, might I add.

I agree there should be models on the highslots a few extra polygons on the models will not hurt anyone. After all its 2010 graphic cards are times and times stronger than what they used to be when the game just came out! At the moment there is no real reason for this missing feature.

and people look just like forum avatar pictures irl too, you control a spaceship with mouse clicks in space around you and with around 5 keyboard buttons irl too and you never die you can clone forever irl too(ok, not yet at least :)...soo...news flash!...its a science fiction video game not based on reality and adapted to boost its game play mechanics and game performance while sacrificing the reality of it. and...who cares?
on the topic...i wish they would remove the current being to able to see turrets (ok,tanks and gadget visuals can stay since you can tactically turn those on and off whenever you like) since it kills the surprise factor...so no, your way of seeing what your up against would be ghey imo and kill alot of pvp fun. when seeing you will pradictably know what is his fit, if you dont we would keep the "omfg that beetch has heavy neuts fitted ruuun" factor which imo makes the gameplay much less dull.

Consider the Hound. Consisting of three battleship torp launchers, with added lengths of scaffolding and solar panels.
One should be able to at least notice humongous launchers of some kind on such a small frigate. It's like they don't physically exist, just on paper.
That said, superglue three matchboxes together at 120 degree angles and glue a match at the front. The 'realistic' looking hound would be every bit as daft, although certain installation artists might get a kick out of it.

Edited by: bornaa on 16/12/2010 19:23:58 Edited by: bornaa on 16/12/2010 19:23:26 why suffer so much on realism if it affects the visuals, mechanics and gameplay? its a fictional world with fictional realism, as silly as it sounds. did you ever play a fantasy game? you couldnt get into it since elves or somethin dont really exist, rite?
first of all how does a module, that costs about a mil do proportional effects on a lets say small frig, or a ship 1000 times its size? that would seem to me like fitting a rc toy truck motor onto a mack. that a lets say cap recharger that costs half mil can manage and handle the cap to power a titan, but the same can also be crammed onto a frig...we can jibberish about the technology all we want, but its all just fiction
http://www.gamerdna.com/uimage/ekK15AWo/large/eve-online-ship-size-comparison-chart.jpg
those tiny invisible dots are frigs, ye? hmm...maybe its a wrong game to search for realism...especially since most of the game is science fiction.
i agree that its gay that you can see the turrets but not see launchers and it does give the edge to some players over others, so that should be fixed by imo keeping it hardcore and unexpectable and not be able to see any fitting parts except the active ones.

I mean your problem is easy to solve brother, just dont use camera and fly blind and each fight will be the way you want it...unpredictibel. But i want the mising models and seems many more share my opinion......
