No worries guys and gals. We are going to get our fix of eve soon. Just bought a 2 run -1ME/0PE Rhea BPC, so gonna have a busy time making reactions for all this. It's gonna take aeons, so a few hours more waiting won't make much of a difference

Dear ccp,
It is better to tell the player there will be 8 hour down time and get done early than say 5 hour downtime and delay it 20 times before its done. Especially when, no offense, you always screw something up in the patching process and almost always delay anyway.
Saying "Hey look we said 8 hours but we finished in 6 woo" Make people like you, and they can patch and play and all is well as long as they arnt missing boot.ini, but that would never happen, right?

So it will take a lot of more to fix again :) but one thing is nice in this patch, we have an CCP Dev telling us what is going on. So I can plan my day without EVE for today. Thx

What they should do is confirm an opening time at least 3 hours longer than what they actually expect. Worst case then is they get to brag about how effective they are when the servers come up an hour early rather than 2 hours late. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

1) how does 30mins go from 15:00 to 16:00?
Not sure if I missed something or if someone can't do simple math.
2) For everyone who is complaining; As a programmer for an outsourcing company it takes us weeks to fix small issues and considering they are writing a whole new update for this fix and implementing it in under 30mins... you people should be giving the GM's a BJ in the back all for this.

I know that everyone knows how to use a search engine.. such as google or yahoo, just type in utc time and it shows you a GREAT BIG CLOCK with the current utc time on it, then just switch back and forth between that window and this one and you'll be able to keep track of it just fine and still type more and more posts in this one
