Update 14:49 UTC: Deployment for EVE Online: Incursion 1.0.1 has been delayed by 30 minutes due to a minor issue found during dryruns which may require a client update to be built and tested. We are looking to bring Tranquility up at 16:00 UTC. - Adida
So is this like 8am US PST?
just look at the time of this post and figure from there when the game will start back up or google gmt time and you will get the time...geewiz beaver |

Allright, I'll give you a tip - if you're using Windows 7.
Right click on the Clock at the bottom right. Select Adjust Time/Date.
Go to the Additional Clocks tab. Select the time zone "(UTC) Universal Coordinated Time".
With this set - every time you LEFT click on the clock in the future it will display two clocks. The one for your area, and the one for "Computer Time" - also known as UTC. The EVE servers, as the name suggests, runs off UTC.

This is as bad as xmas morning, when you already know what your present is going to be, but your parents still made you wait to open it until "Santa arrived!" I am just drooling with anticipation over the 2.8million SP I get to allocate.... Santa better get his fat arse down the chimney soon!

If EVE teaches something is patience! why are you all such cry-babies? What if they update it in 5 hours? I personally prefer a working update than any update! Keep up the good work CCP!
PS: Now get us back online

Having personally done hundreds of similar updates of live services over these many years for calling card servicers, I know how pain can sometimes come to the play.
Customers don't want the excuse. They think it is just a simple thing to uploading the softwares.
Many are the days when I wished I were no more than the clueless customer, not having the worries for the processes.
I will be going to the retirement soon, and I must say, I will not miss the environments of the stress and abuses that we programmers and techinicals face with every new load of softwares at the hands of ignorants customers.
The working you provide are good. Let the mobs scream. You do your jobs well and are in appreciation of many around us who are knowing what it is you do.
Merci

Edited by: DrGreenthumb UnceUnce on 15/12/2010 15:10:50 There is a scene in the movie "Air Fore One", (you know the one Harrison Ford played in) where after assuming control on the airplane the russians (or rebels whatever) think he has escaped the plane in the escape pod, the commander of the russians/rebels/whatever just lets out this series of epic fits of rage that can be compared to William Shatner's Khan line from Star Trek 2. Yeah im guessing thats just about how everyone is right about now.

2) For everyone who is complaining; As a programmer for an outsourcing company it takes us weeks to fix small issues and considering they are writing a whole new update for this fix and implementing it in under 30mins... you people should be giving the GM's a BJ in the back all for this.
Boo waji, the original patch time should of ended at 15:30 not 15:00 there is your 30 minutes

Ya know CCP as other have mentioned already, and as critical as I feel at times about your follow through, I have got to say your efforts to keep the community informed, up to date with current events, even when they are not what we want to hear, are very much appreciated. I have found myself checking the Incursion site often and watching the video updates, and keeping an eye on the dev blogs much more than I used to.
So for what it is worth your efforts are not going unnoticed. And I like many others am anxiously waiting for the skill point reimbursement, and the January patch. And oh by the wayàNO more 24 hours notices one day before the announced release date! Very disturbing!
Keep up the good effort folks and thank youà.o7

Originally by: CCP Navigator Tranquility has now been up in testing mode for about 90 minutes. A minor issue has been uncovered which will require a client update to be deployed before startup. Creating and testing the client update will require an extension of downtime by 30 minutes so updated ETA for TQ open is 16:00 UTC.
ok, I'm sorry... I live in the u.s.a...BUT WTF IS UTC mean ? Can I get a; "it will be back online at 08:00 a.m. PST" ...or something !?

UTC is the same as GMT.
Eastern Standard (US East) is -5 hours Central Standard (US Central) is -6 hours Mountain time (US Central West) is -7 hours Pacific Standard (Us West) is -8 hours
Thus:
Eastern: 11:00 Central: 10:00 Mountain: 9:00 Pacific: 8:00

insert something hard you know where. please believe in the developers of CCP. it's amazing they need only 30 minutes to build a new patch and apply it while adding another large patch to the game.

That wouldn't be the case unless you had an insufficient/nearly insufficient clone to begin with, would it?
