Since the roid fields are packed with an overwhelming majority of macs, and hulks are a rare sight, perhaps it's time to rebirth the event under a new fitting name?

Yep, I lost my Mack last night mining in a 0.5 system. Mine had a 26K EHP tank....two catalysts took it down easy.
I was at the keyboard. Still though it was my fault....I saw the combat probes on scan, but just didn't think they were after me.
Shrug, I think I'll just use a retriever from now on there. |

they prob wouldn't even be doing it if they weren't awful at pvp. Real pvpers prefer a challenge and people who actually would feel defeated when they die. Unfortunate that they are so rare in EVE. |

True. The Goons are done with the new barge changes. They apparently do not want to spend the epic amounts of ISK it will now take to kill a Skiff.
Plus, it's not very impressive killing a ship that can't fight back. |

Indeed! Which is why I will be joining Hulkageddon (or whatever) next time it comes around, since it is (at least supposedly) a challange to kill the new mining barges! See, the buff was actually a stealth nerf to mining.

shhh....don't let them know that....most gankers believe that a miner is totally impervious to damage if you fit even just a small shield booster, it makes them quake in fear and sprout "Ganker Tears" (best tears, really).
Don't let them know it doesn't matter if you tank or not.
(PS for all those people that post the "How Not to be Ganked" ideas, This guy needs advice on that https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1786595#post1786595
Tell him those ideas work 100 fold more in null sec than in hi sec. )

The best one I've seen so far is "Mackarena", because it contains both the words 'mack' and 'arena', and together sounds like that awful song/dance from the 90s that makes me cringe just thinking about it.
