I had this whole big open letter planned out, but actually, it's not only not neccessary, but it would detract from the point I'm about to make.
After asking about the race-locked art assets via petition, I got this response:
Indeed some character options are limited to certain races or bloodlines, and are not available for other bloodlines or races then. However, these restrictions are intended.
I think this is completely unfair. So I'm going to leave EVE Online. You can't have my stuff.

in every mmo i've ever seen each race/class had its own custom clothing/gear that was exclusive to that class.
you must be very new to gaming to be surprised by such a universal game standard.
also clothing doesn't affect anything in this game, so to ragequit over not being able to wear all the same shirts as all the other characters is immature at best, completely mental at worst.

Take care Andreus, this is frustrating for many folks as it is very unpolished. Don't do anything rash like biomassing yourself. Take a break and come back in a few months and see if things are better for you :)

Since my subscription doesn't actually run out until March, I guess I might as well actually respond to the one constructive response I got, especially given that the thread is full of "Herp derp, you're stupid for not continuing to pay money for a game you're not satisfied with!" :)

Sure, its foolish to pay money for something that you're not satisfied with.
No reasonable person would fault you on that point, for sure.
We're just questioning your stated reason for not being happy with it. I'm sure your opinions on the matter are strong, and genuinely held, and therefore it wouldn't be a good desicion to continue paying for the game. However, you have picked as your reason, just about the most superficial "problem" to be dis-satisfied with.
It would be like giving up chess because someone wanted you to play on a red/white board instead of a black/white one. Fine, give up if you want, but dont come on the forums with some pathetic justification, and then expect people to be sympathetic; either HTFU or leave quietly.

If I'm not allowed to change bloodline (I'm Vherokior) I'm definitely leaving too. I don't accept CCP's rude enforcing of a totallty new, different look that I would never have picked in the frist place.
I didn't pick the old look for the bloodline, that bloodline just happened to have that look. Now I'm stuck with the bloodline but the possibility to have that certain look is gone.
I can't relate to my character anymore, it takes a way a lot of the fun for me, especially as I see people with characters that do look like how I'd want to look. It's very frustrating.
My account expires in 2 months. And sorry, I already have people who get my stuff if nothing changes.

I've played about 11 MMOs and not one of them did not have race restrictions, their appearance and what they could do. 2 of those games this one and 1 other did not have what they could do as a restriction.
So I take you are giving up MMOs and all single player games where you have more than one race?

A lot of people in this thread aren't understanding why Andreus is upset. He's not upset that you can't change bloodlines. He's upset that one bloodline gets a certain resource like a shirt or a jacket and the other doesn't get access to the same.
That's why he's upset. In my opinion, rightly so. It's fair to an extent but CCP gave us so little to work with so it's really over the line.

How on earth did Eve win a community award with repeated replies like these? If only this thread was an exception.
OP, I hear your frustration, but in my own humble opinion, would seem a minor detail to be quitting over. Is this the last straw of a much bigger and longer term collection of issues? Perhaps its time to take a break, and have a think about what brought you to Eve in the first place. Don't biomass anything. Just go do something else for a while, and stick your head back round the door in a few weeks or months time. I did, for a year. Helped me get RL sorted, and re-evaluate what I wanted from the game rather than what other people told me I had to do to have fun.
If it is just the character creator content, remember its in its infancy, and more content will follow later. I understand that potentially in game player manufacturer items could come in to play, making this a mute issue.
Good luck with whatever you choose.
