I got it that sleepers now neut.
I got it that wormholes can no longer be moved (am saddened by this, tho).
I got it that wormholes are now solid as well (can't go thru them to get at targets/wrecks/corpses).
I also got it that random wormholes leading to my system can occur at any time.
However, there are some strange happenings occurring since Incursion 1.1.0.
Twice in the past 4 days, I have witnessed a wormhole despawning on the hisec side whilst remaining on the w-space side. Both times there was a picket stationed inside within 90km of the wormhole. (bug report submitted)
Then, last night, after our static D845 collapsed (on the hisec side, inside remained tho no jumps were allowed) a new D845 spawned at 1830 eve-time (21 Jan). Within 45 minutes, there were ANOTHER three D845 spawns, all of them funtional, leading to different parts of EVE as per normal.
15 minutes prior to today's downtime, I had checked the stability of all 4 wormholes; all were mass and time stable. I log in at 1135(ish) after DT, warp to each of the wormholes, and the three additional D845's had suddenly despawned over DT.
Has anyone else witnessed behavior like this? Or, any other strange behavior?

I had the same, I had a cloaked scout sitting 70km off a dying WH for about 3 hours, when my hauler arrived at the other side there was no WH, I warped my Scout to a planet and back and the WH was gone.

Just to give a bit more info about D845 not despawning correctly....
I wasn't on picket, 'twas a corpmate. However, I had decided to drop a probe to see what had changed in past hour or so in my C3. When my scanned finished I noted that the hisec sig had changed, so I announced that to corp. My mate replied he was sitting there looking at what I said had despawned (according to my probe). I scanned the new sig and confirmed that it was a new D845. I then warped back to the old exit, and yep.....there it was just like my mate said.
I wonder now, since the wormhole change, if being on grid at collapse time has an affect on proper despawning.

Being on grid has always seemed to have an effect, I just thought it might actually be prolonging an eol hole rather than only on 1 side. Sat there a few times for alts/corpies if they're making a highsec crossing and we don't know when it went eol. |

That's strange indeed. I've watched many wh die on the grid, but I don't know that witnessing happened simultaneously, thanks for sharing! Best regards, Apollo Gabriel

One of the lessons I took to heart from you, Daneel, was to establish a picket at each and every wormhole in system; I've been doing this consistently now for the past 9 months or so. While I tend to agree with your statement that it seems to prolong EOL up to an extra hour or so, up until Incursion 1.1.0, it has never (from what I've witnessed over numerous picket duties) affected the actual despawning of a wormhole. I've always rather enjoyed the wormhole sucking into itself....to include the sound it made . However, the past 4 days hasn't been the case. Now I am wondering if being on grid prevents the despawning of a wormhole. Will need to test more....
And of course, none of this explains the sudden appearance of 3 extra D845's over 45 minutes....which then all despawn over DT.
The original D845 is scheduled to collapse in another 80 minutes.....will try to observe, if I can stay awake that long hehe.

Similar happenings with our static B274 two days ago-the old one persisted despite not being able to be jumped through. Seven new ones spawned for a total of 9(!!!!!!!!!!!!) wormholes in system. We massed out a few and new ones came back to take their place. Downtime fixed it. My bug report was too late :/

same here, on patch day i got lots of bug on collapsed wh, which wouldn't be removed of the grid until a warpout. trying to jump indicate the wh don't exist anymore, but it don't want to be removed. i have also the same issues with multiples spawn, a non-static high spawn at the exact same minute i renewed my static. i tried to kill it a few time, but respawn 3 times, after what i stopped trying. last time i cheched things were clean, but didn't looked at collapse since. ---------------- ** Wormhole Trading ** |

Sure enough, I was on grid about 90k off the old D845, and a probe on grid with me as well for the screen shots I took. Sig disappeared, with a new one appearing on scanner, whilst the wormhole persisted. I took several screen shots with comments in the chat. The wormhole despawned when I warped to an off-grid tac and back. And, guess what??? Less than 5 minutes later, 2 additional wormholes spawned as well.
This does not seem to be normal behavior as I know it.
I will upload screenies later and edit the links in here after I've gotten some sleep.

I get the feeling that the life time of wh's have been changed
I got a C247, should last for 16 hours, EOL thus 4 hours. I'm staring at the damn thing for 6 hours now (timed the discovery). Warpin out of grid several times. Yesterday i waited for an extra 4 hours for a C247 to pop.
Anyone else got the same experience? |

EDIT: the same C247 renewed after DT. Figure that...
We've had that happen today. Moving each and everyone away from the grid dissolved the old hole. Instead we got 7 replacements for the D845 that collapsed. Yes, folks, you're reading right 7. You think that is bad? Well, try to imagine them respawning instantly somewhere else, even if you manually collapse them... We can only hope for DT solving this little issue...

Edited by: Poeser Rufus on 24/01/2011 01:46:35 sounds like a great way to make yourself a battleground... having 7 highsec holes towards a prepared system sounds fun... if that numbers keep increasing untill ccp resolves that issue(?) i shall get my bombers out again.

I can also confirm that J151242 had six K346 nullsec statics spawn day of patch, about 4 hours before the 1.1.1 patch.
The long downtime of the 1.1.1 patching killed them. But since then we have also discovered wormholes which despawn from the system anom list, leaving me stranded 55 jumps in null. But then it reappeared when I relogged 8 hours later, so I don't know if it was my client or not (?).
We've also begun to be a bit suspicious of our wormhole's mass, as it is increasingly harder to predict the correct mass for collapse. Like, 500Kt worth of mass when critical, on a K346 (should be 300Kt). I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has experienced similarly bad mass behaviour.
I'm kind of annoyed, because even with the HIC trick for security, rubbery mass wormholes like that are a layer of risk which just isn't worth it.
Getting rid of movable wormholes was cheap and pointless for CCP to do - bouncing off them is ridiculous and silly. The least they could have done was allowed you to add the cosmic anomaly to overview so you can avoid getting decloaked by the damn thing. But no.
Still, I'll take 6 K346's every day, that would be awesome.

In our static C3 last night we scanned down a total of 12 (yes twelve) D845 highsec exits. There were four of us and we each ended up warping to 4 holes and jumped through all of them into various parts of Empire. Something is most definitely screwy since the patch.

1. We had 6! statics V911 2. While closing them, one newly opened has collapsed after a carrier passed one way! Which cannot be.
And 1st and 2nd level GMs both said it all is OK, which again make me think many GMs are less competent, than a skilled palyer.

Confirming.
We had our static stay open way past its expected lifetime. Picket decided to try and jump through and the hole wouldn't accept the jump as it was already closed just still on grid. Additionally in both our wormholes we had multiple statics spawn in. 3 in our c1 and 4 in our c3. While I can accept random days of increased traffic I cant see how both holes would suffer a spike in the same type of wormhole spawned except as a bug. From what I've noticed though it appears to be the result of something being on grid. Even though our old static is on grid it is already off scan and a new sig has replaced it. Doesn't seem to be a major problem though as our corp goes off a corp email of wormhole spawn times for wormholes, just more of a new quirk and a loss of the joy of watching a hole vaporize after picket duty.

I have.
Before the patches I was very good at estimating mass and collapsing them. 50% and 90% points came like clockwork. Now things can vary quit a bit. I knew from before that WH mass could be like +/- 10%, and that was fine, but this goes beyond that. It's almost as if the mass-counters aren't in sync with the animations and description changes for 50% and 90% mass. 50% can come early and 90% comess late, or vice-versa and not within predicatbale mass limits.
I'm actually ok with it as I can compensate for less-predictable holes. If it causes the day-trippers to get trapped or to be too scared to come to w-space, more melted nanoribbons for me...or at least the same number of nanoribbons at a higher value! I too can confirm this. Our C1 had a total of 8 N110 hisec statics spawn yesterday. Additionally, for hole closing ops in our c4, the mass is not being correctly calculated. On two closing ops, 50% and 25% were displayed indicating somewhat light holes and yet closed considerably earlier than even minimum mass for those hole types should have been, trapping ships on the wrong side. H900 and x877 (from a k162).

I can also confirm these strange happenings.
Perhaps the Sansha incursions are having effects on wormholes, causing more to spawn and changing stability patterns. This could very well be in the plans by CCP to restore part of the 'unknown' factor in wormholes, you cannot time them accurately anymore, increasing the risk of being trapped.
Then again perhaps Sansha is working (with/against) sleepers for reasons unknown? |

CCP has launched a secret campaign which they dub "get out of my universe". The objective is to make EVE as annoying and impossible as they can. This is because they have realized that they don't know how to code and that they will never be able to finish the Dust project. They figure that if they can chase everyone out of EVE before the Dust release date then they can just throw their hands into the air and say "Screw it. Let's go play Twili.... I mean, WoD."

This would explain the high number of K162s we've noticed since the patch in our C4. Normally K162s appear maybe once or twice a week, now we've been getting them everyday, as many as 3 in a day. Haven't seen any multiple statics spawn in our system so far though. |

I can confirm this as well.
Currently looking at EIGHT B274's in our WH, plus our Z647.
Had a scout sitting on the WH, WH stayed way past it's lifetime, went to jump out and got denied, even though it stayed on grid, dropped probes to find sigs all over the place.
Now to duplicate this phenomenon with mag, radar, and grav sites!
