Any chance you guys are ever going to fix some of the RR aggro bugs? Like taking a faction standings hit for remote repping someone in your militia that has a GCC/is outlaw? Or taking a GCC for repping an outlaw that does not have a GCC?

Edited by: Internet Knight on 10/02/2011 18:04:10 So now's the time to re-file the tons of bug reports I filed years back but were ignored by devs?
Changing remote hull repper button color so it can be distinguished from remote armor repair for example (ya'll changed microwarpdrive button color, God bless you)...
Needing to pause skill training when applying skillpoints to skills not current being trained... wtf?
Or needing to pause skill training when putting in implants or boosters or jumpcloning... errr, I don't need to pause skill training to *lose* those implants or boosters when I die...
... Edit: and, oh my f*cking God, fix the damn fonts already! I don't want to have to work HARD to distinguish between a number one, a lowercase 'L', or a capital 'i'. I don't want to have to work HARD to decide if someone typed in a capital 'd', a capital 'o', or a number zero. I shouldn't have to work hard to decide if the next letter in the destination system is a capital 'b' or a number eight! Same goes for number '5' and capital 's'! Seriously...!!!

One thing that would really make my day, can you please please please please look into 'improving' POSes. I know the vast bulk of the game dont even touch them but they such an important thing to the economy and quite frankly I would prefer to pew than spend the entire battle waiting hours for a safe tower to anchor and online. I aint bothered about a complete overhaul and replacement (yet ) but some form of rebalancing to get rid of the old restrictions dating back from the days of POS Sov would be a nice start.
Oh and please give me FUEL RODS!!!!!!!!!!!! (the dev that gets the ball rolling can have my free beer tickets at fanfest!)

So how is this actually going to work when people suddenly gain a GCC? Will the modules just instantly turn off in the middle of the cycle, or are they going to cycle but have no actual effect? Does this also apply to other remote support? ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

We've greyed out clones that hold less SP than you currently have, to help people avoid buying clones that don't really do anything
Can someone explain this to me. I have recently got jump clones, and am in the middle of setting them up across empire for easier access when needed. However I have since getting jc's used them, and also lost one (damn pirates). However I didnt lose sp's as I had my original clone updated and I just awoke in my home system where it was. In what situation does this above situation happen when the jump clone holds less sp then you currently have ?
You can now drop items into containers without having to open them, BECAUSE THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD BE.
10/10 love this
The sell/buy window now opens in the last state it was used, either normal or advanced. This is to make sure no one gets arthritis from clicking too much.
Very nice idea, also maybe we can get an option to sell multiple items at once. For an example at present if we have just done a bunch of missions, and want to sell all the loot, we have to sell each item individually. Maybe we could get an option to SELL ALL and then a box pops up, just like it does when we are setting up a contract, and then we check the boxes to what we want sold and click SELL and everything sells at once.

This is the best dev-blog I've seen in some time! Don't get me wrong, I love getting these expansions, but I'd love getting all these niggling little things sorted even more. I only have one suggestion...
PLEASE FIX THE SOUND!!
Yea, yeah, I know, "EVE has sound??" Believe it or not, it does. For me it makes the playing experience much more immersing. But as the graphics have improved (and improved a LOT!!) and become very realistic, the sound effects, well, they just suck. Hard. The sounds themselves are old and worn out and the timing of a lot of the sound effects is way off and intermittent at best. I hear the missile launch sound a full second before the missile even appears on the screen.
And speaking of missiles, all the other weapons get cool looking guns that show on the outside of the ship... How hard would it be to get a graphical representation of missile launchers?

He's talking about regular medical clones. Jump clones are just another place to hang your implants, medical clones are where you go when you die and need to be kept updated. It kinda threw me off too when I saw it in the dev blog.

For the grayed out clones, this refers to the medical clones you can buy to protect your SP when you get podded. It won't allow you to buy a medical clone that protects fewer SP than you already have. This has nothing to do with jump clones.
As for selling multiple items, I imagine that is somewhat difficult to implement not to mention a bit of a load on the server.

I typically buy my non-combat clones for alts at least ONE size larger to avoid from being hassled to purchase them in frequency. How does the grey out work when your SP band is close to the grey?
Quote: You can now drop items into containers without having to open them, BECAUSE THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD BE.
This looks similar to dragging/dropping stuffs onto ships, which I seem to recall from more than one occasions -> wtf did my item go!!!!??111 If you haven't already, put up a VISUAL info pop is when it's done - either the container blinking or the vanilla info pop ... for BOTH CASES mentioned.

I would like to have an easy option to enter a route to a system directly in space. e.g. a text field > "go to jita". Currently i have to go to the starmap and use the search field there. Maybe if a textfield is not possible in the space view, then maybe you could add a history of the last systems i have selected by starmap as destination.

If you are addressing "little fixes for large quality of life improvements" then please for the love of god, review all of the little annoyances of science and industry.
BPO v BPC: There is no differentiation in assets. All I ask for is for a carrot system (similar to t2/faction/officer) that would make it quick and painless to sort out BPO's among a hanger full of BPC's.
Sort by research: Along the same lines, it can be a nightmare to find out which BPO's have what research on them. The asset window has a tool, but you cannot manipulate assets from that window. Could we please put a ME/PE research sorting tab (turned off by default) in the items list? Also, it wouldn't hurt to reorganize the BPO info pane to have that info up top together rather than separated by 5 or 6 lines
Research and POS's: Nothing about POS's is easy or fun... especially not the necessary evil of private sci/industry. First, error messages are convoluted. "You need to be on the floor of the lab" is not a clear message stating "Your BP and materials need to be in the same place". Also, when doing remote research, the pane to pick labs defaults to range=current station for EVERY JOB. A couple small tweaks would make the whole process much more user friendly.
Missing materials: the job quote pops up in a window over everything and completely robs control until it is accepted or denied. If more than one material is short, the only option is to write a physical note OUTSIDE of EVE. Could we please make it so you could interface with the market (or at least notes) so you could note what was short and fix it without having to get the same error 3 or 4 times because your note may have been wrong.
Also, in general... though the problem is too big to be fixed in a "thousand papercuts" manner... could we PLEASE reevaluate POS's? They have never been a fully developed mechanic, but there are no work arounds for the places they have to be. There are a million great ideas floating out there... could we put a few on the table?

Gotta say i love this idea, one important question, when will these fixes be released, can we expect a lot of small upgrade patches this year adding these corrections??????? IF SO WICKED!
Or is this going to be a billion small changes for this summers expansion? Hopefully no this because all the small changes would get forgotten and misplaced... and honestly i want frigging Incarna!
Either way i'm seriously praying we start seeing regular patches from TBFF that fixes the small eve crapfest problems.... BPC vs BPO for gods sake!

Remeber there is a difference between jump clones and medical clones. You need to keep your medical clone updated so if you get podded you do not lose skill points. Currently its possible to get a med clone that will not support all your skill points. That is whats being changed.
Note: If you just got podded, you need to update your med clone right away, or the next time you get podded you will lose skill points.
Thank you CCP for doing this effort!
In the "size does not mater" realm, ideas given by just one person can be worthy of doing. It may simply be everyone else sees the idea, says to themselves "well of course" and does not repeat it in their post. So picking things to do by how often they are mentioned may not be the best way. Also consider how annoying the problem is, and how easy that part of the code is to change.

Did you notice that this change only applies to high sec? I doubt that RR makes much of a difference when CONCORD will destoy their ship before the rep can complete a second cycle. What is your reasoning for criminals needing the ability to RR while in high sec?

I can't tell you how many times I've celebrated a pod kill only to remember five seconds later that the kill mail still wont tell me how much I screwed the other guys day up.

For the grayed out clones, this refers to the medical clones you can buy to protect your SP when you get podded. It won't allow you to buy a medical clone that protects fewer SP than you already have. This has nothing to do with jump clones.
Ahh awesome, thank you guys for your explanation. Got confused there. In that case 10/10 for that, I like that add.
As for selling multiple items, I imagine that is somewhat difficult to implement not to mention a bit of a load on the server.
Why is it difficult to implement ? They managed it with contacts. And all it is really doing is the exact same thing. The only difference, is that contracts no longer provide any load on the system server, as they have been removed and given there own server. The market however doesn't have (to my knowledge) its own server, and yes does provide a strain on the system server. However contracts managed to do multiple items, well before they was given there own server. The only thing you need to look at, is Jita. You get it to work there, it will work anywhere. At the moment if you have 200 people press sell 50 times repeatidly, it generates a item on a que for the system server to do. That's 10000 items added to the system que. If you had 200 people press sell all, all at once, the system would automatically do, add item 1 to que, sells on market, item 2 adds to que, sells on market, item 3 and so on. And therefore it would add 10000 items for the system server que. It would still actually do it one at a time, but you wouldnt need to click that over and over again to do it.

Originally by: deathpain As for selling multiple items, I imagine that is somewhat difficult to implement not to mention a bit of a load on the server.
Why is it difficult to implement ?
Because for each item, it has to query the market, determine which orders can actually be filled, and give you some indication of where and how these orders exist. There's also the question of how it will handle partial orders: you want to sell 100 items of type X and 200 of type Y, but the matching orders for X are 50 to one buyer, 40 to another and 100 to a third, whereas Y has a buyer who will buy 3000, but only in stacks of 80à
àhow does this show up in your multiple-order window and how does it handle the changing prices as orders are filled?
It's difficult both in terms of the mass-query that has to be run, and in terms of presenting the information in a useful manner. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

No, that's not the full story.
Right now, outlaws (-5 and lower) will not trigger a concord response by their mere presence, but providing remote support to them will trigger a response (aiding an outlaw gives GCC). The question is what will happen in this case ù they are criminals, but not in a GCC sense, so can they still be repped and give GCC for the support craft, or is this ability locked out as well?
There is a point to remote-supporting outaws, but of course, it will already get you killedà

Ideas: Change the S&I interface to look inside containers. If this is too much, create a special container designed for blueprints where S&I will only check inside those containers instead of every container.
Change the S&I interface to allow drag and drop from S&I to containers and/or hangars.

In the helpful spirit, we can get to the rampaging ranting later.
How about:
Making the hotkeys for "warp to" "activate/jump" actually use the selected item?
If you click ANYWHERE (except on another item, making it the newly selected item) the keyboard shortcuts seem to forget what the selected item is, despite it clealy sitting there in the selected item box. It just goes on and on about needing to have a item/destination/whateveritssayingaboutnotgettingitsneedsmet
Even zooming the view, changing the camera angle... breaks the selected target as far as the keyboard shortcut is concerned. Probably the "approach/align" and "orbit" shortcuts suffer the same way, but old habits die hard and all that, I have not tried (ab)using those 2 yet.
However, the selected item remains selected. Doing it the old way, with the mouse, works. There is just no effort saved, if you have to reselect the item before each keypress.
It is really evident when: click to select gate Keyboard control: warp (to zero) ...enter warp... fiddle with view, hit chatwindows, look at market ...exit warp... keyboard control: jump "no can do, need selected item". Except it is still selected. The command just doesnt use it, because i dared to use the mousebuttons between pressing for warp and pressing for jump.

Originally by: Lockefox BPO v BPC: There is no differentiation in assets. All I ask for is for a carrot system (similar to t2/faction/officer) that would make it quick and painless to sort out BPO's among a hanger full of BPC's.
You may recall this dev blog from October last year, when we moved from a 32-bit to a 64-bit Inventory System in Tyrannis 1.2. The deployment of the 64-bit Inventory System allowed us to start considering a differentiation between BPO and BPC in locations such as your hangar without incurring a performance impact. (If you were truly paying attention then I said so here...)
But more was needed than just 64-bit identifiers, we needed to be able to distinguish between different context-specific types of singleton objects (non-stackable objects). As an example, in general then the singleton flags -1 and -2 just mean that the object is a singleton. But in the context of a blueprint then -1 could be interpreted by the client as a BPO and -2 as a BPC. The Inventory System doesn't have to look this up in side-tables (no extra server or DB load) and all the work of interpreting what -1 and -2 mean is offloaded to the clients.
We started on this work along with a lot of other cleanup, performance enhancements and hardening of the Inventory System and it will be released soon to Tranquility, providing the foundation for differentiating between BPOs and BPCs. Some more code is needed to make that happen so I can't promise any dates but the foundation is there.

RR-ing pilots with a GCF and outlaws can't be done in high-sec (GCF triggers CONCORD, outlaws triggers Faction Police). You won't be able to activate assistance modules on them and if you have such modules already activated when they become flagged then the flagging won't transfer to you and the modules will deactivate on the next cycle.

The hotkeys are not supposed to use the selected item. To copy a reply from CCP Optimal:
I think some of the problems you are describing with the combat shortcuts not working at all might be related to a misunderstanding of how they are designed to work. There are two ways of using a combat shortcut:
- Holding the combat shortcut key down, and then clicking the desired entity to apply it to. This was basically just taking the old CTRL+click targeting functionality and applying it to other in-space actions
- Having focus set to the overview and just pressing the combat shortcut key (no mouse clicking required). This functionality was added for those who would like to do combat without using the mouse at all.
Clicking an entity in space, and THEN pressing a combat shortcut key, will however not work, as this would probably end up with a lot of accidental command executions.

This sounds like a good start.
Have you noticed that you've gotten lots of positive feedback in this thread?
Have you noticed that it's gotten more positive response than many of your recent devblogs?
Now keep doing it and lots more, and your players will be happy.
RE:BPO/BPC distinction. Now that you've made it, it'd be nice if you could remove useless options from the right-click menu. Do you know how often I click on "reverse engineer" when I'm trying to run an invention job? It's not possible to reverse engineer a BPC or a BPO. Why is that option there? It's also not possible to copy or ME or PL research a copy, or invent from an original.
If you spent 1/10th the effort on the Corporation and POS management interface that you spent on the portrait snapper, I think you'd see much happier CEOs and Directors. People like that matter for the social health of the game, and they burn out fast dealing with this crap.

O Heck Ya!, I like the source of this....
Here's one for you, locking invulnerable targets!
one of the most annoying things I think of when out on pvp is ctrl-click spamming the overview on ships that are (landing, undocking, decloaking, ext.) any state where they come back as "target is invulnerable"
It would be much preferable to have the first click do the job, fire up the locking process and in the status bar show "interference" or something like that until the ship is out of warp, or clear of undock/session change whatever. then the lock timer can proceed as if from the moment it was able to begin acquiring a lock.
this is most annoying when you have half the fleet able to lock and fire while the other half are still getting a "target invulnerable" message. -We So SeXy |

Thanks to Akita T for the "Thousands Papercuts" project. Great initiative and CCP did actually listen. Fixing some of that small stuff will make Eve feel less like a beta version.
Hopefully this is just the beginning and bigger features like FW, SOV etc. will get the well deserved polish as well. Fixing what is there already and making it actually enjoyable for your players will serve the game more than new features. Polished (playable) quality will sell better than new features in the long run.

This one though made me boggle:

After boggling, I read it... 3 more times.... just to make sure I was reading that correctly.

On the topic of hotkeys, can we have them work for bookmarks?

Just stick to the CSM November crowdsourcing list that we all voted on - a few things have been ticked off already, but pretty much everything on that list needs to be looked at. I mean, we all went to the trouble of voting on it for priorities

I would like the ability as someone else suggested in the features forum for the ability to have savings accounts, rather than have all your isk in one basket. This could be password protected so to add an extra layer of security to help make it more difficult if the account is hacked, but make sure it is not allowed to have the same password as the login one.
Just my thoughts

I'm not sure how the concord RR thing affects neutral RR. Do you have a way to bait the wartarget/aggression target to get concorded and get the RR concorded too? Do you get the RR to remote rep you somehow and get yourself concorded? The ONLY thing that change affects is stopping RR from sharing CONCORD aggro, not player aggro or anything else. So I'm confused on how this affects neutral RR since I know of no way to force CONCORD on somebody else no matter what you do.

Now that you guys on a roll tackling small stuff can you please take a look at Bug #104068 - "Client forgets position of lab hangar windows"?
Basically if you go to your POS and open a couple labs the windows open on top of each other. Before corification they used to open in the last place you left them.
This is pretty annoying for the ones who go to their POS couple times a day for copy/invention. -- I take offense on people feeling offended by me |

Explorer,
I really appreciate that you're taking the time to answer questions here - especially after hours like you are doing. However, I was really hoping that you guys would fix the above two issues while you fixed RR aggression in incursions. I agree that your change is very minimalist (and this is good), but fixing the standings hit/GCC would be a major improvement to the faction war and low sec in general.
To be clear for the carebears: No this isn't a fix to help evil pirates kill you. If they haven't shot you yet, they aren't aggressed, aren't taking damage, and don't need remote repair. These fixes simply allow pirates to shoot and and kill each other, as well as provide a long overdue faction warfare bug fix.

That argument is not water tight. If somebody wants to sell 200 stacks of items, he will, whether he can sell them all at once or one by one. The number of individual market transactions does not change. So in theory the average load would stay the same. In practice, it is actually often better to perform one or few large queries than 200 small ones.
Quote: àhow does this show up in your multiple-order window and how does it handle the changing prices as orders are filled
This, however, is a much bigger problem: Creating a good UI for mass sell/buy (and then you would indeed increase server load, because people tend to look much more often at the market then actually buy/sell). Unless they made it a dumb mass sell, with no/minimal preview. ________________________ CCP: Where fixing bugs is a luxury, not an obligation. |

Edited by: Hurkh Hurnulkh on 11/02/2011 09:52:02 Thank you a lot for taking this approach of fixing broken things. I've never been more excited of a new release.
I know the whole UI of Industry should be redone, there's been talks of it for years now. I know someone (probably in CSM) has created a better list of "small fixes" industry could use, but I'll nevertheless list my favorite small fix here:
System should remember what kind of installation user last used when he started a job. Using this information, when entering a new job, the system should check for and pre-select a similar installation with the smallest queue. This would remove a whole lot of repetitive clicks from entering any kind of industry job (especially when you enter them in a batches of 10 jobs). If you really want a minifix, just start by implementing this for stations only, and expand to installations in POSses later. |

Back in the early days of eve when the Carrier were introduced, we all hoped that one day it would be possible to actually dock on ships.
Since then it was very quiet...
I believe it would be a nice chance to actually allow such a feature.
Allow people to dock up on carriers/motherships/rorquals/...
This would make most of the ship maintenance bays on bigger ships and also on smaller ships very usefull and nice.

I think having a program of small fixes is a great idea. There are a couple of things I would like to see if possible:
1) Could you please look at introducing tabs into item hangars for individuals, as well as corporate hangars. Using containers to manage my stuff is a clunky workaround
2) I may be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure that if I look at the material requirements on a T2 BPC that's inside a can when I'm away from station they are calculated wrong. They don't appear to take into account the wastage factor of the BPC - in other words, they fool me into buying the wrong amount of materials. can you fix that, please.

If this is how the shortcuts should work I'd say you have totally missed how shortcuts work in pretty much all other programs. If I want to copy something I don't press alt, E, C going the menu way, I press ctrl+C going the shortcut way.
Using alternative 1 is worse than using the overview (today I select the gate I want to jump through from the overview, I hit the warp button at the top right, and when the ship slows down as it arrives I move my mouse to the jump button instead and press it to jump). With the "shortcut" I would have to scroll through the overview, hold down a button and click on the right gate (if I miss-click I warp to the wrong location). When the ship slows down I will again have to scroll through the overview, hold down another button and click the gate (again with the risk of miss-clicking).
Alternative 2 is in other words the only useful alternative. However it's still "bugged". To go around the problem with having to have the overview active I created a set of macros for my G15 keyboard in such a way that it always clicked ctrl+space before the actual command. Disregarding the fact that the game was extremely picky on how long the delay between ctrl and space had to be I eventually got it to work. However the fun thing here is that if the selected gate is not in view (it's scrolled outside the overview viewport) when you issue the shortcut it won't register!
In my opinion alternative two should A) NOT require you to have the overview active and B) NOT require that the selected item is in the viewport. If people are afraid of issuing commands by mistake, just set them to ctrl+whatever or ctrl+alt+whatever. That way it's impossible to activate it by just writing without focus on the chat.
When the new shortcuts came out I thought it was a wonderful addition, but they are so cumbersome to use so I still use the old way. That has to mean something...

Could we get a checkbox or settings options to disable backgrounds in space? Ever since you removed the wide screen bars without recognition of usability it's not gotten any easier for people with visual deficiences.
Please don't get lost again in arguments like "immersion breaking" or "some things you have to enforce to make it compelling", there is no chance you can spare the resources to address the wide screen removal itself, but you might just consider a common courtesy to bypass the whole problem and still address it with minimal effort.
Also the old argument of space backgrounds working against macro EULA breakers is obsolete. Their technology has evolved, often not depending on OCR anymore. Botting has become a war of its own, just like RMT. And they're not the same anymore.
It would make a world of difference for gameplay of quite a few folks.

There's some good stuff here.
I do have a question though:
"Since there isn't a good reason to remote rep someone who is criminally flagged apart from griefing, we're removing the ability to RR criminals in highsec. This is to close a loophole where people would CONCORDOKKEN their fleet. Thanks to Team Gridlock for making this change for us."
Is being a criminal (getting global) still dependent on your sec status and the sec of the system? This could cause some problems for folks trying to help out corp mates regain some sec with missions etc. Or does it not apply if the individual is in same corp?

A list of suggestions / "bugs" for the Developers:
Quote:
You can now remotely destroy a jump clone from anywhere
Did you also fix my ticket about this issue:
- I have jump clones made in a Rorqual - The Rorqual player stopped playing since a year ago - I CANNOT delete those clones in any way, since the ship is obviously not in game.
Quote:
We've greyed out clones that hold less SP than you currently have, to help people avoid buying clones that don't really do anything
EvE is a game of consequences. I am not sure this is in line with EvE's inner philosophy. "Thinking for the player" is more for that "other MMO".
I'd also wish to signal an UI discrepancy that I consider a bug:
- There are several nice market filters.
- They don't work where it counts, that is on the graph. C/D?
Example:
- A guy puts a 8000000000 ISK grief order on Tritanium
- The history prices graph is compressed to a line and screwed for everyone for that day.
This happens even if I set a filter to avoid stuff > 10 ISK.
The very filters say they apply to the "Details" tab, and the graph IS in the details window but won't get the filter applied. The filter only gets applied to the "Market Data" window.
--------
Finally a question: to build some capital ships don't require capital propulsion engines nor any engine of any sort (IE Orca). How does it make sense?

Edited by: Bomberlocks on 11/02/2011 13:02:24 This is not the right place for it, but since I'm still recovering from shock that CCP is looking at fixing stuff instead of shiny, here's a list of things that come up almost every time people ask for changes: 1. Hybrid weapons - range on blasters is dismal and tracking is bad when at optimal, - tracking on rails is appalling - ammunition changes a la projectile buff could improve this (high damage standard tracking close-in ammo, tracking boosted standard damage long range ammo). - An alternative would be to boost hybrid damage by 15%. - Similarly to how the alpha role that artillery have, rails could have a long range good tracking role. Their current ultra-long range role is almost never used anymore. Long range lasers can have slightly reduced tracking to compensate perhaps. 2. Gallente Blaster boats - They are simply too sluggish and too poorly tanked with bad slot layouts to be used with regular success by regular (as opposed to elite pilots) - Almost all blaster boats need a power grid and cpu boost (some Caldari rail boats too). It makes no sense that Blaster boats cannot fit the largest caliber weapon with fitting mods or rigs, even when gank fit, or mid size weapons when tanked without grid or cpu mods. The Enyo, Deimos and Brutix are examples - Specific ships need more slots - The brutix needs another low slot at the very least in addition to the PG and CPU boost. 3. Specific ships need rebalancing - AFs and 4th bonus? - Destroyer balancing? - Caracal needs to be able to fit at least a HML fit without gimping everything else. It is currently only good as an anti-frigate boat - The Stabber needs a high slot moved to a medium or a low slot (either more tank or more gank/speed), and a drone bay of at least 15m3 along with the drone bandwidth to go with that. - Omen needs grid and cpu improvements, possibly reducing laser cap bonus to 5% to compensate, or add an extra low slot for grid or cpu mod. - Thorax needs its mwd bonus changed to a falloff bonus - All races need at least two good t1 frigates and cruisers, specifically, the Inquisitor, Breacher (extra mid, cpu) and Kestrel (cpu) need slot changes and/or grid/cpu improvements, the Caracal, Stabber, Omen and thorax as noted above - Myrmidon needs 100mbit drone bandwidth - Give the poor old Phoon a minor grid/cpu boost - Consider giving minor boosts in slots to the t1 inty ships, -slasher extra low, condor extra cpu so that new players can learn tackling in better ships. - Republic Fleet Firetail needs a 25% damage boost to compete with other faction navy frigates. - Claw needs targeting range improved to 19km. - Tier1 Battlecruisers need improvements, Ferox, extra mid, Brutix as above, cyclone, slightly more grid and cpu, Prophecy, change laser cpu bonus to a damage bonus (can use cap injector instead). - What happened to the 5th T3 subsystems? 4. Drones - There should be drone damage mods, rigs and implants, currently only sentry damage rigs - The stacking penalty for all ewar drones apart from ECM drones needs to be reduced, these drones are currently almost usesless. - The webbing drones need med and small versions (which work)

Continued from above.. 5. UI and graphics - There needs to be a customisable player list of orbit and keep at range distances (drop down on selected item nenu) - chat needs to be moved into one single window with no tabs, using colours and prefixes (chat channel name in brackets) to improve chat usability and reduce window clutter in UI - All the tiny little white triangles in UI Windows need to be changed to drop-down menus. This is 2011 and drop downs have been around for a long, long time. - Font changes. CCP has been working on a new font for some years now. Your average design agency does this in one or two weeks. Stop trying to invent everything yourselves and just license one or have one made for you by an agency. - Remove 100km look at distance limit. Currently, one can work around by juggling the zoom and camera angle, but it is tedious and there is no technical or game design reason for this. - Consider at least creating and showing missile launcher models on missile ships. - The overheat tabs on mods desperately needs to be larger and more reliable. - There is a need to improve the layout of the overview settings window. It is currently very complicated and unintuitive. - The overview window little white triangle needs to be a bigger drop-down menu. 6. Playability - Consider reducing station docking session timers length, as one currently has to have a session timers for docking itself, switching a ship, and then undocking again, or at least for switching ships. 7. Game global - Consider making FW sov mean something. Possibly a boost to LP mission gains by corp or player who fired last shot on bunker.

Thank you, it's really nice to see some general house keeping going on
For what it matters these are the two small changes that would make the most difference to my eve experience:
1) FW Plexes: PvP is at the core of FW, a couple of small changes to the plex mechanic would give us more and better fights. It would also stop a lot of the 'FW's been abandoned' posts as these three changes have been asked for many many times.
- Have plexes spawn throughout the day instead of at downtime. - Classify faction ships as T2 for the purpose of entering plexes. - Remove NPC's.
2) On the science and industry UI allow us to install multiple jobs simultaneously. EG I have 10 blueprints ready for invention, I should be able to select them all and install either in parallel (each blueprint goes in the next available invention slot so they're done in the minimum amount of time) or in series (each blueprint goes one after the other in the same invention slot so uses the minimum number of slots).
The fun part of industry is watching market trends, manipulating them where possible and the satisfaction of the selling the end product. Forcing us to act as human macros is not fun. Many industrialists have multiple accounts and the repetitious grind of spending 20 minutes a day setting jobs is a real game breaker, making this small UI change would make a huge difference to a lot of people.

some little good things here, i really like being able to remove waypoints in space for example.
what i would love would be being able to open / move items / ships inside pos forcefield at more than 2500meters. a simple 5000m would help a lot avoiding losing time. ---------------- ** Wormhole Trading ** |

Do you have any idea how hard it would be to keep track of ~10 conversations in 1 window?

Thank you for using your precious time to answer, but I think you people have gravely misunderstood what we want and expect from a shortcut.
Currently it might lead to dangerous actions, because you have put the *default* bindings on "dangerous" chatprone keys, that can cause problems if you forgot to be sure that the window has focus. This will be migitaged by 2 things. People learn to care about focus. And they use differing bindings. If they were on F-keys or e.g. the numpad or used modifiers, there would be near no risk. Example, i rarely ever use f9-f12 for anything, they would be obvious candidates.
I admit to being a experienced user who gets the concept of focus, but in the current state, going by the designgoals stated by CCP Optimal, it seems that is actually bordering on a unintended feature that we can click a item on the overview and then use the hotkey, since the intended functionality appears to be for people without or unable to operate a mouse.
But let me put something else to you. I could, should I so desire, because I know a bit more than average, in a matter of minutes locate, download and install general purpose software that will allow me to set up any hotkey I want, and it will (generalizing a bit) then move the mouse to a predesignated spot on my screen, regardless of program (but lets say the warp button in fullscreen mode), and click, when I press the assigned keybind.
Why should I or anyone else not do that, when we cant have something we should have had years ago? The current hotkey limitations/quirks/whathaveyou are overly restrictive, end of story.
Formally I am not allowed to, because of the EULA and that the same software can be used for much more sophisticated things than only translating a keypress to a mouseclick on a given pixel. But it is merely this simple thing we ask of hotkeys. Being able to trigger button presses with the same autority as having used the mouse to do the same thing. So many games have it, and had it before Eve got online. So many non-game programs have it. Stop being stubborn naysayers about it.

Drawing from my experince with that mmo that should not be named, I like many of the things the its UI could do, specially with addons. In this context, the ability to run several channels/convos in the same window. The tabbing part we already have. Due to the nature of the intel role, that the member list in the local chat plays, understandably that needs to run in a window of its own. But everything else can be sufficiently managed with multichannelling and a few tabs.

Thanks CCP for this chance to get some little things out of the way.
Ship Info Window - Why does the ship info window not have the name of ship in bold letters on top of it. Eve has over 200 ships, the name of the ship as headline in the description would realy be good.
Short Cuts - I like the new organization of the short cuts. - Setting the starbase forcefield password is a short cut I miss, the hands are on the keyboard anyways to type in the password. - Launch drones with multiple shortcuts, to be able to launch a specific group of drones is missing too.
Drone Handling - Add the option assist, guard or repair a person in fleet to the persons context menu. - The drones could be a bit more aggressiv. If the drones are launched they should instantly attack the attacker and not wait for some event which usually never happens in time.
Market Window - For large groups of items the market window takes forever to build up. Seperate the item info from the price info. Add the meta level to the item description in the market and do not show any prices on the overview and let the buy button disappear.
POS - The intensive refining array needs a large POS to run it, but can not even handle the output of a single Hulk. A refining array can process 200.000 m3 every 3 hours, a Hulk mines 150.000 m3 every hour. This and the lousy yield makes the intensive refining array pretty much useless. The consequence is, that transporting compressed low end ores to high sec and refining there with 100% yield and bringing back complete ships is the most effective way of null sec production. The intensive refining array should at least process 2.000.000 m3 ore in one go every three hours, and deliver 100% yield with good skills. The ability to refine loot should be put on top of it, this would definitely boost null sec production. And of course a warning that the refined minerals and ice products will eventually exceed the refining arrays capacity.
Chat Windows - Would it be possible to mute the local chat window. I am especially not interested in the scammers from Jita, or some lag in fleet battles because of local smack talk. I do not want them to use up my bandwidth. - Would it be possible to have a clear chat button for the chat windows? - Would it be possible to have a clear fleet chat button for the fleet boss?

First of all...
I came.
Now that we've cleared that up, I agree (as I did in the bugreport that you deleted) that the new shortcuts are not only more worthless than a condom machine in the vatican, but they have introduced client-side lag that it causing problems with ship control. It's not that we don't understand the architecture you were going for with the new shortcut system. We get it. We really do. It's just that it's stupid as hell. Stop defending it and fix it. Thank you.
Apart from that, I'm overjoyed at what this blog is suggesting. Papercuts is really my largest concern with EVE and I often worry about the future of the game because of it (among certain other things). That said, if you blueball us on this then... Well... There's no helping some people.
Anyway, I want to support you in this effort, so I will say that you should seriously use the CSM crowdsourcing list for input (use the sorted by popularity list, please... :/) as well as the papercuts thread. I will also make a point of resuming my old habit of writing down the s*** that annoys me for no reason or doesn't work right in an itemized list while I play. I'll try to post the results in papercuts for you weekly. The vast majority of the problems in the game are quick fix-able... Even in the cthonic labyrinth of spaghetti code that I picture as the EVE source.
SO!
You have my support in this. (As well as a lot of other people I know who are too 'cool' to use the forums.) Thank you.

"Some of the preceding statements are forward-looking and do not constitute a promise of a delivery of said feature at a certain date."
Could the fix be something as simple as tying it to the # of licensed runs remaining? For a BPO it's always infinite, and for a BPC it varies. So an If Then Else statement could assign the proper tag, assuming the coding language you use for inventory would work with one:
"If ProductionRuns = Infinite; Then ItemFlag = Original.jpg
Else ItemFlag = Copy.jpg
End If"

What about mining mission? They are not even attractive to mission runner. They take a LONG time at 45 mins in a maxxed out hulk/mackinaw at level 4 for merely 2 million ISK 3 year ago. Why are they taking so long to fix? 3 year old thread and the problem is still present! Either completely remove them and add new ones. Or change them completely so you have a reason to stop mine trit in highsec. Right now as they stand they are just not worth your time compare to a level 4 combat mission or real asteroid mining.

"Eve Barbie" as you say isn't being worked on by Eve Developers, it's being worked on by CCP Core Tech Developers. That is why the Eve Devs don't have much to do as the next expansion is is being done by other non-Eve devs. There will need to be Eve devs to integrate walking in stations but that leaves a lot with not much to do.
Remember CCP is a games company, Eve is just one of their games, Eve wasn't their first nor the lasted one. CCP have Devs working on other games, these people are not Eve devs!
Sometimes it's like talking to a brick wall.
And now for the flames....

With respect to remote repairing ships, I applaud the good intentions of CPP. Less pleased am I that they did not read, listen or think things trough and wend to implement something inadequate for the issue at hand.
Realize that there are multiple ways a ship actively can support another ship and thus can inherit concord aggression (which is the real issue here):
* Remote repairs (shield or armor) * Capacitor transfer * Remote sensor boosting * Remote tracking enhancing * Remote ECCM projection
As I understand only a fix for the first on the list is implemented, thus that won't fix what the Incursion players experienced with concord. If only the first two on this list were fixed (the 2nd is NOT mentioned in the blog), then it covers MOST issues, but not all.
And by not fixing the other issues, you limit the tactics that can be used and certain special tactical roles. Take the scimitar for example, a logistics ship and designed to fill the role of remote tracking enhancing. This ship is pretty much downgraded to shield transfer only, without having the capacitor to fill that role properly.
What I proposed (and got no DEV reply on, shame on CCP) was to not make criminal aggression transferable from player to player in incursion sites. You could have done it for all of high sec and be completely done with all the issues you can dream up. Concord will kill a targeted ship anyway and tanking concord is a ban able offense in case that fails.
I ain't sure what the devs read on the forums and what made them think that remote repair shutoff is anywhere near a fix for the issues they think to combat, but it is not!!!
I posted these insights before in the Features and Ideas section, as you ran read here:
http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1457458
There is a fix, but it entails implementing exactly as I proposed and it is far simpler then module specific fixes!

I knew there was a reason why it is only on SiSi that I am ever seen in 0.0.
ANYWAY, clue for mr ihaveyousetredandthushateyou:
Noone is suggesting, unless you read stuff that isnt there, taking away any of the current capabilities. What is suggested, is that running multiple channels in the same window/tab is added to the current system. So you can use it if you want. If it got across to you as taking away what you currently have, you got it wrong. I was for the sake for argument trying to point out that people had a reasonable request, by flipping the reasoning in the "hell no, i want to keep 10 windows" argument upside down.
Imagine you get a rightclick on each tab, where there will be a submenu with a checkbox for each channel/convo you have open, to include/exclude viewing it in that tab.
Having chat prefixes for talking to specific channels without changing tab/window focus, like: /l for local /c for corp /a for alliance /f for fleet add more if you can come up with good ones.
I find your example messages, everything lumped together only separated by colour, a show of extreme lack of imagination and suggest you have never used tabs with different filters. Being able to get a feed from several source into the same window is very useful, and it can easily be done far better than only having one, with everything mashed in. So is not being forced to, as you very pointedly point out, but that ought to be extremely obvious, so I didnt feel the need to include that view.
The big deal is having the choice to go either way, when and where you need it. Every channel/convo STILL needs it own tab/window.
But * If people want to get a feed from channel x and y in every window, LET THEM. * If they only want it in tab/window p, q and r, LET THEM. Example could be getting a copy of the fleet chat in any convo window. Maybe in your case in every "information" channel as you call it. * If they, like you, dont want it anywhere, LET THEM.
Don't tell them that they are not allowed to, just because you prefer it another way.
Is that clear enough for?

Science & Industry Planetary Tab Overhaul
As it stands this tab gives very little information. In fact, all it gives is the number of installations present. I'm proposing that each planet listed have a drop-down box that gives useful information without having to view the planet in planet mode.
For example, it would be nice if I didn't have to switch to planetary view to:
* See how much of the launcher cargo space is used, and by what ( silos too I guess, but who uses them? )
* See the program time remaining for the extractors
I would also like to:
* See how much Customs space is used

One change I would really like to see has to do with the skill training queue... It would be much more useful if instead of checking for pre-requisites to be completed before you inject the skill, do your checking at the moment it is next in the queue. Then simply skip over it if the player doesn't meet the requirements. In this way, people that have a plan to train through the pre-requisites first can then carry the plan on through unattended with the one they really want instead of having to wait to the exact moment that they can now inject and train the real skill they are after.
Thanks, Xenopolis

Realize that there are multiple ways a ship actively can support another ship and thus can inherit concord aggression (which is the real issue here):
* Remote repairs (shield, armor or hull) * Capacitor transfer * Remote sensor boosting * Remote tracking enhancing * Remote ECCM projection * Remote repair drones * Drones that are assisting a fleet member (what if that fleet member attacks a neutral player by mistake, who gets flagged as criminal?)
[SNIP]
To address the "what is/isn't included?" concerns: The changes involve shutting down any assistance effect, not just remote reps. This include cap transfer and so on. It also includes drones that use these effects - your logistics drones will have their effects shut off in the same way as your own ship.
So, don't worry. Your scimitar (and her drones) will still be fully effective. -- Team Gridlock: Herding electronic cats since 2010 |

*****Market changes******
for people who have lots of buy/sell orders it would really nice to be able to have a function that simply allows you to refresh the orders all at once to prevent them running out, rather than having to do them one at a time.
So for instance, if you are still happy with the prices of your orders and simply want to stop them expiring you could just have a function that alters all selected orders say by .01 isk, all at once! That really would make life a lot easier.

Of course they will, but this is not as bad as you make it sound :). Fact is they are running multiple SB already and have no problem locking something quick. They might go for better tracking enhancing by using the freed up slots. End result they do a little more DPS due to increased chances of a wrecking hit.
Overall, if you let yourself be take by one of them, then you are unprepared and would have died in the old situation just the same! No real impact I'd say!

I'm very happy with all the little fixes. I will be even happier if this turns out to be the start of a habit.
I would like to take a moment to request improvements to the drone UI: I would like to be able to see the condition of drones that are docked in the drone bay. I would like to be able to launch groups of drones with hotkeys. I would like a simpler method of swapping a damaged drone for a spare during combat.
Also, This:

-AFK mode for my portrait in channels. Greys out my face as it is viewed in that chann. Possible to add a timer when people rightclick new option[Show Timer].
-Floating Message Of The Day icon, when you click on the bright little thing it expands to show full message. Then it grays out, until updated[Blink On is default, and not changeable].
-Floating fleet link in channel is is linked in, floats below MOTD float. Only 3 fleets stored by channel at any time.
Combat -Leaving fleet gives boss to a person with Leadership V, first. Got to use that Charisma-based skillgroup at all times. Also, Fleet might need that bonus, nevermind, Fleets have never needed Leadership bonii..
Industry -Reprocess window shows no Show Info on the lefthand list. -Remove show all button in Reprocessing Window. It is redundant.
-'Cargo full' message locks interface[no lock interface windows, EVER!!!!!] Trade -Trade window Notifies via sound notification[inmyEVE!] that other person is waiting for you to accept Trade on your end.
-Corp/Maintenance Hanger has to be reopened each Session change, unlike standard Cargohold window! FIX! See what you can do about containers in hold. -Market Order highlight,
UI -Tactical overlay is very white on white contrast...adjust.
-In Tactical OVerlay Mode: Display EWAR/ECM Effect from targets, above the ship icon in space, off/on the overview if that option is selected.
-In Tactical Overlay Mode: 1-Clicking on an target shows a line that measures Tranversal. 2-Player can set this measurement to a colour code setting. Red is High, Yellow is Moderate, Green is Good. This data is already available. Just not presented well on overview. No.2 is not mandatory.
-Adding bookmark to ingame browser makes scary sound...make non-scary sound please.
-Tint the teal colour on MWDs to match the violet colour on Warp Scramblers. Correlates Scramming with MWD ability. Intuitive.[I understand the point of redrawing the symbol, but missing the point of confusion for newer players is frustrating]

Speaking of context menus, I've had a number of ideas for ages.
: IN SPACE: * Identify entries under the "My Places:" heading (bookmarks and bookmark folders) with an icon/color/indentation to visually separate them from constant entries like asteroid and station * Remove "add waypoint" selection from the context menus of many in-space objects (LCO, npc ships, asteroids) * Remove "set name" from wreck context menu * Remove "Broadcast: Jump To" from stargate context menu * Move "Show Info" selection to top of NPC ship context menu (for consistency) * Visually identify the "Use Fitting service" selection on the capital ship context menu with an icon/color/indentation to separate it from the standard entries * Visually identify group of navigation commands like "Approach", "Warp to within", and "Keep at Range" with an icon/color/indentation to separate it from other entries
: DRONE WINDOW : * Remove the collapse/expand option from the Drones in local space context menu * Remove the collapse/expand option from the Drones in bay context menu * Move "abandon drone" to a pop-over menu, and visually identify it with an icon/color/indentation to reinforce its potential hazard. * Visually identify the "Assist" and "Guard" pop-over menus with an icon/color/indentation
: CHAT WINDOW MEMBER LIST: * Visually identify the fleet pop-over menu with an icon/color/indentation to separate it from the standard entries * Move "Give Money" and "Trade" into new group (away from corporation/alliance specific entries like "View Member Details") * Add "Alliance" entry to Auto-link sub-menu * Remove "Show Info" from the fleet pop-over menu
: INVENTORY MENUS : * Add "Add to Places" to context menu of physical bookmarks * Move "Reprocess" to a pop-over menu, vertically separate it from other common tasks, and visually identify it with an icon/color/indentation to reinforce its potential hazard.
: CHARACTER SHEET : * Remove "Open Group Window" entry from jump clone context menu * Move "Destroy" entry from the jump clone context menu to a pop-over menu, and visually identify it with an icon/color/indentation to reinforce its potential hazard. * Add "View Kill Information" to kill and loss entry (Combat Log) context menus.
: FITTING WINDOW : * Add "Charge" pop-over submenu for turrets, launchers, script taking modules * Add "Show Info" entry to "Charge" sub-menu
and I'm sure I can think of more in the future.

Originally by: Mashie Saldana I totally can't see suicide gankers on gates have people providing remote sensorboosting/tracking at all after this change.
Whyever not?
The rule is that the effect just gets shut off *after* the guy with the guns get GCC flagged. Until the gunship opens up, it is safe to boost locktime and provide tracking. And when it does, well the system is now kind and carebearing, it just shorts your modules instead of adding you to the list of concord targets.
TBH it is in effect riskfree to provide this kind of ganking assistance.
So, you can still get boosted locktime and once it is locked who cares if the booster gets shut off, the GCCd gunship is dead concord meat soon. At least the first volley can be track assisted, unless they have gone way deep into the combat code to delay the hit calculation until the tracking boost has been removed. Some field testing seems to be required to work out if: * trackboost all volleys, until such time as the tracking link would have cycled down anyway - the non-shorting, just off-shutting scenario. * trackboost only first volley. The shorting scenario, with GCC only being applied after initial agression. * no trackboost - the shorting scenario, with GCC getting injected in front of the fire request.
My guess is the first or second, as the last would involve more messing with the order of things, by catching the fire request and removing any buffs before doing actual hit/damage calculations. As opposed to one unsanctioned volley landing and then going: aha, I saw you shooting someone without agression rights or a wardec, now I take away your assists and drop concord on you.

Now you can safely sensor-boost someone who is going to suicide gank without having to fear CONCORD on the boosting character.
You really didn't understand that?!

They would have to actually add an afk mode before they can have your portrait reflect t.
Exactly, they must add one.

Maybe after they implement the new UI code? What new UI code? What does that have to do with Chat channels?

I CANNOT CHANGE SCRIPTS/AMMO WHILE CLOAKED IN A T2 CLOAK COMBAT SHIP.
So, uncloak. Ambushing requires the right scripts/modules based on the random target. Uncloaking has a 3 second delay for locking, not enough time to change scripts/overheat pts/ MWD and range set. So on a T2 ship like a Razu, those damps have to be set correctly before you activate them. Uncloaking is the last thing you should do. I'd understand that on a T1 ship with no Covert definition, but T2 Covert,Bombers/covert frig, Recons/BlackOps, unacceptable.
Also, the rig for uncloak delay should reduce delay 50-100% on a T2 ship. Or simply remove the delay entirely from that Covert shipclass.

Mmmm.... I think many people are happy that most sub-caps don't have to worry about DDs It's all blobs of Dreads/Moms nowadays anyways, or the Supercaps can log out...at least this way it's interesting. And the AoE can have certain penalties on range and power. Like AOE that puts all ship in 100km into Hull, no more no less. Even if you use 10 of them back to back.[support fleet will be required to finish the job. LIKE IT SHOULD BE]

The targeting UI is distracting enough already. I can understand the thought of changing from the square bracket + vert&horizontal markers to something less complicated, though.
I'm trying to eliminate this section from the overview. Since players only fire on 1 target at once, they could check the best TV merely by clicking on the target they hope to murderize. Then if they are familiar with low and high TV, they fire.
EVE UI needs to have less things on the Overview. Creative Customer Person 7 |

Edited by: Che Biko on 22/02/2011 20:58:17 Hmm, well I have not check up on the new character sheet yet, but one thing that's always bugged me about it is the Birth Date. It should be Graduation Date or licensed Date or something along those lines. Or do they draft capsuleers from newborn clones or something?
Also when I have a char training on an account but log into another one on the same account, it bugs me that I'm informed my current char isn't training anything.
Why does the charsheet blink when I claim certificates? It just makes me have to open&close the thing again.
And why do I have to relog to switch training to another char?
Why do I have to relog to switch characters?
I can't properly see the edges on extractor heads areas on ice planets, especially if the resource layer is white in the scan view.
Can't see bookmarks in my overview.
Can't scan down wrecks.
Oh, and I would like to see crew casualty counts in those nice IC news items. That would really help in a) making people realize that crew exists and helps us guestimate how much are on certain types of ship (and starbases and stuff?) and b) would dramatize the scale of the battles a lot.
That's all...for now.

Edited by: Kendoori Jinwah on 24/02/2011 09:43:37 Just a few Design Change Requests I thought I'd air here in the forum along with the bug report; -> DCR: Allow client side "Flight Log" showing previous coordinates in space you¦ve been. =================================================== Description:
This seems like a simple thing that any space faring vessel should be able to do... but every 5 seconds that your space ship is in motion or entering warp or exiting warp (In system or jumping between systems), your spaceship, depending on it¦s sophistication, should be able to record a log of where it¦s been.
The user should be able to open his "Flight Log" and see a space coordinate, organized by the region, solar system, nearest celestial body, and actual space coordinate.
From these coordinates, the user could right click on a coordinate, and click "Set Waypoint", "Add Waypoint", "Warp at 0", "Warp at 5-100k", "Warp Fleet at 0", "Warp Fleet at 5-100k", "Add to Bookmarks"... you get the drift.
Different sized vessels may be capable of storing a longer log (1 hour, 4, 12, 1 day, 4 days etc..) and should be a setting that allows the user to record locally up to the ships maximum record time.
Example: T1 Frigate. Up to 1 hour flight log. Settings say "Up to 24 hours of logs for any given ship". The T1 Frigate will record up to 1 hour since it¦s under the settings maximum. T2 Crusiers may have up to 1 day. Specialty ships like exploration ships could have extremely long flight logs as a thought to promote using them.
The time should also represent playing time, not actual time as well.
Flight logs should be different for each ship (To throw some realism in there). If two ships are in the same hanger, maybe add right click option to "Download Flight Log" and "Upload Flight Log" to transfer them between ships. Uploading flight logs would override the flight log on that ship and the destination ship could only hold it¦s maximum capacity (24 hour flight log uploaded to a T1 frigate would only store the last 1 hour of flight). Interesting spin mabye create a new item or use an existing item like "Datacore" to allow uploading a flight log to it. It¦d have to be a contract item only I think. Just a thought.
Since chat logs are stored locally from all open windows, I thought this flight log could have many interesting uses to the user and allow a fundamental concept of your ships computer / navigation system, knowing where you¦ve been recently and interacting with it. Turning off all flight logs is always an option to throw in there.

-> DCR: Allow filtering chat channel windows where condition = =================================================== Description:
Allowing the user to filter players that appear in the chat channel windows will hopefully reduce bandwidwith from server to client as the filtering can be done on the server side and optimized. Also allows safer activity for players entering low sec or null sec to only show players which may pose a threat.
Allowing the ability to quickly switch between filtering options (Radial button?) to return to standard view or filtered view would make this functional for Scenario: See enemies entered system, quickly switch to all view to see if friendlies are in system as well.
As a pilot of a ship, this should be an easy ability of the onboard computer system to filter data coming from the communication nodes to "isolate desirable communication frequencies" or some such thing.
Filter By suggestions: -> Standing - Pirates -> Standing - War Targets -> Standing - Bad -> Standing - Neutral -> Standing - Good -> Standing - Greater than Neutral -> Standing - Less than Neutral -> Standing - Greater than or equal to Neutral -> Standing - Less than or equal to Neutral -> My Corp Only -> Not My Corp -> My Alliance Only -> Not My Alliance

-> DCR: Allow sorting/ordering player list in chat windows by ... =================================================== Description:
I would like to be able to order the player list in any chat channel by a variety of methods.
Examples: -> Sort/Order By "Standing Desc" (Worst Standing players show up on top (War Targets -> Bad Standing -> Neut Standing -> Good Standing)
-> Sort/Order By "Standing Asc" (Best Standing players show up on top"
-> Sort/Order By "Alliance/Corp Desc" (Alliances starting with Z at top then ordered by Corp Name)
-> Sort/Order By "Alliance/Corp Asc" (Alliances starting with A at top then ordered by Corp Name)
-> Sort/Order By "Joined Channel Desc" (Recently Joined to channel at top)
-> Sort/Order By "Joined Channel Asc" (Players in channel the longest at top)
-> Sort/Order By "Activity Desc" (Players with most voice / text contributions at top)
-> Sort/Order By "Joined Channel Asc" (Players with least voice / text contributions at top)
Purposes: - In heavy systems where scrolling down the local channel to see if any enemies are in the system, while the list is changing frequently, causes major headache and hard to report intel or to quickly see if the system is safe beofe you are uncloaked at a gate after the minute timer.
- Watching systems you own or are protecting, having recently joined members in channel show up at top helps to quickly identify new threats entering your territory (or territory you are conquering)

It is really annoying that chat windows cannot be scroll locked.
In some other systems, such as mIRC or MSN Messenger, if I scroll up even just one line, the auto-scroll of the window ceases, until I scroll down to the bottom again.

Not sure if this is within your scope, but when motherships got changed to supercarriers, the Hel got stuck with its old logistics bonus basically because there wasn't time to come up with something else. The 'promise' back then was "suck it up, we'll see how it works out, and revisit it later". I think by now we all really know what we already did way back when, that a logistics bonus on the mothership with the worst cap is cruel and that a logistics bonus on the capital weapon platform with the worst cap is plain mad.
So, could you nudge the powers in control to actually revisit the Hel's bonus? -- [17:47] <Mephysto> its dead, jim |

I've always thought it to be a bit cumbersome that when you hyperlink an URL in a eve-mail in-game, you have to remove the HTTP:// part when copy/pasting.

1) think this needs a grammar check: Tactical Response Trasmitter
for reference on the item above
2) and a second thing is, when I recently did the epic arc from the sisters of eve, it was annoying the popup text automatically went to the next message after a few seconds.
Can you maybe at the bottom of the popup text add a feature "Next" so we as a player can scroll through the text untill we hit the button "Close" ?
3) why cant I scoop up mining drones in the cargobay thats left behind in a belt or deadspace when the owner is off grid ?
When you are in a fleet its handy to grab it for your fleet member that left it behind after warping off.

Read back a little bit.
As for having transversal on tactical with funny lines and colors, the overview has transversal and angular velocity columns (not on by default) and can be sorted as such. Perhaps you would like an auto-targeter that can be fitted with scripts to auto target based on certain overview columns (velocity, range, transversal, etc)? Learn to use your overview.

I used to regularly go scanning for T2 drones that had been left behind in closed mission spaces. Had no trouble scooping to cargo. You must be doing it wrong.
