Yep... even I'm lil dissapointed to CCP in their way of handling some issues (like b...ing), they still do very decent job on keeping servers online and game running smoothly.
There rarely has been really long downtimes even the servers would crash in middle of (their) night.
Few hours every few months doesnt change that fact.
Thank you and keep up the good work on this part.

I work 6 hours, 4 hour break, then work 6 hours, then 8 off for sleep. Working on RAF Lakenheath doing hospital equipment maintenance...
Hence my 4 hour window to have some fun is important to me! Especially as I was reluctant at the idea of paying monthly for a game to begin with...
I used to drink in the bars on RAF Lakenheath on occasions when I was in the forces. Used to confuse hell out of me. Buying beer with a ú20 note, and getting like $26 in change, was like...wtf

At least this time CCP didn't kill off boot.ini on our computers with yesterday's 'hotfix'....
It gets pretty frustrating having to put up with CCP's shortcomings, and they keep adding on little by little.
In the very least I hope we get some free SPs, a lot of people don't have a 23 hour window to play EVE and some SPs at least offer some sort of a semblence of an apology and consolidation prize for not being able to log in.

A tall man, of military bearing, walked into the darkened briefing room. In the room, just visible though the heavy haze of cigarette smoke, a throw back to the old cold war days, sat some of the most powerful people in europe.

ôYes Sir, I have the full analysis of our cyber warfare experiment in this reportö replied the military man as he handed out the reports to all the shadowed figures around the table.

ôIn essence the results are dramatic to say the least. We have found that with a simple attack on one server of a games company the effects have cascaded through out the internet and in ôreal lifeö situationsö
ôWe found that traffic on many ISP servers came close to breaking as ôplayersö constantly tried to join the game even though it clearly said it would be another 1/2 hr before the game came back online. Rather than simply posting that it would be over 4 hrs before the game would come online we continually drip feed expectations that the game would be up ôshortlyö. This started a cycle to ISP overloads which quickly brought the internet to its knees.
ôWe also found that real life productivity fell dramatically as people who played the game at work constantly checked the forums and loading page to see if the game was online yet. In some cases productivity ceased all together. We expect many to ôget sackedö
ôIn an added piece of information denial we crashed the forum pages causing further frustration.
ôReal life situation have been dramatic. Many have taken to ôtalkingö to family members. This has caused untold domestic fights and in some extreme cases divorce proceedings have been started.
ôWe also noticed a rise in internet traffic to access , shall I say, ôadultö sites which has again fueled the fail cycle of ISP overload and added in many cases to the reported instances of Divorce stated earlier.
ôOthers have simply sat at monitor screens waiting for a reconnection. In effect passively neutralized
ôEnergy companies have also felt the strain resulting form increased use of electrical equipment in homes in the effected areas. Many continually ping the game server whilst watching tv, boiling kettles ( mostly UK) and playing other games consoles all at the same time.
ôIn summary - one simple denial has had untold ramifications beyond simple game play.

Well they got to not accepting connections this time... so we can hope right? normally means that there in making certain their fix is actually working.. unless we suddenly see 'Restarting' again.
and Navigators said it's in testing mode.. *crosses fingers* They musta found Boo and put him back on the wheel.. I think he escaped to go play and be petted in Balders Gate for a bit..

3 and a half hours late? Really CCP?
I wouldn't mind so much, but people pay a fair amount to play this game each month, but I'm guessing those people won't be seeing any sort of compensation for losing the better part of an afternoon break to play a game they PAID for, will they.
