I'm assuming it's a private venture otherwise why ask for funds. Which would mean it's an add-on, as I don't use add-ons why would I know of him. So if it is an add-on what's it called?

Find the system you are in, go to that map, and luxuriate
in the data available to you with that one feature. |

I don't mean to burst your money-making bubble, great advertising by the way and good luck hitting your target.
But you realise Google & Eve-wiki has all the info we need right?
Anyway, convince me to donate and I will, doesn't seem to pull me in that much.
Newbie looking for pvp corp or some kinda stuff-killing-corp or some WH action. ~3mil SP, can fly BC & soon CovOps.

I can see day by day how (for example) IT alliance went from 5600 members to 516?
I can see day by day how ^they lost sov, system by system and who took it?

I can see just by glancing over these two what the most volatile low-sec/ nul sec systems where in the past 12-24 hours?

Yes lets not forget the in built Eve map system helps you navigate various systems unknown to you with your fleet.
If you don't use Dotlan you probably don't get out much of the station, any competent FC will use Dotlan as a map planning system for intel.

Guys I'm not going to get into a contest about what you think is a great site and what you do and don't use.

Clearly, because scouting into unknown territory to write the map down by hand onto a piece of paper because Eve doesn't provide the sort of support manual map making or Dotlan does makes me lazy. Sure... how long are you allowed to come out from under the bridge?

Lilith Savage if you have a problem with this then don't donate, don't even post.
This is for a friend of mine who I see has devoted a lot of time to the eve community, he doesn't push himself to the front.
He doesn't clutter his site with ads! He is a hardworking guy that has developed this site so that others can get information that they need.
Hes always asking people how he can improve and yes there is only one of him that works on this site.
Please stop trolling and go somewhere else!

So, you obviously still don't understand what dotlan is. It is not an add-on. It's a website. All the information it provides can be found in-game (as it gets all its info from dumps) but all in one neat and tidy place.
Also it's obvious you don't pvp. I'm sorry what would scouting the route before hand accomplish? That's not what dotlan is for. It's for easily seeing all in place, sov, system activity, and route planning. Terrible troll 0/10.

Like everyone else in EVE (except for trolls who subscribe just to troll the forums) I love dotlan maps. The in-game map sucks noodles, and dotlan has such a large amount of information that it's practically required. Sure I have some minor pet peeves in how some of the information is displayed, but the sheer usefulness of the information makes dotlan maps one of the most important EVE websites there are. It's the only 3rd party EVE website I keep open in my oog browser 24/7.

I've been using DOTLAN for years. I don't PVP much, but I can't imagine doing all the stuff I do without it:
- planning jumps
- determining tru-sec by system
- determining planet types by system (for PI)
- determining ore/ice types by system
- determing station ownership/refine rates/and station services by system
- determining corp stations by region/constellation
- much more
And yes, I know all this detail is available other places, but DOTLAN combines it all into a really easy-to-use site. I used to rely on Ombey's maps, but ever since discovering DOTLAN, I canĈt imagine using anything else. Call me a fanboi or whatev, but this site is a must for any serious EVE player.
OP is right on, the site has no ads or annoying banners/pop-ups and IĈm willing to contribute to help keep it that way. Count me in!!

Dotlan has more than earned a few donation buck from me. I don't understand how anyone could miss it. If you google eve and map it comes right to the top. And if you are a fan of the automatic influence maps on evewiki, look in the upper left corner, third line. "Powered by DOTLAN EveMaps"
