I had 4 accounts banned on 5/19, I presume. I have not received an e-mail from a GM stating that is the case and why. And of course, when you're banned you cannot check Evemail or log in to check your account settings, change password, apply Plex, etc.
I've filed petitions from all 4 accounts, to the point where I may no longer file any more petitions from those e-mail addresses. It's been 11 days now. Is this the typical 'response' time to be told you are banned?
And to the nice gentleman from CCP, I've been waiting patiently for an e-mail and a response from a GM. Are these wait times typical? How do I get the matter escalated if no one has bothered to respond?
As to not be vague, I bought Isk on one of my 4 accounts not knowing it was taken so severely. I'm brand new to Eve (December 28th). I'm sorry and will accept any punishment. But, could I at least get some form of response? And why were the other 3 accounts banned, simply because I owned them? One had never even been logged into, I had just bought it that day to make a new Tengu alt.
The messageboard is the last place for this, I realize. But, it *is* the last place for it as I've exhausted all other avenues to receive communication from a GM.

You bought isk, and they have more important things to do than listen to people ask why they got banned while they bought isk.

While originally I wasn't planning on giving actual help in C&P, I will indulge in your question: It is probably not permanent. But if you buy isk again, it will be. Read the EULA next time please or search the forums for rules that have to do with ISK buying etc.
Now to get this thread back to the lower C&P Level:

Do I need to be more outraged?
I understand GTC's and selling them, now. It won't be an issue in the future. I just wish this had been communicated to me sooner.
I've been playing MMO's since UO and finally gave Eve a try after Ten Ton Hammer gave it the top award. I was warned about the customer service, so I guess I shouldn't be tremendously shocked. I'm just stuck at home inside recovering from surgery with nothing to do, and jacked up on pain killers. I wasn't using my best judgement at the time and am very frustrated to have lost all this gaming time.

why did u bought isk?
u can make iskies by converting GTC to plex ingame (that is a legal way) an du will get iskies

buy some GTCs, buy a new account, forget about the accounts that got banned. Bans for RMT are permanent.

I understand that now. At the time, I wasn't aware of the GTC mechanic. It's cool and I'll use it. When this incident occurred, I was in a chemically altered state and was rewarding myself by buying a nice new character.

I really hope that isn't the case. I was midst transferring a character over I'd bought myself as a treat. :((
From what corp mates tell me, selling gold for $$$ is the death sentence.... not buying. But, that could be folklore. Not having had any official communication on the matter sheds no light. :\

CCP ban people for buying isk? I thought that CCP just removed the isk and left you the option of buying it back off them via Plex. |

For op, You've played MMOs since UO and you don't know that RMT is bannable in just about every single MMO on the market? (MMOs that matters that is)
That said, Usually when they find an ISK buyer they just remove the isk from the wallet, Even if it's already been used, Often leaving you with negative ISK, You sure that's the reason for the ban? in fact, Are you sure it's a ban at all and the ISK purchase didn't also end up getting your accounts stolen by the sellers? |

No MMO (you say you've played others) condones buying game currency for real money from a third party.
They will probably restore the accounts but be ready to have a negative wallet.
But if you have not received any notice from CCP, your accounts may now belong to someone else who used your isk buying to hack your accounts.

Heh... You know that you got busted, so don't bother playing the "I was not aware" excuse.
In your case, you do sound fishy.
Being brand new + 4 accounts & buying a carrier pilot/T3 production is not the usual way to start an MMO. Being effective at that level needs intimate Eve knowledge, or you are simply starting out big to farm isk yourself & make a step into RMT. The RL cash investment to buy 2 of such characters is way to big for a starting random player to make. And you have not disclosed yet for what you use your other 2 accounts for, so it might easily be double what we know of now.
To go even further, there are two options.
1) The isk buyer you turned to is taking you out of business, they don't like competition.
2) CCP banned you for using RMT isk or RMTing itself. Although its somewhat unlikely seeing that you have not had any official notification by now.
Either way, turning to illegal funding has screwed you over. Now stop wasting our time & roll a regular account & go get a few kills in a rifter. Good way to start.

1st account, 10 million skill point 'main'. I don't plan on watching the skill bar move for the next 2 years until I can fly fun ships.
2ns account, Indy/Mining alt 50m SP, purchased. Trained her for leadership and gang boost with her from a PoS while ratting.
3rd account, 60m carrier pilot... new main while my first account ferments.
4th account, was planning on making Tengu pilots and selling them as a form of passive income.
As far as being a noob about RMTs, I'll still claim ignorance. Every game says they are 'not allowed' but only sellers are punished not buyers.

On this I claim BS. The pixels in this game are different and it was a steep learning curve. But, there is nothing 'new' here. Anyone with any experience gaming can move into 0.0 right away and have good times like I have.

Actually I'm recovering from spine surgery. I was warned not to make any "important legal or financial decisions" after having the anasthesia. I guess it should have been rectal surgery for as much as this burns. 12 days now waiting to know if I get my characters back or not, or if I need to be shopping.
I do have percocet, though, not all is lost.

You cannot log into your accounts to change your password or billing information if you are banned. I'm being charged still for banned accounts. It's the irony of the situation. You cannot file a petition, check on a petition, cancel your account, renew your account, etc. until a GM has in some way responded. I guess they're going to just keep charging my credit card for eternity.
